We have been using Lind for many years. We have been especially impressed with the same day services we received for wasp and ground bee extermination (We have severe allergies.). We get quarterly service for ants and other creepy crawlies. Staff are professional and prompt. They are respectful of property and show concern for our pets. Also, we live near their office and we have found them to be great neighbors. (No speeding or excessive noise and always a pleasant wave.)

I have been paying lind for years and for the most part they have done a decent job. They spray quarterly for bugs and pests. They are always kind and respectful and friendly. They did a nice job filling some holes in my crawlspace. But recently there has been a squirrel in my attic. Their response has been lacking at best. They have set traps three times over the course of several months and have just told us to 'wait it out'. I have asked about how they are getting in there and what else we can do and they always say they will 'check and see, but that it is a waiting game'... Well, now there is more than one squirrel up there and I am at wits end. I went ahead and looked and found the point of entry (even though I pay Lind to do this) and I will figure out how to get it repaired. At no point did they tell me that I should try to track the point of entry, at no point did they call or check on the traps, nor did they tell me how to determine if the traps has been triggered and what to do if they had. The communication on this has been bad. The education on this has been worse. The sense of urgency has been non existent. Disappointing. If you want your house sprayed for pests, they are fine. If you want a true partner in pest remediation and securing your home from outside critters, do not use this company.

We are sorry to have “let you down” and receive this 2-star review, as we strive for five star review status each and every time. Our office assistant escalated your concern to upper management. Upper management’s immediate directive was to call the homeowner back and arrange for our technician to return to the property and assess the situation, and establish proper measures to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the office assistant failed to make this call in a timely manner.<br><br>We since have arranged for our technician to go out and assess and absolve the issue. This arrangement was made 1 day after the customer called voicing their concern. As for the “wait and see” response. We do not use this terminology. It’s more of explaining that sometimes it does take an approach of having to wait to catch an animal. If you think about trapping an animal or even a fish, you can only do so much and then it requires cooperation from the animal. In this case, the pest is a squirrel which are pretty smart, quick, and agile. This house is a pretty old house, which has many access points for squirrels to get into. We have identified and repaired most of them. However occasionally there are small openings that are difficult to see during a routine visit. A homeowner, having access to there home twenty four seven will have much more opportunity to wait and track the squirrel to see where they are entering and exiting. There is not always this activity when we are at the property.<br><br>Lastly, the area which the squirrel is entering is inaccessible for direct trap and/or cage placement. So, there are a lot of variables keeping us from a super expedient solution in this case. BUT, please note that we will stay on it and do the best we can. Hopefully this issue will be resolved very soon and we will have another very happy customer whom would be kind enough to update this review status.<br>

Wouldn't recommend. Didn't show up to one appointment because they forgot to send the contract on time and the tech couldn't do the work without it and arrived late to another appointment without prior notice ("the schedule changed"). Email to ask about contact info to the new home owners to retrieve their equipment but decided to send a surprise bill the next day instead. There's plenty of good companies out there and this is in my opinion not one of them.

After researching this review, we did confirm the customer received the proposal on time, unfortunately the customer failed to sign it prior to his confirmed scheduled appointment. Our technician was scheduled to complete the service on 11/16, in which we made the extra effort to schedule on a Saturday. When our technician arrived to complete the service, he was unable to perform the service due to the customer not being home, despite arranging the appointment with the customer. We did not have a signed agreement (Which was forwarded to the customer on the day prior to his appointment on 11/15 @ 3:47PM) nor payment. These factors resulted in the technician not being able to perform the service. <br><br>On Monday 11/18, we were able to adjust our technician’s route to accommodate the customer’s treatment that we were unable to perform the previous Saturday. We also waived the appointment no show / rescheduling fee for the customer.<br><br>The treatment, we completed for this customer. included several follow-ups. Our office is very diligent with documenting every conversation and times that we confirm with our customers. As stated, this treatment included follow-ups. We worked very hard to get everything done for this customer, as he was selling the home and was required to have this treatment completed. There was a time conflict for one of his follow up services, so our office sent an email on 11/25 letting him know that the 2nd follow up service time had been adjusted to a different time, 2:00pm. We also sent a reminder email about this service/time change. Both notices clearly notified him of the time change and were given more than 24 hours prior, offering him the opportunity to receive and adjust the time accordingly for his benefit. <br><br>Our treatment proposals are very detailed and explain all terms and conditions of our services to ensure there are no surprise costs or invoices. We feel we went over and beyond in order to satisfy the wants and needs of this customer. It is very unfortunate to receive this low rate through no fault of our own. <br>

