We’ve been using Century Pest Control for over a year now, and they’ve been fantastic! Ron always does an excellent job servicing our home—inside and out—and thanks to him, we haven’t had a single bug problem. He’s thorough, professional, and very accommodating with scheduling to make sure it’s always convenient for us. LADIES DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Michael Lynch came inspected , and tried to used the scare tactic on me and when he didn’t get the reaction he was expecting he called my tenant to scare her. When I told him she doesn’t need to be quoted because it is I who is paying and am the owner, and after leaving he even told her that I told him that I mentioned to him to not tell her. I just spoke with the owner and he TRIED TO DEFEND HIM , saying she was on the account but if I said I was the homeowner I am the point of contact and Michael left to call her immediately he wanted to scare her to push me to hire them. Michael said it was an infestation I had other companies quote me , and yes there are dropping BUT EVERYBODY ELSE told me minimal , and to bait first to see if there are any live activity. Michael did not say that he told me I needed the attic restoration immediately. Please, please always get other quotes, a mice is a stressful situation but do not this company scare you , do not hire them. If I could leave a zero star review I would.

Please run don’t walk away from this company. I paid upfront for services and was not provided the services promised. The sales guy Steve Lynch promised the world to combat a bug problem in our home. After the nice sales pitch and receiving my money there was nothing but massive confusion in terms of the (4) follow up appointments that were promised. The technicians come when they decide to, and not within the window of time scheduled. They just spray a few areas and gone within 5-10 minutes!!! No updates on progress…if you have a full day to sit around and wait on your appointment please do so!!! Reschedules are a nightmare also!!! They took my money and ran!!! No one from management will return your calls or hear complaints. Please go with a more professional and reputable company and btw…the bug problem was NOT decreased or eliminated!!! Shame on you Century for stealing money from customers who really need help and hired your company!!!

In part, I feel a little embarrassed for leaving Century this review. It isn’t that Century wasn’t a waste of money and a source of great stress. It was. My embarrassment is that I fell victim to inertia and should have fired them long – like years! – before I finally got fed up and did. And I didn’t realize the level of Century’s poor service until I brought in a new, more professional service. Like lots of people, I hired an exterminator because I saw mice in my house. Century promised, if I subscribed to their service, they’d deal with the problem. (Tip here: take note if a different exterminator shows up to each monthly visit and tells you something different. Big. Red. Flag.) For their first three months of visits, we kept seeing mice. Then our dishwasher stopped functioning. When a repair person pulled out the dishwasher… mouse city. Nobody from Century had ever bothered to check behind the washer. That was next to the stove. They hadn’t pulled that out either. So I called them and they came. Three months in they did what even their own folks said should have been done on the first visit. Think that solved the problem? Of course not. Yes, fewer mice, but still… mice. I kept calling and they kept coming. Still, mice. And then, more mice. Finally one of their techs came who asked about the crawl space/attic. ‘What’ve we done up there?’ As far as I know, they’d never checked the attic. There, a mouse metropolis. Mice in old plastic bins. Mice nesting in the insulation. Mice, mice, mice. Here’s where inertia and my laziness prevented me from doing the obvious: getting a new exterminator. The tech who checked the attic assured me he would get us settled and mouse free. All they needed to do was suck out all the old in insulation and (along with the mice) and lay new insulation. It only cost four figures (and six months of mice because nobody knew/could be bothered to check the attic). After that big bill, we had a few years with no mice. Great. I paid Century and they came, supposedly checking the inside and outside of the house. Then…yep, you guessed it; mice. And you can guess what happened. Months of calling. Months of them coming. Months of mice. Then at last another competent tech emerged. He reported that there were holes in the house. That’s how the mice were getting in. Mind you, I’d been paying Century for monthly inspections inside and outside the house. How come nobody ever noticed these holes? Shrugs. And now all I would have to do is pay Century still more to patch the holes. That were outside the house. That they’d inspected. Which they missed. Yep. What a bargain. After paying for that work, I kicked Century to the curb. Now I have a new pest company, costing around the same annual price. When we see a mouse, they come ASAP. They pull out appliances (ON THE FIRST VISIT), check attics, use better traps, and call/text to follow up on their service. The kicker? The other week we saw a mouse. The new company was there a few days later. They found again pulled everything out and found how the mice were getting through the house. The exterminator then checked my outside and told my wife that they’d found a breach in the house. Of course my wife asked how much it would be to seal the hole. ‘No worries,’ replied the exterminator. ‘It is all part of your service.’ Century exterminated my confidence. These guys brought it back.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this company for around six years, and I’ve had issues from the very beginning. To his credit, Brian, the general manager, has always tried to make things right, which is why I continued the service for so long. His daughter (whose name I can’t recall) is also a gem and always tried to help when I spoke with her. Unfortunately, the problems with this company outweigh the positives. Brian seems overwhelmed and often drops the ball. While he’s polite when I manage to get him on the phone (which requires constant calling and persistence), his follow-through is lacking. For example, he assured me he would update me on the status of my snake monitors, which they took to fix. Not only were they never repaired, but I also never received any updates. In fairness, they did spray something for snakes as a temporary fix, but it didn’t resolve the actual issue. The bigger problem lies with Dana in billing. She is absolutely the worst representative of this company and needs to be fired immediately. Dana is extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. The way she treated me was beyond diabolical—completely unacceptable. Her attitude made me question if her behavior was racially motivated, as she displayed a complete lack of respect, grace, or compassion. Because of Dana’s actions, Brian agreed to waive my service fee. However, it was never waived, and now my account has been sent to collections. Again, I want to believe Brian simply forgot (as seems to happen often), but it’s a poor reflection of the company. When I called to discuss the matter yesterday, Dana hung up on me repeatedly and treated me with outright hostility. Her hatred and disrespect are astonishing. The fact that the company allows this behavior speaks volumes about their lack of accountability and standards. To avoid stooping to Dana’s level, I’ve decided to pay the past-due amount (even though they originally said it would be waived) and take my business elsewhere. I refuse to tolerate such unprofessionalism and blatant disrespect any longer. For anyone considering this company, proceed with caution. They clearly have no regard for their customers, and the lack of accountability in their responses to bad reviews only confirms this.

