Dynamite Pest Control has many positive reviews, which is why I chose them for a mouse issue at my 92-year-old mother’s home. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect that reputation. The technician identified an entry hole but spent only seconds at the area before ending the visit and billing $250. I did not observe meaningful bait placement or sealing of entry points. At the two-week follow-up, he only checked the kitchen bait and added nothing further. I expected more care and thoroughness, especially given the situation. Overall, the service felt rushed and disappointing.

Thank you for your experience that you did not experience! Your 92 year old mother was a very nice lady and based on the deplorable conditions of your mother’s home that needs major repairs with alley cats all over the porch and inside of the house that you are not aware of because you live in another state and per your cousin you neglect your mom and expect her to do everything. Listen we did the best we could based on the circumstance and your cousin that is the hired home health aid begged the technician to borrow $50.00 for a week due to you not paying her and she was broke. Also, she scheduled an appointment with our company and didn’t pay the same day you posted this review. This is definitely a learning lesson to stay away from folks in your situation. If I could put half a star I would. Rich, the service technician (and owner's son) arrived on time, and that's about the only thing that went right. He was abrupt with me when I met him at my front door and while he was on his cell phone with his child and said to me, "Wait a minute," then continued his discussion with this child. There was no, "Hello sir, excuse me for a minute while I finish this call, thank you." It was as if I were knocking on his door and interrupting him during an important call. Then, and quite shockingly, then next words out of his mouth when he steps inside my house are "My wife just left me." As if I needed to hear about his personal life at the moment. Trying to be empathetic, I offered my condolences and then he goes on to say, without hesitation, "Oh, it's ok, she was doing all kinds of drugs anyway...." My jaw just about hit the floor. He then proceeded to find something on his cell phone to show me pertaining to his marital issues -- again, as if that's why I asked him over to my house. As he took notice of my annoyance, his demeanor with me changed and he demonstrated a hostile attitude towards me when I was asking him questions about my rodent issue. Finally, when we were in the basement and he identified an access hole where he believed the mouse or mice were entering into the walls of my house, he went towards the hole and within three seconds turned heel and began to walk out stating he would be writing up my invoice. Incredulously I looked at him and then at the access hole and wondered how he could have laid down poison that quickly and thoroughly. And for the grand total of $378 I felt there should have been a greater level of coverage around my house and in the basement. You've been warned....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! Rich came in and rushed through the service, damaged my furniture, and pretended to spray my basement for rodents. He claimed he inspected for entry ways. No traps where laid on the inside nor did he add any pepper spray on the outside. Proceeded to charge me $486. He ripped me off.

The real person's name writing this review is Priscilla Khawam. She is a realtor in NJ who is our neighbor in NJ 600 South White Horse Pike Audubon, NJ the building sign says Working Collective that we serviced 6/25/2025 12:00pm for an emergency service where the longest active technician of over 30 years chief technician Rich removed a rat from inside of the couch in which she flipped over and made the rat come out herself and he killed it inside of the office. The couch was a CHEAP Wayfair edition that was in a sectional that she took apart herself. Once the rat was removed and killed he placed bait in the attic and basement to prevent any further infestation and sealed up a hole in basement area around the dryer vent where the rats were getting in. Priscilla's building has office space and even solicited to having our company join her location and leave our location for cheaper rent in exchange for free services-non ethnical-no thanks and our company was not interested. Not sure why today 10/9/2025 12:00pm on the 5 month anniversary of receiving exceptional service from a 56 year family business that services the family of a NFL Super Bowl MVP in the area as well as Eagles, Sixers, and other notable people that she would feel the need to write this instead of her positive experience that fixed her issue. I guess that would explain why she writes false reviews for her tenants in order for them to make sure they pay her rent and want to harass our company for not wanting to be one of her tenants. Once we google searched this fake name she is posting under it went back to her real name and her address to her real estate office and our office manager reviewed her file to see if we in fact missed an opportunity and we interviewed Rich the 30 year veteran technician to respond to these false allegations after she paid her $486.00 without an issue or complaint. In closing with her being a realtor in NJ we were hoping to obtain more quality clients like herself as she was back in June in the middle of a heatwave when rats are usually outside running around not inside of her office couch where she was scared to work. I would suggest you call another Pest Control Company. While they were available immediately for a same day visit to my home (that should have been a warning) they technician MISDIAGNOSED my situation as a bed bug issue (later refuted by two other companies) and only inspected one room of my home (not the other bedrooms as requested. They charged over $130 for a 5 minute visit and when I asked for a refund after the misdiagnosis I was refused. Use other professionals - there are plenty out there in Philly!

