We were previously EcoShield customers, but after our recent experience with a hornet nest, we decided to call Alexandria Pest Services—and we are so glad we did. EcoShield initially came out to diagnose the nest, but unfortunately, they misidentified the problem. They treated it once and then told us we had to wait two full weeks before they would return to retreat it. During that time, the hornet nest continued to grow, and the first treatment had clearly done nothing. We called Alexandria Pest Services, and the difference was remarkable. They were able to come out within a day, properly diagnose the problem, correctly identify the species of hornet, and determine exactly what needed to be done. When Paul came out to treat the nest, he didn't just spray it and walk away. He carefully examined the nest, spent several minutes treating the initial activity, monitored the nest, and continued treating as necessary. He stayed for a good 30 minutes, carefully watching the activity and assessing the situation to make sure the treatment was effective. That level of care and attention made it clear that he was focused on actually solving the problem—not simply checking a box and moving on to the next appointment. The hornet activity was resolved quickly. Even better, within 48 hours, the company's Vice President, came out personally to make sure we were satisfied with the treatment and to double-check that there was no remaining activity and a retreatment wasn’t necessary. If it was, they would have immediately taken care of it. They also provided us with a 30-day guarantee. This experience was a great reminder of the difference between a large national company and a family-owned small business that truly cares about its customers. Alexandria Pest Services provided prompt service, knowledgeable technicians, thorough treatment, and genuine follow-through. We highly recommend Alexandria Pest Services and will absolutely call them again. It's experiences like this that make us want to support locally owned, family businesses. They treated us like customers who mattered—and that's something you don't always get from the big companies.

I was regularly frustrated with the service from Alexandria Pest Services. From the way they send estimates, perform services, conduct follow up, they have been truly underperformed. I will not use them again nor would I recommend them to anyone. Specific issues were discussed with one of the owners to no satisfying result.

Very professional. I called APS after I had another company come over and give me their assessment, and the difference was incredible. APS was professional, they immediately recommended what needs to be done, the process and were very professional and responsible in their tasks. They closed all the holes, put out traps and came over after 3 days to assess the situation and recommend plan forward. Really great company and dedicated people. My friend recommended them to me, and these are the same words she used to explain them. They really are the best.

Couldn't recommend Alexandria Pest Services enough! From their inspectors (Alan) to their technicians (Franklin) to their VP (Ricky), every single person we've worked with has been incredibly kind, thoughtful and transparent. We had MAJOR mouse issues after significant construction in our area. They understood our concerns with a little one in the house, and even worked with us to figure out a maintenance plan that fit in our budget. They really care about customer service, do not run on commission or try to upsell, and they're great about explaining what they see and what they're doing. We've already referred our neighbors. Alexandria Pest sent service tech. Kam out to perform a General Pest initial service for our home in Hayfield Farms.. Kam was on time for the appointment, which was very helpful. She took a few minutes to explain the "what and where" of the service. Again, it was very helpful as we have a pet , and we wanted to know how long to wait for the solution to dry.
