This has to be the worst pest control company of all-time. Let me explain how I've arrived at this conclusion: not entirely being happy with the service I was getting over the past year, I decided to cancel my service. I had a final treatment (part of the contract) which I was told I needed to schedule to avoid early cancellation (contract for 1 year was expiring; I had one treatment to go). Service was to happen on 4/24 and my bank account was charged for service. I called Spire to inform them that no one arrived to service my house (I work from home, there are 4 adults present, and I have cameras, so I know when someone is here; plus all the techs at least knock or ring the bell prior to service, that also did not happen). Spire claimed their tech had come, but absolutely had not. They claimed their GPS proved the tech had come, but GPS doesn't prove work is complete just a location. So the tech could have parked on the street and left or even worked mistakenly on a neighbors house. Spire charged me for the service that was never conducted. The irony is I don't care about the money, I do care about the truth. The truth is the tech never came, service was not rendered, and I was charged. I do not recommend this company. I have worked with other pest control companies in other states and have never been treated this low.

I can see that you have discussed with your neighbors about the service that was performed on 4/24 We are able to accept footage from the ring camera and that can be sent to contact@spirepest.com” we pulled the GPS records, and you are absolutely correct that the technician could have potentially sat in a car and GPS coordinates do not prove what was or wasn’t done, but it certainly does approval location for a specified amount of time to which we have confirmed. You mentioned in your review that you have camera footage, which we requested that because we certainly want to do our diligence and make sure that it is accurate. We certainly are not concerned with the service fee and it is also about accuracy, transparency, and integrity. Spire Pest Control holds our self to a standard of excellence and we have asked you for the video footage or a ring doorbell camera footage to verify what you are saying. I am genuinely curious if it isn’t about the money for you and it is about the accuracy then why haven’t we seen the videos because we sincerely want to improve our service. we are happy to warranty our work to make sure that you are satisfied with the service. we warrant at our work and we also mentioned that we were happy to come back and provide a reservice for you regardless of the footage, but it would be helpful if you could send that to our office.

I am very disappointed with this company and I do not recommend them for anyone. As a licensed Realtor and local business owner it disheartens me to leave a bad review. It is such a seldom thing for me to do but after what I experienced and continue to experience, I believe others should know to steer clear. I setup a service agreement when they came to my home on an unannounced sales call. I was decently impressed with their sales rep and he assured me multiple things that led to me moving forward. It was when the technician showed up that everything went south. I was having our home treated for fleas. The service tech let me know it was best that I not be home and to stay gone for at least 3-4 hours, which I did. I showed him how to secure our home when he left and since my home was under surveillance, I agreed to leave him there. He was adamant about our animals must not come back in til we got home. When I got home tho, my garage door was wide open, the door into our home was wide open. All the animals in the home, I checked my camera and they entered as soon as the tech left. Also while on camera the tech never went upstairs as promised, barely sprayed anywhere in our home and left within 5 min of us leaving. When I called to report the tech for leaving my home and family compromised, instead of addressing my concern, the tech called me and left a voicemail concerned that I left a bad review. It took weeks to hear back from an actual manager and when I did they never apologized. Never said that what happened was wrong and refused to remove me from my contract. They claim I still owe $350 for a service I never received and will never trust to have them in my home again. Stay away from this company. They are unethical, disrespectful, and unprofessional.