Beware. I used this company and didn't do my research. I had a raccoon. They did not comply with the contract they wrote. Not placing traps correctly. Not installing new insulation to the correct depth. And after replacing the outside soffit for an additional $2500, it only kept the raccoon out for 5 days. When I asked for a refund of the $2500 (didn't argue the rest), they stopped all communication. Use someone else!

Hello, thank you for the review, but unfortunately that's not the whole story, your insulation was correct and for the raccoon, we had a warranty in place and would have fixed any and all issues if given notice. You proceeded with another company over the weekend when we were set to come out that following Monday to fix damage and then demanded a refund or you will take it legal. Our warranty is in place to protect your investment and to ensure you don't have to pay again but you couldn't wait one more day even though the raccoon never entered the attic space only the soffit. And we didn't stop communicating with you either, we have an email chain back and forth and multiple phone conversations.
I have used this service for one year and its very unprofessional. They claimed that they performed quarterly service without informing me on my exterior home. They should have set up some time with me before performing service, which they never do. They just call for clearing invoice every quarter multiple times(they have time for that), and when asked about the pest service performed, they give a random data saying "You were not at home and we performed the service". At last, I asked them to perform a service when I'm present at home which they refused and asked me to clear quarterly payments first. They keep you in this loop and do not perform actual work. Be aware very unprofessional service! They even threaten to send me to collection agency for just 200 bucks pending.

We had a hornets nest in our daughters bedroom window that needed removal and these guys charged $350 to spray what could’ve been raid in the hole that the hornets had burrowed into our house through. Didn’t remove the nest or patch the hole, this was just for spray. This guy seemed to be in some great hurry and didn’t clean up the dead bees all over the windowsill or anything. Maybe that would’ve been above and beyond but I would think they would handle that for this kind of money. We call wondering why they didn’t remove it and they say it’s not apart of the service we paid for. The $350 service. (???) So okay we have them come back to remove the nest for an extra $200, the guy comes in rushing and removes only part of the nest then tries to rush out before I can ask if he is going to patch the entry point from outside. My husband had clarified on the phone before this person came that we need that done, we were assured this would be done. Now this guy who is running away as if he’s trying to get out of doing the full job, says he doesn’t have a a ladder to do that. Are you kidding me?? He says we’ll have to call again and have someone else come out. Not that he’ll make sure he comes back out asap or anything close to good customer service. Also they were never on time. All in all, we found the service to be severely lacking and unprofessional and the pricing to be borderline scammy. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Thank goodness we didn’t sign up for the recurring service like some other people.

I’ve used the service in the past. Everything seemed rushed, but my initial issue was resolved so I didn’t think anything of it. I stopped service and started with a local, neighborhood service but had an emergency today and my new guy was out of town. I called Century, they were responsive, the ladies at the office super nice and helpful, but the tech was clearly in a rush to get home. He used scare tactics, told me I needed a complete overhaul that would cost $2400, then he went down to $1600 (what???) then said they could maintain the issue if I established a contract with them again. He looked a couple of places, I asked questions and basically said I had to get the costly service. When I appeared upset he just asked if I was afraid, I said I was and he just moved on. He was here maybe 10 minutes…didn’t look outside, didn’t check for entry points beyond the laundry room and sink, didn’t offer suggestions. It was near the end of the day and he treated me like it was. The thing about the larger services, you’re treated like a number. He offered no suggestions, nothing I can do on my own. Needless to say, I’ll be waiting for my new guy to return from vacation.
