Despite the great reviews we would NOT recommend. We used lawn doctor for the first time this fall. They had come highly recommended and had great reviews. We opted to pay a premium for their services as we expected quality results. We prepaid for power-seeding and fertilizer treatments. The topsoil application and power-seeding went well and we didn’t have any issues until our fertilizer treatments began. I’ve had to reach out to the company after every fertilizer application. We have encountered a number of issues. They have charged us for a whole treatment and only done half the yard. They’ve charged us for coming to apply a treatment and not show up AT ALL. We have verified this on cameras as I found it odd that I would not see them in my yard. When I’ve contacted them about these issues, they have not apologized. They did offer a repeat service but when they came out to apply it, they just charged us for a new treatment! I have to micromanage every interaction and am met with deception and no accountability. No company is perfect and I’ve tried to approach each problem trying to find a solution that allows us to keep working with them, but I’ve been very disappointed at the lack of apology, explanations, or improvement in service quality. If they claim to service your lawn, you should verify they have in fact completed the service.

Made multiple attempts to obtain an estimate, and was contacted only once and no follow up thereafter to provide an actual quote. Sent multiple emails to their customer service, Kim and service manager, Patrick.

i have tried several lawn care companies over the many years, and of all of them, only one for me stands out above all the rest......Lawn Doctor!!! from the equipment they use (the company manufactures their own) to the service they extend and the professionalism extended by their techs. super!!!!

After trying several other well known national companies, I have found that Lawn Dr. has a much better offering and service. They seem to know exactly how much fertilizer to put down without causing burning. Have been with Lawn Dr. for many years and have no plans to change.

Dependable application of lawn care annually with attention to the needs of lawn such as weed control. The service help me maintain a good lawn condition, I am satisfied and have the service over two decades. Each service summary report provides valuable feedback on lawn condition. Recently added incoming service notification helps customer schedule proper time to cut grass before fertilizer application.

These folks have done a great job with my lawn. It has rejenuvated quickly and is now lush green.

After many years of DIY, results from Lawn Doctor were much better than I ever did. Great family operated business - cares about providing quality service.

We’ve been with the “Lawn Doctor” for five years. They do a great job on the lawn care: fertilization, weed & crabgrass control, treatment for surface feeding insects, pawer seeding. They always do a great job! We are highly recommend them.

We have used Lawn Doctor of Fairfax North & South for many years. Their service and staff has been excellent, even rescheduling dates if necessary. We would still be with them except for the fact we moved out of the area.

Good services over the years, but you have to be aware when they come to do the annual seedlings in the fall: They are not mindful of people with large yard for holiday decorations, they do seedlings on their schedule, period. So you could end up putting up blow-ups and have to take them all down just so they can do the seedlings, on their schedule.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this company. I spent several hundreds of dollars last Spring -Fall for many weed treatment on my front lawn. This Spring the first thing that came up were weeds, and lots of them. I called Lawn Doctor's 4 times over the last two weeks and have yet to receive a return call. What a waste of money.

Lawn Doctor is a good quality lawn care company. They come and go so fast, I hardly ever see them, but the results are very good. My lawn was green and lush all year. They are responsive too. If you ask about something, they will come out. I like the fact that they are not one of the "big boys". These huge companies make their money on volume business and you are just a number to them. No lawn care is cheap these days, but relatively speaking, Lawn Doctor is perhaps a little more reasonable.

Will auto renew your service even when it was prepaid. They just showed up with no notice, did a service I didn't ask for and then charged me. Despite my efforts to have the charges cancelled and assurances that they would be they harassed me for over a year to get payment. There are better services out there that won't try to cheat you out of money.

Good service, reasonably priced.

Last time someone came the notes were as follows: cut trees down if you want, same problem around mailbox as last year, seed if u want..Dont call..hows that customer service? We were told he was having a bad day!

It’s unfortunate but we have not had similar results as other reviewers on our lawn. And attempts to discuss it with them are unsuccessful. Have tried emailing and also left voicemail and have not received any return communication.