Brittany thank you for sharing your side of the story. We would like to respond and share some pertinent details with the rest of our customer base to reflect on the accuracy. As a small business owner, I am disappointed that you would leave a review stating that we requested you to pay the $350 early termination fee, we can verify and validate that you did not in fact pay an early termination fee. in fact, what occurred was we performed two services one in September and one in October that you paid, on the initial treatment you received a discount and only paid $50 because you committed to a one year service agreement and if you did not complete the service agreement then you would pay the discount that you received an exchange for the one year agreement. Part of the service agreement also provides you with the assurances and the warranties that we will return anytime between regular visits if needed and perform work done at absolutely no charge to which we returned for a second visit in October after you had called the office to complain. We showed back up and did a reservice at no charge. Then after we performed that reservice you called in to cancel the service at which point we informed you that there was a termination fee and that we would rather rectify any wrongs that we have done as well as waive the termination fee because we believed that it was the right thing to do. as a small business owner myself I will tell you that we actually went above and beyond to waive any fees, as well as come out and perform services which was not advantageous for us only to be left with a lying customer leaving a one star review, claiming that she paid a termination fee that she did not in fact pay. we apologize sincerely for any thing that we have done wrong, but we asked that you at least share an honest and truthful Accoounting of what occurred. as a locally owned and operated business we do respond and we do care and we do go above and beyond to make sure that our customers are satisfied. we believe that we fulfilled every part of our agreements to you by coming back free of charge and also we went above and beyond by waving any cancellation fee because quite frankly, we could tell that we didn’t want to deal with a customer like you. if you are in fact, a small business owner and a real estate agent you also can probably relate that not everyone is somebody you want as a client. We sincerely wish you the best, but we are not looking for customers like you with unrealistic expectations of perfection and unwillingness to find an amicable resolution.

I signed up for this company after a sales man was going door to door in our neighborhood. Since the very first treatment there has been nothing but problems. The techs that come on site never complete the full service as it's lined out in thr service contract. After our second treatment we will be left calling their office again for an incomplete service. I was out of town and asked my husband how the service went just to find out they never even came inside to spray nor even asked to come in. So far the company seems to be very untrustworthy or at the very least they need to have better follow up to make sure their techs knownthe full scope of work that needs to be done.

We are happy to do interior work after the initial service if needed but prior to our service appointments when we send out a text message or an email notification we need you to respond and schedule a specific time and let us know that you want the interior treated. as a pest control company, we can’t just let ourselves into people’s homes so when we knock on the door and we arrive to do the work, it would be helpful for each of our service members to know that you actually want the interior treated. It’s a simple fix. Just communicate from your end that you want the interior treated and we are happy to do it no problem.

Waling my neighborhood and couldn't believe my ears your companies vehicles saying nasty things near our neighborhood park. Very disturbing to hear things coming from a multiple guys in your work vehicles talking about young children and not in a good way. How dare this company be allowed to be in a neighborhood and near a park talking like that. I wonder if this company does background checks on its employees before hiring them. Neighbors in the Clarendon neighborhood beware this company has grown men talking about very disturbing things about kids. When I got home I had my kids to inside the house because of those comment made to eachother. Myself and other neighbors have no soliciting but companues don't care and won't listen to no trespassing signs as well.

Worst company ever! Today i had an appointment from 8-12pm. At 11:55 am i called and a guy named Chuck told me my appointment was rescheduled to sept 4th. So this is how they do business? Not let the customer know they cancelled my appointment? Chuck claimed an email was sent to me at 11:34am. I mean thats nice of them, sending that email only 3.5 hrs into my appointment time. Well that email was never in my inbox. No call was made to me or anything so I waited all morning. Actually my husband who worked an overnight shift of 12 hrs waited all morning because I’m sick and was in the er a few days ago. Thanks Spire for wasting our time. You did not even have the courtesy to tell us you rescheduled our appointment. I don’t know what happened to this company but it use to be so nice with great customer service. I’m glad my contract is up because they lost a customer!

