First of all, Delmarva Pest Control was able to get me an appointment very quickly. I was up against a deadline. The technician called to let me know he was there and that he couldn’t find the key to get into the detached garage. Understanding how important it was to me to have the garage inspected, he very patiently waited for the realtor to drive there to provide him the key. I received the report immediately and on time. We are assuming with the rain we have had and the warmer weather that special attention is paid to ants. We have already seeing them . Are we correct that ants are are especially addressed and the entire perimeter of the house was acted upon . Always a good thorough job

These guys were ok initially exterminator then increased price call them for carpenter ants on deck never sprayed regularly and made a 600 dollar repair from carpenter ant damages terrible service found someone else and better quality and price great combination

Derrick was very friendly and helpful he asked me if I wanted him to spray around my unit I told him no thank you but never told him why. I lived in Miami, Florida and the bug spray had a horrible smell houses would also get tented and noboby was allow inside for a week

Steve was very thorough and very knowledgeable. A pleasant, very nice gentleman and professional. I still have bait in traps which is an indication that I don't have them in the house or outside. So I would like to change the scheduling to quarterly, if I may. Right now I have to buy a roof and I need all the hundreds I can get my hands on right now. So for now I like to change to quarterly to see how that works for me. Thank you very much.

Was happy to find them! On time,did the job and another.It is expensive these days to have anyone come out but they actually were cheaper for both jobs than Liam's was for one last time,and Liam's job didn't even last! The old bird cage over the dryer vent had fallen off before and I had a really hard time finding anybody to come take care of it. I called my repair service that usually fixes my washer and dryer but he doesn't do the vents,I guess doesn't do the ladders!He recommended someone who didn't even call me back,I think like a chimney sweep person or another repair company,but I definitely also tried a chimney sweep and didn't hear back. Then another company I waited for the appointment and they came out but their ladder wasn't long enough.They said had they had their regular truck they would have been able to do it,had the longer ladder on their regular truck,but their truck was in the shop and they're no longer allowed to use the longer Ladders because of accidents and insurance. By the time I got Liam's to come out I already had birds in there, so they did have a bunch of dead birds to deal with and then we had constant flies to deal with for over a month till we figured out they were coming from all the junk on the floor behind the washer and dryer!! The Birdcage Liam's installed didn't last long .It came down and I was worried about birds coming in again! I had to get a new roof and part of the deal was while the roofers were up there they would install a new bird cage ,which they did in the fall .That also came down with the strong recent winds and crumbled as it crashed!! Then we had the two snow storms and that first one lasted so long so for the last 2 days I had heard Birds.I didn't know if they got in they would get stuck a die. I thought I could scare them out,but there were two dead birds in there! The other job that I had Del Mar pest do was that as we inspected the other vents the one from the microwave, the screen had come loose. I had recently paid someone to put up a screen and they couldn't secure it other than to duct tape it.In all honesty it did last for years but this screen looks much nicer,stronger and is screwed maybe not keep as many bugs out but a much nicer,professional appearance! The Builder had had nothing over the microwave vent !! I was glad they could take care of that while they were here! I do not need the birds in there again,it was disgusting! They packed a nest in there and we couldn't use our fan and stuff started falling on our stove!! I highly recommend Del Mar pest!! I called yesterday,scheduled me for an 11 to 2 window today.They came,I guess Eric,very nice young man. He took care of the job I called about and the other one ,and like I said,it was expensive,yet it was cheaper for these two jobs then Liam's doing the one a out 2 years ago!! I won't hesitate to use Del Mar pest again if needed.The whole process was very easy with them!

They did absolutely nothing for the mice in my house except invite more in! I live in a condo townhome connected to other townhomes and apartments. Every couple years I see a mouse or two. They came and out bait that attracted mice from everywhere! They died in my house in my vents (room smelled horrible) had to get that cleaned. I asked them to come back out to remove the bait and put regular traps down. He came without any traps, and haven’t heard from them. I’ve never had this many mice in my home after laying to get them out! They didn’t even attempt to see how they were getting in the home. No real diagnosis. Just bait and well sorry about the dead mice and smell. Service cancelled and I want a refund. I just spent all evening, dealing holes and spraying my home.

