Pete's Pest Control

Edited the original review but in summary I was charged an inspection fee when they sent a technician for a service they do not provide (I felt I gave enough information over the phone for them to make that determination beforehand). The company reached out in response to my review and refunded the inspection fee. I respect the fact they were able to be flexible.

I called to get a quote on a Monday morning. Rhonda was extremely helpful. After I received a quote and tons of helpful information I said I would speak with my husband and call back. She explained if we would like to go forward with the service I could simply go online and click the “contact us” tab and fill in the information. They would have a technician call me to schedule. After speaking with my husband we decided to request the service. Within one hour of submitting the request Pete called to schedule. He set us up for Thursday of the same week. He estimated arrival between 1-2pm and arrived at 12:45. We are so pleased with the customer service and all around service!

Pete and Ronda were very responsive, professional and a wealth of knowledge. They provided information straight up, gave me options to address my problems and did not try to upsell or push unnecessary services. This is a company I am happy to support and recommend to my friends and neighbors.

The crew at Pete’s is like none other. I found them via a recommendation from a friend and have never called anyone else. They’ve gotten rid of ants, spiders, and calmed me down when I saw rat droppings in my basement. When we had wasps but couldn’t find a nest, they said if they couldn’t find it they wouldn’t charge us, and when I had an infestation of bugs they don’t treat for, they told me how to best take care of it myself. They’re seriously the best people. Rhonda is a gem to talk to on the phone too. She makes my day and helps every single time. And every one of the technicians that have come out over the years have been so professional, thoughtful, thorough, and kind. You wouldn’t think a pest control company would be an utter delight, but this one is.

All of the workers I interacted with were very kind, knowledgeable, and patient. They took the time to answer all of my questions, and I could not have asked for a better experience. Highly, highly recommend!

Pete's rocks! For me, trust is the most important thing in dealing with any company, and Pete's get a gold star for trust. We used Pete's years ago after buying our house and they followed up on the previous owner's termite issues in the garage. And today, they came out to us because I was worried about voles/rats. David was super friendly, super knowledgeable, and super honest about what was going on. David also saved us a lot of money, steering us away from an expensive subscription service from a super large company. I would never hesitate to call Pete's again. I have used Pete's for years, at different homes for different reasons and I have been more than satisfied every single time we call them. Not only are they very responsive, friendly, one time.... the service itself WORKS. Highly recommended!

They treated my place for ants.... super prompt and explained everything clearly. I would definitely use Pete's again!

We were having an issue with mice getting into our garage. We then also saw a rat run through our backyard, unfortunately. Eric from Pete’s came out and was very helpful! He identified the way that they were getting in, which led us to get a new garage door weather strip. No mice since! He also placed a rodent station in our yard and we have not seen any activity since. We are very satisfied!

Treated my house for bedbugs. Pete was extremely patient and thorough in answering all my questions during this very stressful ordeal. I was so impressed w Pete that a few years later ended up working for him!

Ants returned in about three weeks. So I called to have them come out and respray our kitchen, they did at no additional cost but a week after the second visit the ants returned again. I'll go with a different company next time. But they were friendly and on time

I highly recommend their service. They were easy to schedule, arrived on time and were very thorough.

**NO CALL NO SHOW** I am really frustrated. I have a massive wasp nest on the side of my home (I am extremely allergic to them so I genuinely need help getting rid of this thing). I called and left multiple messages last week to request service. I finally got a call back from Rhonda last Thursday (7/2). She told me she would get a service tech out to my home today (7/7) (I scheduled time off work to be home today to accommodate the service). She said she couldn’t just make the appointment on the the phone and told me I would need to fill out an online request for service which I did. Not only did I get no correspondence via email to confirm the appointment but there has been no service tech at my home and when I called this afternoon to inquire about the service my call went to voicemail again and I haven’t heard back from them. This is after I paid them $350 for a carpenter ant treatment last month. I have tried to give Pete’s my business because they are a local Portland company but I feel like they have given me the brush off and I feel genuinely frustrated. I still have a massive wasp nest attached to my home and my health and well being is compromised until it is removed. I am really disappointed to have to leave this kind of a review but I’m not sure what other recourse I have inasmuch as my phone calls are not being answered or returned......

I used Pete's for Carpenter ants last year (the ants have never came back), and most recently for mice. Both times they were knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. Tyler went above and beyond my expectations and I am so pleased with the service I have received both times. I highly recommend Pete's.