I was sold services by Spire Pest Control with the use of a door to door salesman. That was my first mistake. A good business is never slow enough to come and knock on your door. My contract began in August of 2022, and since that point, I have grown increasingly displeased with the quality of service delivered by Spire Pest Control. The first and second visits seemed acceptable, with the technician visibly de-webbing and applying pesticide around the perimeter of my home while addressing specified target areas. Through the winter and into the spring, however, I witnessed a sharp decline in quality and care. My property has become more "buggy" despite applications and visits by Spire Pest Control. Reasoning? I have both security camera footage and family member observations of technician visits that involved nothing more than the ring of the doorbell followed by the technician leaving the property. In each instance, I was billed $70 with a description of work that hadn't been performed. In the last month, I have witnessed a surge of wasps and flies despite TWO visits, and when demanding a third, Spire Pest attempted to upsell a mosquito package for an additional $50 per month on my service contract. I did not bite this time though the bugs certainly do. I WILL NOT be renewing my contract with this company and should you receive a knock on your door from a cheery fellow in official looking attire, just know that behind your signature is a failure to deliver on their promises. I very rarely leave negative reviews for a business and I believe in third chances. Spire Pest has proven they do not live up to their claims as I write this review with spider egg sacs surrounding my garage door while I perform the labor to remove them as Spire Pest Control profits from a locked contract. Update 4/20/23: Continued awful performance and service. Two weeks after their scheduled treatment I have literally HUNDREDS of ant hills in my backyard. The service document claimed application of Niband Bait, which would not allow for such an infestation to take place. I called the company for a reapplication and inspection and they offered no solutions and stated they have no availability and must refer my request to a scheduling manager. Absolutely unbelievable. Update 5/17/23: Still have an unreal amount of ants on my property. Still billing me monthly for services that aren't being rendered. Update: 7/24/23: Spire has failed to remedy any of the problems existing on my property yet continues to charge my account. I have submitted a request to cancel my contract with this company. If they do not adhere to my request, I will be pursuing a case in small claims court against this company for both service fees and physical damages to my property. This is by far the WORST service company I have dealt with across the home services spectrum and I am actively encouraging my fellow home owning friends and colleagues to avoid this company like their lives depend on it. I truly have never been so unhappy. My lawn is destroyed. Even my dogs are unhappy as their yard is colonized by all the things that Spire Pest Control claims to manage.

Most importantly that the pictures you showed are of your yard and Spire Pest Control service that you had was general pest control which is in and on the home and around the structure. Structural pest control does not treat the entire yard. As you mentioned in your review, you declined to have the outdoor protection plan for an additional $50 a month, which would in fact take care of the entire property rather than just the structure itself. as always, we are more than happy to come back and retreat that I also recommend that you are home when we do the reservices so that you can see the service performed. Your claims to have video footage with no work being performed is an interesting claim because if that were me at my home and I had the footage, I would most assuredly share that with the company. We have no record of you sharing any video footage with us. We do track each of our service team members to make sure that they are where they are supposed to be when they are supposed to be there and for the length of time they say they are there. as you can tell from the other hundreds of customers that have left five star reviews. They also communicate effectively with us so that we can remedy the solution together. There are times when people do have unrealistic expectations mentioning cobwebs is a little overkill as spiders do come back and spiders do relay their webs within days of us being there. You had general pest control and we will warranty general pugs on the interior of your home as well as the garage and foundation, but not to expect wasps or flying insects is a bit unrealistic. If you would like to call the office and speak to us and send us video footage. We are more than happy to work with you with whatever resolution you feel is mutually amicable but please share factual information and the entire situation and mention you didn’t have the outdoor protection plan that would have remedied the things you mentioned in the review.

I was hoping they would be a better pest control company than my last one, the technician came out to service was great and very knowledgeable. However shortly after he left, I noticed stains underneath my windows where they sprayed treatment. Called them next day and got transferred to another number where only voicemail is accepted. Waited two days and no one called back. Next week I texted my sales person and sent him pictures of the stain, he said someone will come out and clean the stains off. That was two weeks ago... Nothing. Not good at customer service. Now I'm thinking I have to clean up the mess they left behind. Update 5/20/2022 Service rendered on 5/9/2022; technician did not perform all tasks on the invoice. We were in the house when the service came, did a little walkaround and left. Only saw a bit of granules being applied; did not see spray. And although the invoice said interior was treated, I failed to understand how the interior was treated when the tech did not come into the house. I emailed customer service twice, called the office number twice and left messages each time. Terrible customer service. Makes me wonder how the positive reviews come about... fakes?

