Did not spray around aboveground pool or under deck area, only grass surfaces was treated. Past treatments these areas were completed. Preferably not this tech again

First of all I apologize this was wrong company that gave me false information. I did cancel because I had multiple appointments scheduled and canceled due to emergencies. But should have stated in your reply but you are not the company in mentioned. And left it at that I'm not giving your personal information out here do not give mine! You had nothing to do with what was done and I don't know how you know so what kind of communication you got going on here?

I am a dissatisfied client. I provided Star City the opportunity to make things right but unfortunately, they failed to do so. I contracted them for groundhog removal and they did not adhere to the contract stipulations. They did not communicate with me regarding the removal of traps, filling of holes, and did both of these without my consent. I found customer service to be less than understanding regarding the situation and as a result will never use them again.

We apologize you are dissatisfied Mr Kirby. We followed our company protocols to fill the groundhog hole if no activity during our second week of trapping to make sure the hole is still being used by the groundhog(s) so that we do not continue to charge you for animal not currently using that hole. We also pulls traps for all three day holiday weekends. We offered to set your traps back for another week with no trap set up charge and just our daily trap monitoring fee that includes checking the traps, putting baits and lures in each trap. You were upset that we were charging to check the traps on Monday, but it is not a trap check fee. It is to monitor the traps, bait and lure the traps, we have to charge for that service. You were also upset that we were charging for the week up front ($375) and that is our company policy to charge before we place the traps. I hope this helps explain our difference with you. Either way, we hope you have a great day and have success removing your groundhog problem.

If I could give Star City 0 stars I would. They got the bats out of the attic in 2023 and we had bats again in the attic this year (2024). I had no idea there were multiple points of entry. Star City either didn’t look, or they didn’t care about the other problem areas. When we called them about the issue, they promised a “steep” discount and the quote came back a good deal higher than in 2023. On their return visit, they also did not look and find other places that the bats could have come in again. I cannot express how disappointed I am with them as they were highly recommended. Had we continued using Star City we would have had reoccurring bat problems in our attic every year.

We are sorry to hear that Aaron. We did your bat exclusion work in 2023 at your gable vents. In 2024, the bats used a different entry point. We returned to your house and offered a discount to seal up the ridge vent. The price to seal up the ridge vent is more expensive than the original gable vents that we did the exclusion work on the first time, but we did offer a discount on the second service. We apologize that you were not satisfied with SCPC.

I’m sending this review in for concerns of wildlife and fish at Smith Mountain Lake and also the misuse of pesticides and insecticide. I live at the lake and my neighbor gets a monthly treatment at their house. The last time starcity pest control surfaced my neighbors house I got really concerned.I watched the technician spray with the backpack mister really close to the water front I thought this is not good inless they are using a all organic product. When the technician finished his service, I approached him at his truck. I asked him what they were spraying for and what they were using. He stated that they were spraying for mosquitoes and ticks, and that they were using a product called lambda star and Proflex. I decided to read labels on both of these products, this is very alarming. What they are doing and I did contact higher authority. Lender star label states you shouldn’t treat body water unless you’re 25 m away equals 82 feet. Technician was right at the waterfront that’s against label very toxic to fish and wildlife. Pro flex kind of warning as lambda very dangerous to fish and wildlife. I bought a house at the lake to enjoy the fish and wildlife. Now I have to be concerned with a pest control company that is not doing the right thing. What else is this company doing behind closed doors. Sorry its 25ft. Read all restrictions on label. Good morning Marta Cruz, we apologize and understand your concerns. As we train all service technicians to read, and follow label recommendations. The Environmental Hazards state not to apply this product "directly" to water or to areas where surface water is present, or to internal areas below the mean high water mark. There is no 82' setback. You must take into account rain, and wind which all of our staff does. When treating around bodies of water, we use those products, but we also use Essentria and Naturcide products labeled to be used over water. He came out at 2:41 and left at 2:56. there is no way he did our yard in that amount of time. He did not show up on the cameras that points to our yard. My neighbor said she did not see him spray our yard.

This company states that they offer free bed bug inspections seeing that my renter moved out of my home over 6 months ago that had bed bugs and it has been treated I don't know what company they used and I told them that it went from being free to $150 who does that to a person that's 80 years old on disability not any kind of company that's accredited for supposedly helping people in Roanoke valley especially as bad as bed bugs are today if you need to get rid of your bed bugs use crossfire I guarantee it works and it's also 50 dollars a jug on Amazon I would not waste me time with this company MY RESPONSE TO THIS OWNERS LIES BELOW I ask about my grandmothers house that renters had moved out of hence the state ment grandma most people called grand ma or pa have small grandchildren I have the call recorded no one ever said not one cuss word it shows you will CLEARLY GET OVER ON A CUSTOMER IF THE RIGHT TIME ARISES YOU ARE NOT HELD LEGALLY TO A LETTER THAT YOU DO NOT SEE BEDBUGS SOME ONE CAN COME BY TWO HOURS AFTER YOU LEAVE IT JUST SHOWS HOW HONEST YOU ARE NOT. Star City Pest Control does offer free Bed Bug Inspections. This particular situation had extenuating legal circumstances that required an inspection fee. The statement of a renter moving out of her house was never discussed. She stated that she was in a custody battle and that a family member had told authorities that she had bed bugs. She said that she had the house treated and that it was free of bed bugs. She requested an inspection for those proceedings and a statement that the house was free of bed bugs. With that liability in mind, we assessed an inspection fee of $150 would apply. Her statement says she is 80 years old and on disability. The lady that called spoke of having small children. Our CSR told her that if she could make a call to the company that treated the home for bed bugs, they could provide a free inspection and a statement that the house was clear. She stated that she treated the home herself with Crossfire and then stated that ‘I know I don't have them’. At the end of the phone call she stated ‘fine, f*** it’ and hung up the phone.

Called about a baby rat snake that had come into my house. The guy showed up, told me what I already knew that it was a baby rat snake, offered to sell me a monthly service to monitor the situation for $54.00 a month. He then charged me $99.00 for coming out to do nothing but tell me what I knew beforehand and try to sell me a service. It was overpriced for absolutely nothing more than a brief glance and conversation.
