We have the HPP program. When we called for help controlling carpenter bees, we were scheduled for a tech visit within in 2 days. Jackie took care of the bees but didn’t stop there. She walked around the house perimeter and found ant activity and treated that too! Western reps are always knowledgeable and friendly.

They came by my apartment about a month or two ago saying that they sprayed my apartment but I did not smell anything or see anything come out of the hose that they used. I have seen the same pest that they were supposed to get rid of and now they have come back bigger. So obviously it was not handled. Now I have to call another company to come fix the job.

Absolutely pathetic! I made an appointment for between 12 and four. They never showed never called.! When I called them? They said that my appointment was the following day. ( which it was not because I told him it was my only day off.) so I scheduled for the following week to be there first appointment in the morning and they said absolutely no problem. Sorry for the confusion.! That day comes and nobody shows and their response was, they were going by the old notes which was for late in the afternoon and I was very specific how I needed it early in the morning first person. I asked to speak to the owner or have him call me. Nothing.! What an absolute disgraceful way to run a business.
Call and schedule appointment gave detailed list of issues. On appointment day technician missed appointment window. Causing me to call and ask about where about. I was advised that tech would be at my house by 2. Around 3:30 still no contact from tech. Called in again advise tech came to my house knocked and left even though someone was home the entire day. Tech shows up around 4 spend 10 minutes in my home baits one area(kitchen) and didn’t even go upstairs to address my main concerns. Didn’t spray just left some traps in my kitchen and leaves again not address what I paid $300 and signed up for the recurring service for. Also the tech never called and advised they were on the way. Poor communication and didn’t address my main concern. Advised if we want him to spray we need to make an additional appointment.

We have had a carpenter ant contract for many years, and never had an issue. However, today, when I called for service to spray the perimeter of my house, they refused my request because I had not actually seen a carpenter ant. Since I pay $267.30 annually, I do not think it is unreasonable to have someone come out at least once a year as a preventative measure. We will not be renewing our contract next year.
Called to book an appointment today and they said they could send a technician out this afternoon. They took my credit card info over the phone and said they would send a contract. Never did. I called to try and see where they are / confirm our appt and the ‘after hours’ customer service representative was less than helpful. Could not confirm or deny we have an appointment, states it’s not ‘his department’ so he doesn’t know. Asked him if it’s standard procedure to take CC info and then not send a contract and he again states ‘it’s not his department’ so he can’t answer. So now we have wasted the rest of the day letting bees continue to build a nest since we were lied to about having an appt and no one has contacted us.

This company traps and encloses live birds/live animals within buildings to die. They have zero care for wildlife. They do not care to remove anything prior to “completing” their job. It’s disgusting and inhumane to let animals die because of this company’s negligence. Edit: The branch manager was contacted and they essentially said they won't do anything unless they hear back from property management. Instead of doing the right thing, they fell complicit and never showed up to remove the encasements. The trapped birds are dead.

(1) Incorrect application of tick granules, ignoring directions per the product which requires watering in, making the yard dangerous for children and pets (2) our tech always comes outside of the stated window, applies treatment without speaking to us. When contacting the company about coming within the scheduled time the rep lied to my wife and told her I gave the okay. If treatment isn’t applied by the book and reps and techs are lying I can’t trust this company any longer.

We recently switched to Western I must say out of every company (3) we have used over the past 11 years this may be the worst. They don't hear customer concerns as something to value. To a certain extent I understand they are the "professionals" but there are certain things a home owner does understand. Another concern I had was the disregard of family pets. When spraying the bedroom. They soaked my dogs bed with the spray he is a very itchy boy now 😥. lastly on a routine service if you are removing a sticky trap in an "high traffic" area wouldn't you put a new one down 🤔 or check if there is bait in the boxes maybe replace it if there's not? Going to call their customer service and I will update if next visit is better or worse. 7/2/2024 update... Nothing has gotten better, 2 visits now the tech hasn't supplied service yet asked for a rating, like he did. Today was my fault as I forgot to reschedule, but summer they're only supposed to do outside. So he sprayed literally a one foot square on my front porch and left didn't do near the trash cans or recycling bins. My porch is 10x6 it, wouldn't even have taken that much longer. The first service he said he supplied but didn't was because my wife took too long to put the dog up so he just left... At this point don't know why I'm giving another chance but I'm hoping they fulfill my request of a new technician.
Western called the day before the appointment to confirm which is great. However, on the day of the appointment, they were supposed to be at my residence between 10am and 12pm. They did not show up until 2:30pm. No phone call or other communication to say they were running behind schedule. When the tech arrived, the tech stated that he normally handles commercial accounts and that he was helping out on the residential. No excuse was provided as to why he was late; but he did confirm my time.
It cost more than $700 in the first year . It is very active to collect money and sign the contract, but there are more and more ants in the house! when signing the contract. I have already told him that I have this little black bug in my house. Now I contact him, he said the contract is not covered!