Our Lind Pest Control specialist, Carl, just concluded his quarterly visit. What a pro! Carl is personable, funny, and thoroughly competent. He looked over some potential squirrel problem(s) and took measures inside and outside our house. He explained what he was doing and offered suggestions for repairing damage. The came quickly (within a day of calling) and the tech was friendly, but those are the only nice things I can say about Lind Pest Control. I was working on a roof and needed a bee hive gotten rid of so that I could keep working. The tech never went in the attic to look at the hive, he just sprayed some stuff on the outside of the roof and then said to call in 24 hours if there didn't appear to be less activity. I called the next day and the lady said, "Oh, it actually take 3-5 days." She was rude and unhelpful. If it was going to take 3-5 days, I needed to know that up front. Then, they sent the invoice to me but they also sent it to the homeowner, even though I said I was going to pay the invoice, and the invoice they sent the homeowner said "overdue" and it was sent the very same day that the tech came out!! The spray didn't even work. There were the same amount of bees as before. Very unsatisfied.

Technician refused to text ETA and left my front gate wide open as he performed his services. I had a dog at the time which could have gotten loose if I had unwittingly opened the front door, not knowing that the technician was on my property and had left the gate open. He was quite rude to me when I asked why he did that. I cancelled services, and was assessed a $25 fee for the company to come retrieve their equipment. Had I not paid it, I would have had to pay for the useless equipment itself. Seems petty to charge me for picking up equipment that they want back. Please do not use this company if you value professionalism and good customer service. Be forewarned that they will charge you for cancelling! EDIT TO ADD: this had nothing to do with ensuring that equipment was not left on properties. The company knew very well that they had retrieved the equipment shortly after I canceled. At the time I was told that the retrieval fee would be waived due to my extreme dissatisfaction with the technician. 7 months later, they contacted me by email to request payment of the fee. No mention was made of any possible equipment that might have been left on my property.

Of course we have an equipment removal fee and it is within the terms and conditions of our proposals. When a customer is no longer going to be on service with us, it is our responsibility to make sure our products and equipment are removed from the property.<br><br>We have a tracking system that identifies our products and equipment and there whereabouts. They are maintained and monitored continuously. Once a client decides to cancel their pest control services, it is our responsibility, and duty, to remove those products and equipment from the premises. There is a minimal fee of $25.00 for this service. This assures us that we get our equipment back, and more importantly, assures that unmonitored and “unknown” products/equipment do not present any future issues for families and their pets. This fee doesn’t even cover the cost of our technician’s time, our gas costs, etc. but it does show that we are true to the safety of all, and hold firm to the standard of excellence and follow through that our company offers.<br><br>We feel truly sorry for a client to feel the need to write such a spiteful review over $25.00 that ensures that their account is closed out properly, and no future issues can occur due to unattended and unknown products and equipment that were not removed.

Unfortunately, my senior citizen mother signed a contract and paid $435.29 for four visits with Lind Pest Control to address a small mouse problem in my home. Upon the first visit and inspection, she found the technician to be rushed, saying three different times that he was late and had to get to the next appointment. He was brash and rude to her. He quickly pointed out what "she needed to address," set a seven traps, and left. He returned one week later and retrieved one of the traps with a dead mouse and promptly left, saying that he was late for another appointment. Due to bad, rude, and highly unprofessional service by the Lind Pest Control technician, she contacted Lind Pest Control and explained her concerns to the office manager. She asked for a partial prorated refund, to stop the service as allowed per contract, and to talk with the owner. She was informed that the owner would not talk with her and she could have a refund of $50, plus a $15 senior discount which she had requested. She demanded to talk with the owner. The owner called her the next morning and angrily informed her that she was in the wrong. The owner of Lind Pest Control was just as rude and unprofessional on the telephone as his technician was in person. He was on a tirade. When she was telling him about her concerns about the service she had received, he kept interrupting her. At one point, he said, "I'm done" and HUNG UP ON HER. Shortly thereafter, another technician came to retrieve the remaining mouse traps and left. He was there for just a few moments and did not perform another inspection or full service. She then received just $65 by mail. Per their own contract, she is owed another $98.23 which they have refused to pay. This company should not treat people so badly, especially seniors. When I contacted the company on my mom's behalf, I gave them a chance to do what was right by their own contract or that I would be forced to seek other remedy through social media. I let them know consequences for their ugly actions. They responded in a Yelp review that the felt it was extortion. They wrote a lot in their online Yelp response, but never addressed the base issues: extremely poor customer service, extremely rude to customer, anger issue of owner, and non-compliance of their own contract. These are the base facts and they stand for themselves.