What a LIAR! This lovely customer Erin who's young college student son returned home from London England after a month in a foreign exchange student program brought home bed bugs. Erin showed the current active longest master licensed technician for over 30 years who is also the owner's son 10 beg bugs that she collected on her own from off his mattress. The entire house was inspected and the issue that she is having is the FREE estimate she was quoted to remediate her mansion size house located 35X Pelham Rd in beautiful Mount Airy section of Philadelphia is not in her budget and clearly a financial burden or else she would got her bed bug issues FIXED. Her home was PROFESSIONALLY inspected 8/23/2025 10:30am for over an hour in which she was very satisfied and the company even offered our professional do it yourself bed bug kit which is only $100.00 and the SAME exact products that the technician uses that would have saved her over $1,000.00 versus treatment due to she could not afford to have her home treated. We totally understand the the economy is TOUGH & calling our office SEVERAL times on the day after Labor Day 9/2/2025 first thing in the morning two weeks later after a service you requested was performed trying to get a refund is RIDICULOUS! Paid $248 to have the tech drop one block of poison and shove some steel wool in one hole. Wasn’t aware there was only a 30 day guarantee because the woman at the office lead me to believe that you could call back anytime after 2 weeks (as long as it was within a reasonable amount of time) to get the tech back out there. Called back after 35 days bc we saw a significant increase in mice droppings, and was told we’d still have to pay to get the tech back out there. Asked for a call back from the owner but never received one.

Just got off the phone with Mr. DiRusso who was HIGHLY UPSET dropping the F-word bombs & cursing like a sailor who just got off a Navy ship fresh out of basic training. Tried my best to make it RIGHT after not receiving his messages due to our office being VERY busy and major miscommunication on our part-it slipped through the cracks and 1,000 apologies! This customer was informed about the 30 day industry standard policy when he initially called inquiring about the service, informed again when he booked the service, informed again by the technician during the service, and again when he called back 60 days later. I advised him that we could send a technician back out FREE of charge to make up for the inconvenience and assist in satisfying him and making his blood pressure go down being that he woke up Saturday morning 9:45am and wrote this despicable review without even brushing his teeth! He said NO THANKS! Already signed a yearly contract with another major national chain. The unfortunate part is we do a lot of houses on his block 5900 Jannette St including his next door neighbor 2 doors down on the corner who doesn’t have an issue paying $243.00 per visit after the 30 day guarantee and usually 60-90 days later without a contract or complaining and all of their tenants contributed to our 5 star reviews on here. May God bless you and your family and we informed him that when his contract is up with the next pest control company that we would welcome his business back in the future. Our company did a GREAT job on his home based he was doing his own pest control for YEARS due to the fact he felt he didn't have to spend the money and already had in his mind that pest control exterminator companies did not work. The one hole and block of poison that he is referring to is the one in his finished basement that he could not find and get to based on his lack of knowledge and inexperience with pest control exterminator resolutions and that was the only area he would allow the technician to work and he also lives in a row home where the temperature just dropped due to the fall and they go house to house. Our initial first visit was a SUCCESS along with our 30 day industry guarantee. He is just UPSET that we would not come back out for FREE! His home was serviced 7/13/2024 & today is 9/14/2024 No problem in July or August and now he's the only one complaining in September going into October. I have never written a negative review on here before, but received terrible service and even worse customer service from Dynamite Pest Control. I called them because I had carpenter ants in a porch column. Rich came and spent maybe 2 minutes spraying into the top of the porch column and charged me $200. The next week I noticed there were tons of ants coming out of the bottom of the same column. On the receipt he said he had inspected the premises, killed the nest, and gave a 30 day guarantee. So, I called to let him know and he told me I had only asked him to treat the top of the column, and the bottom of the column would be a separate service. I disagreed, since it was the same porch column and asked for them to honor the guarantee and treat the entire column or give me a refund. He began to argue and went off yelling at me saying he had given me a discount (he did say he charged me slightly less because he thought the problem was more advanced) and he didn't need my money that he hadn't inspected thoroughly, that I should have said the bottom of the column until I actually hung up. He called back and said he wasn't yelling but was at a noisy worksite (he was yelling at me, I know the difference). He wrapped it up my saying he would pray for me in a condescending way and that he would come out for an additional $50. At that point, I really did not want anything to do with this person. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Also you ordered an inspection service for $135.00 and then proceeded with a small area treatment which we gave you a discount from our normal $243.00 charge since you are in West Philly on the corner of 60th & Catharine across from the beer store. Thank you for your financial contribution to our 55th year of success and you forgot to mention that we fixed the area that you paid for. Your issue became bigger a week later in a totally different area and Rich offered to come back to your home for only $50.00 because you are only up the street from our main office. This business took my money and never showed up DONT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH COMPANY they can not be trusted.I just read what this company said about me and it’s all LIES. I call to make an appointment but 5 minutes late I call to cancel. They never arrived too my house.how much gas do you use from around the corner. Which they never was because they told me that they would be out the next day when I first made the appointment. ALL LIES. I was never informed of the cancellation fee if I was I would have not gave you my credit card information you sent me the cancellation policy yesterday.You saying that I used foul language like I stepped off a navy ship is a lie and you know it. I’m a 72 year old lady on a fixed income and you rob me of my money. This customer called our office for a same day appointment. The technician was dispatched to their home and once arrived they canceled after paying for the service. We charge a $50.00 cancellation fee due to the price of gas and a technician going to the home. Let me start by saying the respond to reviews are disgusting by the owner. 53 years of taking ppl money. Please don’t do business with them ,in the reviews they make up lies to make there self sound good like the customer homes is the problem. But in reality they’ve been stealing ppl money for the past 53 years . If you don’t know what your doing just say that . Did business with these ppl just to get cursed out for making a bad review . And I will not stop making bad reviews to you guys cause you the owner is unprofessional. Saying in reviews that there house is falling apart but when you came to the house they said nothing like that. For one my house isn’t falling apart at all . Please do not waste your money! Technician came out and was in and out in 15 mins. He did not even go in every room of my house. He only went to the areas where I told him I saw mice. After spending $250 I still had mice and had to pay another company to do the job correctly. The new company went through every inch of my home without me having to direct him and even checked the outside for possible entrances and sealed them up. This company is a complete rip off. Unless you want to just throw money away, please do not use them!

