This is the only pest control company I'll ever recommend! I love this family business – it's so rare to find a truly family-run company these days, let alone one that's been passed down through generations. They're top-notch, handle everything, are easy to work with, and have great rates. I love them!

We’ve been using Bright for a couple years now for a quarterly service and have no plans of stopping. Since they’ve been coming, we’ve only saw ants in our house 1 time after a heavy rain and my daughter left cookies on the counter. They came out same day, no extra charge!, and took care of it! The price is amazing and the service works!! Every tech we’ve seen has been amazing!! They are all friendly and polite. They complete the job quickly and with no mess, they even wear shoe covers!! My husband is sensitive to fragrances, and the stuff they spray has no smell. It’s great that for less than 15 minutes and well under $100* four times a year, I don’t have to worry about any pests!!! Lastly, the lady at the office (Brandy, I believe) is amazing!!!! She is so friendly and easy to work with. Note- they accept credit cards, but they do not carry credit card machines. If you pay with card you call Brandy (did I mention she was great?!) and she takes it over the phone. This is not at all a negative! Super quick! *Obviously, I am speaking of my own experience. Price will depend on service, square footage, and many other factors!! However, they were the cheapest we found!!!

Received quotes to spray a medium sized apartment complex I own from Bright, Black diamond, Boggs and Rick’s. Brights quote was 7x - 11x (seven to eleven times!!!) the other quotes. It was shocking, for a quote that three other reputable local companies quoted $325-525 they quoted $3648. I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but being the cost was insultingly high, I felt compelled to warn others who may be being ripped off. EDIT to reply to owner: 1630 Greentree Blvd, Clarksville, IN 47130

I have been a customer of bright pest control since 2018. We have had our home treated/inspected yearly since beginning our contract. Our most recent inspection was 4/2024. We have recently placed our home on the market and during inspection, bright pest control was asked to perform an inspection. During the inspection Mr. Bright stated he saw “brown recluse spiders throughout the basement” Less than 8 weeks from their prior inspection, in which my home was found to be in good condition. Following this inspection, I personally called Mr. Bright and asked him to show me his findings. My son is autistic and terrified of spiders therefore, I have sticky traps placed throughout the basement. These traps did not have spiders on them. I asked Mr. Bright to show me his findings so that I could learn what to look for and correct the problem. His response was to find another company that would do a free inspection. He blatantly refused to come back to my home stating that he is an “entomologist” and knows what he saw and does not owe me an explanation. Taking his advise, I did consult another company. Not only did they walk through my home with me, they took each sticky trap that I had in my home and reviewed them under a microscope. They did find normal “attic spiders” and a couple of wolf spiders. What they did not find was any evidence of brown recluse. My negative review is not for falsely condemning my home but for the Mr. Brights rudeness and arrogance in which he refused to show me the finding that he noted which included a poisonous spider. It’s unfortunate that since he was unable to find termites due to their treatment warranty that he chose to find another problem that did not exist in order to line their pockets. I would have been happy to treat the problem if Mr. Bright would have been willing to show me his findings. Turns out there was nothing there to begin with.

I would not recommend this to anybody. Please go look for another service. The guy came for 10 minutes and stated he was there for 1 hour 20 minutes. he did not spray most of the house and took advantage of the fact that my dad did not monitor his work. I called Bright Pest Control to fix the issue as no bugs were dead in my house, but they asked to be paid more for a follow up service and did not reimburse or do anything about the money that I paid for the first time.

This is a review I sent to Bright PC via their contact section on their website. I never received a response. Any updates to the original email will be placed in brackets. Thank you for your help with our house. I understand the difficulty of identifying the bug issue in our home. However, we will not be recommending your company to others, nor do we plan to use your services for the following reasons: 1. In his initial inspection, Rob did very little looking around our house, if at all. He only came to look at the basement on our request. He remained in our kitchen lecturing us on the necessity of 'sanitation' and cleaning. He also began to indicate that my wife may be experiencing 'parasitosis' [essentially the paranoia of a bug infestation when there likely is not one, a fear of bugs, seeing things that are not there.] 2. In the final follow up call from Rob, he told Nancy that she is experiencing parasitosis and that the bug is a 'black ant.' The identification of the bug is highly suspect, and if it is a black ant, then why did he not suggest a treatment option? Also, parasitosis is a clinical diagnosis. Upon his own admission, Rob said that he is not a psychologist. If he is not a psychologist, then he is not qualified to tell ANYONE that they have parasitosis. He has no business throwing that term around. My wife, on the other hand is a licensed counselor. She is qualified. If this is a company policy to use this term or to suggest it to customers, then it needs to be revisited. [Nancy contacted your certifying board, and the agent said that Rob's 'diagnosis' of parasitosis' was unprofessional and should not have been made. Also, Rob saw the bites on her leg and still said she had parasitosis'. We were not making this bug issue up.] 3. We never got the sense that Rob listened to us. Rather it seemed that he already had in mind what to do or not do. 4. Wes, on the other hand was a great technician who listened and coached us through this. If you had sent Wes instead of Rob, we might still use your services. 5. I have repeatedly asked for estimates on regular service on our home and yard and have not received anything. It gives the impression you are pushing us off and do not want our business. 6. Your office staff is great. Thank you Priscilla, Carla, and Brandi. They were extremely helpful and we do not have any issues with them. 7. There was no literature offered or suggested on how to prep for fogging/spraying, or what we could do to mitigate our issue. Having this literature would have been extremely helpful. Customers under the stress of infestation need this. 8. A second pest control company has positively identified a bug in our house and has recommended a specific treatment. You may contact me if you wish. Having been in the customer service industry at one time for 20 years, this has been a disappointing experience. I would hope you do things differently with other customers. Please do not throw around parasitosis like you are able to diagnose it unless you are professionally licensed to do so. Richard McD