To Begin, Starting from Rick Hughes’ “depiction” of what transpired. He is not our customer, we do not have a signed contract with him nor have we ever spoken. Rick Hughes is under false representation.<br><br>If this review is in reference to an S. Hughes, which we did have a contract with and have spoken to, please continue to review the facts listed below. We are also sorry to hear of this review, but frankly are not surprised.<br><br>We accommodated all of "S. Hughes" “demands” to no avail. She felt we did not spend enough time at her house on her initial service, and even though we inspected her home, addressed all of the rodent access points, labeled them on a professional diagram, set all of our equipment etc. while spending ample time at her property, we sent a technician back out to rectify the situation, at no additional cost. Keeping in mind, this was over the holidays and she needed immediate assistance which we provided.<br><br>When we went out, for her first follow up service, we caught some mice and promptly removed them. Afterward, she called the office and said she did not like the technician and wanted to cancel her service prematurely. We called her with the offer of a different technician to come out. She declined and said that other companies told her they would caulk up the openings and she did not understand why we did not fix the access areas in question. We told her that the areas in question were much too large of areas for caulking, as she had a couple of large holes in her foundation that a small dog could get through and no amount of caulk would adequately repair this. We had also called attention to a dryer vent exhaust hood that was damaged past the point of repair. She wondered why we didn’t put some plastic over it to close it up. We informed her this would be a fire hazard and it would be irresponsible for anybody to do this type of work or even suggest it. Furthermore, LIND PEST CONTROL does not perform “shotty” repair work.<br><br>We did offer to repair these situations (at a discounted price) which, of course, she declined. We realized this was a person who was not being reasonable, in any way, so we agreed to rebate the portion of her unused service. LIND PEST CONTROL, INC, issued a rebate check.<br><br>Her son (Which we are assuming is Rick Hughes, the person writing this review) sent an email basically extorting us by threatening to go to all social media outlets and give a bad review if we did not give them more money! And here we are!!! We’re sorry to have received this unfair review, but we also know that we did our job and there are some folks that are simply unreasonable and cannot be satisfied no matter what we do. We were not about to give in any further, after bending over backwards to be more than fair in this situation.<br><br>QA<br>LIND PEST CONTROL, INC.

The technicians were great. The office staff was curt to the point of rudeness and inept far beyond that point. Between saying they'd sent invoices that were never delivered to missing appointments by over 24 hours, I'm glad to have finally terminated my service with them.

It is very difficult/impossible to issue a service date that would indicate the exact time and date frame of every quarter. We try to schedule services together with all of the surrounding neighbors and homes within a common area. This is a scheduling process throughout any professional service industry for many obvious reasons and some not so obvious. I assure you it is necessary to be precise and economical. Regardless, when calling to schedule, we offer times and dates and are flexible if those schedule dates do not work for folks. We also put out reminder calls the day before. Again, we are sorry we could not meet your particular needs, we thank you for your business.

Our landlord pays for the pest control service. The men that have come in and checked up on our traps have all been very nice. The reason I’m leaving a poor review is the way the scheduling of visits has taken place. They call us the day before simply going “we will be there tomorrow morning at this time”. Me and my roommate do not have consistent schedules for work. And having less than 24 hours to be warned about people needing to come into the home makes it very hard for us to be available, therefore having to reschedule almost every appointment. Every time we have tried to explain that to the receptionist we were met with rudeness and no flexibility. If they were to call us and ask when a good time this week would be to come visit we would be happy to oblige and schedule a time that works with our schedules but we were never given this option.

Hannah we received your review and information. We try our best to accommodate everyone's schedules when putting routes together. Unfortunately, we do have to be honest, there are times when we may have an opening and we are right around the corner from a property. In these instances we do call customers to let them know we will be in the area on that day and time. Sometimes this works out and sometimes it doesn't. In checking on this property, we do have notes in the system regarding your schedules; however, we will continue to try and call to see if there is a possibility a date and time will work especially if we are right around the corner from the property. Horrible, horrible service. The owner Randy refuses to return phone calls. I got sick after one of the pest treatments at our home. When he didn't return my call to discuss, we called again and CANCELLED SERVICE with LIND PEST CONTROL. (FYI, we had been a long time customer). They continued to deliver services and charge us even after we cancelled service. Instead of talking with us, Randy the owner turned it over to a collection agency. I filed a complaint with the BBB. LIND Pest Control is NOT a BBB member.
