Sales reps make you not want the service. Terrible representation and said “have a good day” abruptly then hung up on me when I told him the price was too high and I would use my spreader and do it myself before I paid that much.

Response from Farison Lawn Care

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your experience left you feeling frustrated. We understand that pricing is an important consideration, and while our services may not be the right fit for everyone, we never want anyone to feel dismissed during a conversation. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we will address it with our team!

By far the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a company representative in my life . Very rude and they make absolutely no attempt to fix any issues that arise . They would just hang up on you instead. Was quoted one price at the beginning then came back with a higher price.

Response from Farison Lawn Care

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience. The change in pricing was due to an initial measurement error, as the first estimate was based on a smaller lawn size than the property requested for service. While we do want to clarify that point, we also understand your frustration and agree that every conversation should be handled with professionalism and respect. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, we take these situations as an opportunity to learn and improve our service.

Your webpage will not process my email so I am posting it as a review. On Wednesday of last week (2/25/26) I came home to find that my lawn had been treated by your company. There was a sign in the yard and a bill on my door. I am not paying the bill you left. I did not sign up for your service nor do I want your service. As a “lawn care” company, I am sure you are aware that applying fertilizer this early in the middle of winter, will only negatively impact the grass and will promote weed growth. I suppose that’s why the bill had a note to contact you if weeds become an issue. This type of scam is bad business practice. I will follow up if any financial damages occur due to your company’s negligence. I’m sure the person that did agree to your scam is still awaiting his lawn treatment. Do not call or text my phone. If you feel the need to follow up you may do so via email only.

Response from Farison Lawn Care

Hi Evan,
Our website was down yesterday for a bit, and I regret its come to this review. I understand the situation and would like an opportunity to speak with you. Its important to know that now is the time to apply fertilizer and pre-emergent to lawns and nothing that was applied will have a negative impact on your lawn. We have no way to reach you and would appreciate you reaching out.
Aerated and overseeded my lawn on Saturday. Saw the Farison truck pull up on Monday. As I stepped outside, Perry said hello and commented immediately about the work. He already saw where the yardwork had been done and applied the right fertilizer to help. Glad to have someone who knows my situation and pays attention to my yard! GRATEFUL FOR PERRY!

Started lawn care with Farison and I requested them to come back out because of the crabgrass shown in the picture. Someone from Farison called and began trying to teach me about all the other types of weed grasses it could possibly be and basically make excuses that it is not treated except with pre-emergent in the spring. Why would I or anyone else hire them to treat a yard and pay $55 a pop to keep it looking like crap?!?!?!? Ridiculous.

Response from Farison Lawn Care

Hi Ed,
The first application you received from us was less than two weeks ago! You must prevent crabgrass from growing with pre-emergent in early spring. We do not apply post emergent crabgrass control- and would have appreciated the opportunity to have a conversation with you. We wish you the best!

Called for estimate and very blunt and said they were not interested in treating my lawn. I told Scott that I have Zoysia in the front lawn. I only wanted back and sides but he said they were not interested. They need to remove me from their mailer.

The tech Parker that has been to my house 3 times was rude every single time. Instead of finding a solution to an issue he just talks down to people and then I find out he is one of the owners. With his lack of customer service skills he should stay in office instead of talking to people. He does know a lot about weeds and grass but know zero about to treat people.

Response from Farison Lawn Care

Hi Rich,
We are sorry that after 1 application we did not meet your expectations. Customer satisfaction is important to us, which is why we were deligent in coming back to your property. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and we wish you the best!
Nice people for sure, but there is a lack of proactive follow up when your lawn has issues. I’ve had Farison service for a few years now, and sometimes the grass looks very nice, but when it doesn’t I expect the lawn professionals to investigate and understand why the lawn has died in large areas. And I should automatically be placed on a reseeding list for the fall seeding (which I would have gladly paid for), when the Farison tech treats my yard 5x a year and sees a real issue. They didn’t do that. I’m not looking for a free seeding just proactive lawn service, they are supposed to be the expert not me. I don’t have a dog or do I ever spray my lawn, and yet that was the first thing the tech suspected was wrong with my lawn when I sent the pictures and asked for their advice.Until Farison becomes proactive at their service I would look elsewhere.

Response from Farison Lawn Care

Mr. Hynes,
With over 50 years of experience, we are pros at identifying lawn diseases, grub damage, and heat & drought stress which are all common reasons lawns turn brown. However, there are circumstances where the cause isn’t always known, but a solution was offered. After meeting with the owner twice, the game plan was to give you free seed to spot seed the areas yourself. We offered to squeeze you into our booked seeding schedule, but felt it was in your best interest to do it yourself because our minimum seeding price wouldn’t justify hiring the work out. Our customers best interest is always our top priority! We appreciate you taking the time to write a review, and wish you the best of luck!

