Huge thanks to Frank from SavATree for his incredible expertise. I was really worried about a 12-inch Weeping Willow that had significant base rot and a hollow cavity. Instead of just recommending a removal, Frank took the time to explain the tree’s unique 'leg' structure and gave me a clear, professional plan to save it. ​He walked me through clearing out the root flares, applying the right fungicide, and even helped diagnose a separate issue with my American Hollies. It’s rare to find an arborist who prioritizes tree health and education over a quick sale. Of course they are very capable of providing the professional services needed too!

I had SavATree come out for multiple tree removal and stump grinding. They did an excellent job despite the primary tree being so dead and therefore, more dangerous to remove. They also did the stump grinding for all trees requested properly per my request (I learned many years ago the hard way when I was NOT given options!) that there are 3 tiers to stump grinding so I knew EXACTLY what to ask for this time! And it was performed correctly so thank you! They were all kind and informative and very efficient. They removed 4 trees total (the other 3 were smaller ones) and trimmed limbs I had requested as well. They cleaned up their mess prior to leaving. Thanks!

Quick response to request for estimate with timely follow up. Upon acceptance of estimate the work was done soon after. The day the work was done it rained but work crew completed trimming and cleanup. Everything was to our satisfaction from Corey (arborist) to the work crew and follow up we couldn’t be more satisfied. Will use again if needs arise

They showed up on time, they did a fantastic job trimming our trees, grinding out three stumps, and removing a tree. We had a spot in our driveway where the tree roots pulled up our driveway. They ground out the stump and smoothed out our driveway. I highly recommend SavATree.

SAV-A-TREE is an upscale company with highly trained professional arborists. Two days were needed for our project, access to rear lawn was tight. Nothing was disturbed or damaged. SAV uses all of the latest equipment to get the job done. Working with Colton Bauer & Brad his crew leader, was an enjoyable experience. They even had a “trainer” drop by & share information with the crew. All of our trees just needed a good trip to the spa. If you need top notch service contact SAV-A-TREE! They performed the work expertly and efficiently, exactly as discussed and promised. Yard clean-up could not have been better. I was a bit hesitant when they required the entire payment up front, but in the end I have no complaints at all.

From the locally owned Greenhaven to now the national Savatree, our service has been exceptional for over 30 years. We have had major tree work over the years; uprooted large pines, large pines coming down in ice storms and windstorms, uprooted stump removal, routine pruning of a large oak, etc. Never an issue with the firm.

Kalyn was the technician who treated my maple tree. He also provided advice on some other trees in my yard. Overall, did an outstanding job!

Colton communicated really effectively throughout the initial appraisal through the removal and the team worked quickly to remove my tree, cleaned up the yard nice than before the tree fell on it, and went above and beyond in every way they could. Called Sav a tree to prune a few trees and have a stump removed. Matt was great when he came out to assess the job. I had an invoice emailed to me right after our meeting. I paid half the invoice, as requested, to get the job scheduled. Then crickets. After a week I called them to schedule and was told Matt was on vacation and it would probably be another 2 weeks to get on the schedule. But when I ask for a refund and to cancel the job, magically they could get me in sooner. They came to do the job but only to prune the trees not to remove the stump because 311 hadn’t marked for utilities. After pruning the trees the balance was charged to my credit card. Typically you pay the balance when the job is completed. I called to inquire and was told it was automated. I did dispute with my Cc company as the job is not completed. But was ask to work it out with save a tree. Again was told that 311 had 2 business days to mark utilities. Well that took place 5 business days ago and still have heard nothing from Sav a tree. But I did receive the email asking to review their service. So I have paid in full, and the stump is still in the ground. The utilities have been marked for 5 business days and still crickets.

I hired SavATree based on a family members recommendation. I however do not feel as if I would now do the same. The initial visit with the arborist, Matt, went great. He was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. The office’s communication seems to be a problem. I said the initial visit went well however—he did not come on the scheduled date or time. I was luckily available when he did arrive unexpectedly. I opted to go with them and after scheduling the tree trimming with the arborist (which they didn’t even come on the initial scheduled date—this seemed understandable to me bc it was a week of snow storms) I got another call from the office asking me if I had considered their proposal and if I wanted to move forward. Naturally I was confused since the other person I had communicated with gave me a confirmed time and date. I had them trim limbs from a large tree in my front yard which apparently they just dropped these limbs from 25+ feet up because now my front yard is riddled with large holes. This service was over a month ago and as we all know, tree work is not inexpensive. Yesterday I had a technician knock on my door and tell me he was there to fertilize my tree. I was a little surprised because I didn’t sign a contract for ongoing services so figured that maybe it went with the initial invoice. Much to my chagrin, a day later I received a new invoice for $250. It is a Friday afternoon and apparently their staff doesn’t work/answer the phones on Fridays after lunch as I have called repeatedly trying to get to the bottom of this service that I don’t believe I asked for and am now being billed for. As I said, I would probably not recommend this company in the future.

Made an appointment week ago, was supposed to get a call yesterday or get an email with estimate on tree removal, never heard back from them, call them and was told they were not able to find my house as the zipcode is ***43 not ***23!!!!!! OBVIOUSLY SOMEONE MESSED UP AND JUST BLAMED IT ON THE ZIPCODE, WAS NOT TOO HARD TO FIGURE IT OUT OR CALL ME OR SEND ME AN EMAIL AS THEY GOT ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL MY INFO TO CALL AND FIGURE IT OUT!!! Just be honest and upfront; say the actual reason if someone made a mistake just apologize instead of coming up with an stupid excuse and underestimate your customer who called you and did a follow up just to give you business and obviously you do not care! wish you good luck

Anthony the Arborist was almost an hour past initial consultation time with no contact. I had to call the office who contacted him, and I received a text about 45 minutes later telling me he had a family emergency and rescheduled with me for the afternoon. I am most definitely understanding of family emergencies. However, I received no call and was essentially left hanging for over two hours that I hadn’t carved out for this before receiving any type of notification. I text him back a few hours later asking if he still plans on coming, because we’re expecting rain. He then tries to reschedule for another day. Basically any type of communication would have satisfied me, but I was left with nothing, and on my initial experience with the company at that. I would not recommend this company based on my experience, as it was incredibly unprofessional.

They are very knowledgeable and experienced, carrying out various tree care services. Always on time. They do a good job, communicating with you and planning to carry out the job based on weather conditions. I would Recommend then for your home or business.

These people are sloppy to the point of damaging or even killing trees. When cutting branches they leave stubs that will die and send rot into the tree trunk killing the tree. I pointed this out to the worker, who said he realized I was right and did it because he was in a hurry. (Nobody should ever be in this much of a hurry. This is not an excuse but an admission of incompetence.) He said he would go back and fix the problem .... HE LIED ! which was even worse. I would never never never hire these people. I should have taken a picture. Every single cut was done this way. I have seen other tree companies do this. Beware ! If you love your trees, keep an eye on the tree pruners, and make them do it right !

If you want then to come out and look at your trees, they will, and an arborist comes. However, if you want anything other than an estimate for tree trimming or removal, for example--should you remove a tree, is a tree diseased, is it dead, then it's a "consultation" and they charge you $85!! Other companies come out and it's a free estimate, period. Choose elsewhere.