Updated to add I stayed with Delmar thru the end of 2025. After leaving my initial review, I noticed that techs would no show my appointments, or show up and only leave traps, not do their full inspection and treatment. I used this service for 18 months and never saw a change in activity. I’ve now been with Orkin for a month and have seen noticeable decline in activity. Additionally, their workers are much more professional than Delmar. Highly recommend making the switch if you’re not happy with your Delmar experience. Been working with the company for a year now for mice in my row home. Most of the workers are very nonchalant when treating my house and don’t really listen to me when I tell them my concerns. Eric is the only one that really has heard me out and began to break down how he can treat the problem. Recently, I called asking for him to come back out, and was told I needed to wait until my regular bimonthly service which was about 2 weeks out. I specifically requested it be Eric. It wasn’t Eric. It was another “senior” tech who only treated one corner after I stated the mice are in every room. I called again today requesting they come out again because the problem continues to get worse. I was hung up on by Shane. I had to call back and the next rep was much better but I’m not happy that I’ve been paying this place for a year and feel like my health is at risk because they don’t take my concerns seriously. For $100 every other month I expect for pest control to actually be effective and responsive.

The first time they came they were good. A technician came out today no phone call no appointment. He comes up to my house and asks to open the gate. I told him no, and asked what was he here for. He said service. I told him no one said anything to me about service. I called Del Mar and asked what was the service for? I was told for a follow up from the hornet nest. They sent another technician that was not communicative what he did I don't know because he left and never said what he did. I thought this was a better company than this because my first experience with them was not like this at all. I should have investigated this company more before I used them.

Initially, the service was great! I canceled my contract today, due to misleading information. They will not come out everytime you call if it’s not within 14 days. They should tell their customers that. If you have a shed near your house they will not put anything near the shed. Manager was very rude and refused to send someone out after I spotted mice. They never checked the areas where I saw one nor did they check for droppings. The guy didn’t even have a flash light. We offered him ours. Never again!! In response to the owner comment. Our house is not cluttered. I was given an approximate time of arrival 8am-10am not a set time. I was in the area and asked for someone to give me call when they were close. The service guy ironically was in the Walmart parking lot at the same location I was, so explain how they waited. We arrived to my house at the same time, he didn’t seem to have a problem with that. The service guy never even went upstairs to check for anything. Again, he didn’t even have a flashlight. He only serviced the outside and downstairs. He never went upstairs to check where I spotted the mouse and droppings to see if there was a hole etc. The guy that was sent out for the ants went all over the house “Steve”, which is why I referred him to a relative. He mentioned putting a bait box near the shed. Otherwise why would I mention that? I’m no liar. The manager was rude like I stated and talked at me, instead of providing information that may help with our situation. He was rude unprofessional and wanted to argue instead of providing a solution. To stay someone house is “cluttered “without going all over the house is another rude statement and shows unprofessionalism. The service guy was more interested in getting to his next customer then completing the job. Bottom line is it clearly needs to be stated that at the time of sign-on that you will not come out when a person calls. You have to wait “14 days to be serviced” after they put the bait stations around your house. The manager did not offer me a refund customer service did. He was more interested in proving a point, instead of hearing my concerns. Never did I yell at the manager, I made it clear that I wasn’t going back and forth with him and asked to be connected to customer service to cancel my contact because of the lack of professionalism with the manager. “ please get your story correct”. I was offered a refund by customer service not the manager after I requested to have my contract canceled. I asked to speak with the owner and no one called me back. Funny that the owner will comment here before calling me back to hear my side of the story. I cancelled the contract due to this reason here “ lack of professionalism, lack of customer service and breaching confidentiality by making untrue comments about someone home without going all over the house. They rather argue then hear your concerns. Then he sent the same guy to our house to pick up the equipment without letting us know they will be out to pick up the equipment. The guy said he told his boss I was rude to him because I was telling him where I saw the mice/droppings. Sounds like this company needs to communicate better with their staff. Poor guy thought his manager told us he was coming out. Another red flag to show up to someone house unannounced. Funny manager said no one wanted to service our home after I called complaining. I I cancelled my contract, they didn’t cancel me. If I’m paying a monthly payment I would hope the service will be provided the correct way. In reading other reviews from other customers my statement remains true. The exterminators does not service/ treat the entire home. They are very nonchalant when providing the service. I found another exterminator company after this experience that came and treated our home. Since then, I have never seen mice or ant. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Never again!! Horrible experience overall and over priced!!