If I could give this business a fraction of a star, I would. One week prior to my extermination appointment, I've been noticing mice droppings in my kitchen. I did my research and Dynamite Pest control was the best on pricing and is in my area. On July 29th, the technician Rich, who is also the owner came out inspected the property and serviced accordingly. He spent nearly 2 hrs here (i'm not sure why it took so long) but after the service he assured me that my issue had been rectified. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I still saw the same amount of mice droppings as I did prior to him servicing the place. Because there is a 30 day guarantee, I called to have him come and reinspect the property. When he came back on August 10th, he informed me that he was doing me a "favor" by coming out although I was still within my 30 day guarantee period. He proceeded to seal a hole that he missed during the first visit and put more poison down. He also bad mouthed other clients to me, one being my next door neighbor, and told me way to much about his personal life. It felt weird because of the unprofessionalism that it displayed but at that point, I just wanted the issue resolved. He reassured me that I wouldn't see mice any longer and the issue had been resolved. After the second visit, I STILL saw mice droppings in the kitchen. I put my OWN poison down and found two dead mice a couple of days after that. I thought I was in the clear until I got back to the country and saw mice droppings in the kitchen on Sunday, August 27th. I called them back to let them know I was still having an issue and to schedule another service call before the 30 day guarantee ended. My appointment was today and I am thoroughly upset that I ever employed this company to begin with. Not only did he have a weird passive/aggressive attitude telling me that "everything doesn't work for everybody" but he tried to play the RACE card which I didn't appreciate WHATSOEVER being a black business owner myself. This service was too expensive to be talked down too and still have the same issues that I had prior to him ever coming out. I never experienced unprofessionalism in this degree where NOTHING WAS RESOLVED. This will be my last time patronizing this business!!! Lastly, the price is better than other companies that I've found, but I would recommend spending the extra money to ensure professional and effective service.

Definitely appreciate the opportunity and will utilize this as a reminder that unfortunately after servicing our community for over 48 years in which we also live and donate a lot of money for and provide programs and giving our neighbors EXCEPTIONAL service & DISCOUNT pricing not to mention EXTENDED warranty and after hour & before hour services in which you would not normally do for customers that aren't your neighbors they still aren't appreciative and will blast you out on the internet and threaten you with calling their credit card company after you have serviced them SEVERAL times past what was originally discussed and compensated for without charging due to the fact they are your neighbor and you see them everyday.