Oh my, where do I start. Farison started out very decent and easy to deal with; then it went downhill in the years we used them. Originally, we wanted to use them for power seeding but they said they only power seed their existing customers that have lawn care service with them. Totally fine and understandable so that is when we signed up for all year long maintenance. The following power seeding year comes up and we ask them to come out and give us a quote. They refused to do our backyard due to the grade which was fine but the way they handled my concern about it was ridiculous. Someone called and acted like I would put their lives at danger if I had them come out, when all I did was question why it wasn't possible. Then about 6 months later, I noticed their service person spraying our lawn missed an area on the side of our house. Since Farison has a "Lawn care guarantee" I thought it would be no big deal, mistakes happen, and they would send them back out to spray the area they missed. Kylie (the co-owner), spoke to me on the phone and requested the camera footage, I sent her the video immediately. A couple hours later she called me saying they sprayed and I am just not seeing it even though the video showed the issue. Notice how another low starred reviewer had this exact same issue? THEN, this month as they've been taking care of my yard for 2 years now, there's huge bald patches in the front of my lawn. From my understanding, using their services was supposed to keep my lawn healthy and green. I didn't even try to fight them on it because I know they would balk at it and come up with a rude response to it. The only plus side is that cancelling their services was as easy as it could get, and they probably wanted to be rid of me anyways. I recommend shopping around and finding a company who listens to their customers concerns and doesn't take questions personally like this one does. We will not be using them in the future and have moved our business elsewhere.

I have been a Farison customer every year since 1981. My husband was friends with Dan Farison one of the original owners I always elect to receive all of the services offered. For nearly forty four years I have been happy with the services; however, two years ago I started noticing this weird grass in the apron of my lawn. I was on the list last year to receive a lawn renovation but after speaking with Perry, the man that actually treats my lawn, he convinced me that my lawn was in better condition than most lawns so I canceled the renovation. This unusual grass has now spread to the center of my lawn in many places. I contacted them last week asking for the owner to come look at the situation. He did not come but again sent Perry. Perry assured me yesterday that he would speak with the company and see if they could renovate my lawn since this situation has escalated and they are today renovating my next door neighbor's lawn. Perry knows that the advice he gave me last year wasn't accurate. My neighbor used them briefly in the past but quit because he was unhappy with their services and said they were too expensive. Since then he asked this spring for them to renovate his lawn due to the Bermuda grass in his yard. They put him on their list. I have asked for the same service after being a customer for 44 years and because I did not ask in the spring they will not come. Scott ,the person that does the renovation, called me this morning and was quite angry and yelled at me and told me the were FULL!!!!! He could not believe I thought I should be put in front of two hundred other people. I am a widow and 78 years old and I can honestly say that I have never been talked to in the way that I was addressed by him this morning. He said all the GOOD companies would not take me on at this point for renovation and any company I found would not be worth a damn. Needless to say I am canceling all services with them and I have asked for a refund as I always pay in full in January. I am really appalled at the treatment I have received after all these years but I believe that the new generation of Farisons is truly a different breed of folks. In the meantime, I have found a new company and I have used this company in the past for landscape. They are great to work with and appreciate your business. If you want full service and a caring company that values your loyalty I would NEVER recommend Farisons. I will be spreading the word. I have at least five to ten people that drive by my house every week here in Plainview Florian Road and tell me that they so admire my home. This is really unfortunate.

My experience with Farison was less than ideal. The service cost me around $1,000 a year and is supposedly backed by a warranty where if you aren't satisfied they will come back out and retreat which was a selling point for me. Unfortunately it failed to deliver. With the weed killer, I experienced some stubborn nutsedge and spurge and asked for a follow-up treatment. There were some areas of my yard where they knocked it and others where they must have missed. I called and asked for another treatment but instead of coming back out they argued with me that whatever I have doesn't respond to treatment and will die back when it gets cold anyway. I ended up buying some weed spray and killed it myself, it wasn't worth the hassle going back and forth. About once a month I'd walk the lawn spraying what they missed which wasn't a ton but enough to annoy a lawn nut like me. I also have some bermudagrass which I know they can't treat so I'm in the yard treating it with Turflon Ester anyway and it wasn't a big deal to spray what they missed. Frustrating but not a deal breaker. In another instance my bluegrass/fescue started to turn brown between treatments despite my irrigation and no signs of disease. I called to have them fertilize it and was told I was on the schedule to get treated the following week. After the treatment I read the slip and they just applied weed killer and not fertilizer. I didn't want to deal with them anymore so I bought a bag of Scott's fertilizer and it greened up in a week. Considering how much it costs I shouldn't have to and I shouldn't have to call and fight to get someone out. I decided this year to cancel my service, I can buy my own weed and feed for half the price and ensure my lawn looks great. They don't let you cancel online, you have to call and to their credit it was a 2 minute call to cancel. The person on the call reminded me of their warranty service and I gave my feedback that I tried but they didn't do anything when I asked. After the call, I get an email from them saying after they looked at my account that there were notes that I had bermudagrass and lawn disease previously and that likely caused the browning. I'm not gonna lie, it set me off and drove me to this review. Yup, I have some patches of bermudagrass in the rear of my house and yes I had some dollar spot last year during a warm and humid period. But I'm not dumb enough to mistake my entire lawn being brown from lack of nutrients with dollar spot or bermudagrass. It was the same kind of treatment I received when I called trying to utilize the warranty. They think the customer is an idiot and will treat you that way. It's not worth the money, you'll end up doing it yourself like I did. Included is a picture of my yard that's supposedly overrun with bermuda and disease right after I applied my own fertilizer last year. No thanks to Farison!