Bright Pest Control tried to scam us with a threatening invoice letter about three months after we moved into a new house. The seller, an elderly widower, said he didn't have pest control but that his late wife, who passed about ten years ago, once had termite monitoring stations installed. He didn't maintain them and didn't know anything about the company that installed them. Our home inspector said they were empty and some were broken. I could see that they were over grown and abandoned. They were ugly an interfered with our landscaping so I dug them up and threw them away. We had insect damage and rotten wood around the window that we had replaced so clearly no insect control products had been used in a while. I got an invoice letter that started like a car warranty scam call. "We've been trying to contact you about your warranty. . ." The envelope was addressed to us by name at our new address so they clearly knew we were new residents but the letter was addressed to Valued Customer with a hand written account number in the corner with a bill for $270. I called and told them to close the account and take us off their mailing list. She said they would have to remove the monitoring stations so I told her what I'd done. She got mad and said they would have to come to our property and double check they were all removed and that I shouldn't have thrown them away because they weren't mine. I said they were on my property and I didn't sign a contract and the seller didn't have a contract so I they were mine. I told her they weren't to come to our house and that I would call the Police if they tried. She called me nasty so I'm doing as I threatened and writing this for the public to know. I am nasty to people who try to threaten and scam me.

Provider response

We have been servicing this property annually according to the contract with Curtiss B. Smith since April of 1998. I have a signed ticket from Mr. Smith when the last service was performed on 7/17/20. As our normal protocol we send out notices every year to let our customers know it is time to renew the annual warranty. Once we have a response by payment for a phone call we schedule an appointment to do an annual check inside and outside while checking each bait station. We had no knowledge the house had been sold until we received our notice back in the mail. At that time we checked with PVA to find out who had purchased the property and then sent a notice to the new homeowner to give them an opportunity to take over the warranty. All of our notices start with Dear Valued Customer. Our process is to send three notices with the final notice letting them know, if the warranty is not removed we will have to remove the termite bait stations as they belong to Dow Agro Sciences. We pride ourselves as a family owned business and we do not threaten, harras or scam our customers and we do not do "hard-sell-face-to face". I am sorry if she felt that way. Also we had been contacted by the previous owner in 2018 as to possible activity in the area mentioned it was checked and found to be water damage.

I feel as if I got a bait n' switch. The treatment was ineffective. I called within the window provided to ask for a tech to come back and they advised there would be another charge after I had been told that would not be the case.

I called because I had a home inspection that showed that there has been animals in the attic. They asked me to tell them what kind of animals they were and refused to come out until they knew. How would I know??? I am not a pest control person. It is their job to inform me of what it could be it was completely bizarre.

Provider response

Caroline, I apologize we do not do animal control so it would be best for you to have a company that does animal control to identify what animals may have been in the attic. Thank You

Unfortunately after informing the company about my puppy, they assured my that the service was safe for dogs. My puppy got very ill after being exposed to the chemicals, costing me about $200 visit to the emergency vet. They sent me the ingredients of the chemicals claiming "nothing was dangerous to dogs, and that they were dog lovers". Two of the ingredients cause dogs harm, and my pup showed the exact symptoms. (Prallethrin and Petroleum distillates)

Provider response

Bright Pest Control in no way would use products that would cause harm to humans or animals. These products are specifically chosen and researched through the manufacturing companies to insure that they are safe to use in and around homes and businesses. The product is designed to dry within 10-15 minutes, depending on the surface. As you stated you left with the puppy immediately after the service and did not return till after work. According to the manufacturer the puppy would have to consume a large of amount of the actual liquid to cause sickness. Per your phone call the vet stated that without further testing the pup did not show signs of product consumption. We hope you understand these facts and also hope the pup is feeling better, we are dog and cat lovers and use these same products at our own homes.

Used to be a great company but no more. Scheduled our quarterly service 4 times. Never called. Never showed. Feel bad for the good people who work there but cant continue to waist my time waiting for them not to show up. Done with Bright.

Provider response

Emma, I am the owner of Bright Pest Control and not very happy about what I am reading. We pride our selves on customer service. What you are saying is unacceptable and I am going to thoroughly investigate into what has happened. I would love to keep your service, and would be willing to perform this quarterly service at no charge. Please let me know the address so I can look at the account and get this issue resolved. Thank You

A little over two years ago, we had termites swarm in our house in May. We contracted with Bright Pest Control to provide termite treatment. They came and for around $2,000, they inserted about a dozen green termite bait containers around the exterior of our house in the ground. These look just like the ones you can buy from big box lumber and home supply stores for $150 +\- After one year, they notified us that if we wanted to continue to be covered under the warranty, it would cost another $300. Reluctantly, we paid the additional $300 and they came out to inspect the bait containers. They determined no activity. This is the type of bait that the foraging termites are supposedly attracted to and they take it back to the colony which then kills the colony. Long shot if you ask me. During the following year,we found more evidence of termite damage and Bright came out and sprayed in a localized area to treat those termites. The second year (about a month ago), they called to collect the next $300 and we declined. We felt like we had spent enough ($2300 at this point), and had found more termites in interim period anyway. We realized that by declining to pay the additional annual fee, we would be giving up warranty on treatment. At this point, we had decided it was a bad decision to purchase that type of treatment anyway and we were just throwing good money after bad. Well, to really confirm our decision of what a bad choice we had made, unbeknownst to us, Bright Pest Control then sent a technician out to gather up the plastic bait containers. Not that they really work anyway, but apparently, the service is nothing more than a rental service for some bait containers at what is an extremely high cost and had no apparent effect on the termites that live around here. $2300 for the use of 12 plastic cylinders for about 30 months? That, is what I consider a huge rip off and should be illegal.