1st let me say our goal is to keep our Customers Happy. With that be said you started serv in June 2022 for Ant & other bugs when time came for you regular Quartly serv you in Sept you canceled twice. On 11/5 you called our office at 5am, 6am, 730am. Our office Rep called you at 8am to discuss your issue, which you indicated you saw a mouse an appointment was scheduled for you that day btw 830-10am. Our tech arrived at 855am & .no one was home he waited 45min for you to arrive & then spent 50min at your at one point "asking you to please let him do his job" is which he placed exterior & interior station around the property at which point he told you Give 10-14days to get rid of the problem & that it would help greatly if you decluttered your house. You proceeded to call on 11/7 to say you wanted your shed baited also. I listened to the conversation the MGR. had with you to let you know you already had exterior stations -2 around your home which is more than enough for a residential property, normally only 1 is put out, and give it time for the Rodents to feed on it. You then proceeded to say "when you call we have to come as many times as you want" again my MGR told you Give it time to work, at which time you began to yell that you were told no many what someone would come out. He again explained we give all our Customers emergency service when needed, and that you had more than enough Stations around your home, and obviously there's a reason for this. Our goal is to get rid of the Rodents around your home, not attract more. After speaking to the Techs that were at your home(neither of them wanted to service you again) we made the decision to refund your money Back.<br><br><br>
I am upset that i was asked to pay prior to service being completed. The technician came out on 4/12/25 to give us a quote and could not complete any treatments due to the weather and said that we would not be charged until he came back on 4/18/25 when the actual services would be completed.

I would not recommend this company for their mouse service. It’s probably more effective, more efficient, and faster to get the issue resolved if you set up traps and seal up holes yourself. It’s not worth $149.99 to sign up for their mouse service $499.99 to have their seal up holes. Whatever they do to set up traps and seal up holes, you can do it yourself and probably do it better and faster, without the wait.
Delmar pest control diagnosed my house wrong with termites, they were earwigs. Wrote out an estimate to treat my property for thousands of dollars. Paid 99.99 for inspection to be lied to. Then months later receive a bill for the same inspection! Called and emailed carbon copy and bank statement stating check was cashed. Not only this but in 2022 had an inspection for bats same 99.99 for inspection to be written out an estimate for thousands of dollars. Refused service and went somewhere else. One year later looking at my bank statements they charge for 99.99 for a warranty charge on the work they never did! So needless to say they robbed me only for me to catch it! Also to be billed after they cashed my check for the same bill! People watch out for this company they are thieves! Billing department is horrible! Update rude manager Mike after a week finally calls me and says this was not theft just wrong doing and that they credited me back after calling them out on it. Then called me a second time very rudely telling me he will respond to my google review and say situation resolved. Everyone should check their bank accounts and make sure no extra charges from them.
I made an appointment and was supposed to be notified 30 minutes in advance of the technician’s arrival. They had a 3 hour window. I got a call from the office near the end of the window advising me that the technician was in an accident and was waiting for the police to arrive. We agreed on 2pm the next day. I asked if we could eliminate the 3 hour window since I just sat through one and was assured that the technician would arrive promptly at 2pm. That did not happen so I called at 2:15 and was advised he would be there in 20 minutes. After that I got another call and was told the original technician could not make it so they would send someone else. Eventually a technician did arrive and took care of the inspection. If I did not place the call at 2:15 there is no telling if or when they would have ever showed up.