I had them come service my home. The first time they came I paid with the gentleman they sent to my house. A couple of weeks later they tried to withdraw money a second time claiming I hadn’t paid for the first initial payment. I explained that I paid the guy that came and they claim they never received it. Fast forward they kept attempting to take payment until they took my kids Christmas money. In which I had to call them for them to return it. At this point I’m unsatisfied with what’s happening, starting February they once again tried to take money from my account claiming that someone was sent to my home and sprayed outside. I was so upset so I decided to cancel the service since I wasn’t receiving what I paid for in the first place. I removed my card from their system and received several angry text messages from their employee threatening to take me to court. Update recently received paperwork from bill collection company regarding the account🙄🙄🙄 Don’t use them they are scamming people for money and not providing the service. I wouldn’t recommend them to my enemies🤷🏽‍♀️

All billing has done through digital processes so there is a paper trail. You also input your own payment information through your customer portal.. you can decide between debit credit or bank account, you also can decide whether or not you want to pay per service or spread that cost out on a monthly basis to make the cost spread out rather than one payment every 90 days or every 60 days depending on your service agreement. You were sent to Collections because you did not in fact pay your invoice. we are only in the business of happy, long-term, repeat customers, and we only Bill for what is agreed to on the service agreement and each service agreement is built after an inspection and a conversation with the customer, then you sign the agreement and we perform the work. if you have receipts or any documentation we would love to see it as we only care about 100% accuracy. We hold ourselves to the same standard of accountability of 100% accuracy when it comes to billing. we must add that we performed three services without payment. We simply want to be compensated for the work that we do. You received an initial service at a discount and you did not complete your service agreement nor did you pay for the work that was performed.

I would not recommend Spire pest control. 1. Their process had no affect on pests around my house, spiders are still prevalent, ants are still prevalent. 2. They said they would do a termite inspection on the first visit but you can't do a thorough termite inspection if you don't look at the crawl space. I still had a cob web on the latch to the crawl space door! 3. There was a wasp nest on my front porch that they didn't remove. Claimed they didn't want to damage my porch light. If you can't remove a wasp nest and that's your job, then what else can't you do? Obviously get rid of ants and spiders. 4. I called to cancel my contract and I never had a call back to see what they can do to fix the problem as if they don't care. 5. They also lied saying my next door neighbor just signed up, I checked with him a few weeks later and he said that they didn't. 6. They charged me for the second 90 days and there's no sign they came out to treat my house again. 7. Poor quality service, poor customer service, and poor communication.

Signing a contract with this company was a HUGE mistake! I didn’t have a pest problem before one of their salesmen walked into my property while I was doing yard work and sold me this plan. My only concern were carpenter bees which had eaten into my swing set and I was worried they would move onto our newly built privacy fence. What sold me on the plan was that they offered a free termite inspection. After one treatment the carpenter bee problem doubled. They returned to apply heavier duty chemicals and the problem intensified again. The swing set now has so many channels eaten through that I’m scared for my children to use it due to unstable structural conditions. During one of these follow up treatments the technician left chemicals on my back steps. Luckily I went outside when I let my dog out or he could’ve been poisoned. Another time the technician mixed chemicals in my driveway leaving chemicals all over my driveway where my children play, and another time I forgot to leave my gate unlocked and the technician texted me that he climbed my 6 foot privacy fence and let himself in!!! None of this bodes confidence in the company, nor does being billed at the beginning of the month before receiving treatments. I called to have this changed. I was told I wouldn’t be charged until service was completed yet the next service the same thing happened. After my free termite inspection, the technician broke down in our driveway and had to wait to be towed. I emailed the company to find out why I hadn’t received a copy of the termite inspection and I was informed that they didn’t do that. That was the entire reason signed up with them!!!! They referred me to Loyal pest control. I will never recommend this company for any reason and I strongly discourage anyone from doing business with them.

T roe we don’t know who you are as we don’t have that name in our system, but I can respond about a few things in general terms so that other people know and understand that Carpenter bees on a fence is not structural general pest control. We will warranty the bugs on, in and in close proximity to the home with our general pest control service. Secondly, Carpenter bees during the spring months, require monthly services and are not included in our quarterly service plans so if you’d like to remedy the issue, you need to sign up for the correct service plan. It is like saying you signed up for a mosquito program, but it didn’t take care of the termites. There is a wood destroying insect service agreement that includes termites, carpenter, joints, and carpenter bees, along with other insects that do damage to the wood and the structure of the Home. as always, we will warranty our work but prior to work ever beginning we go over a service agreement with you and answer all your questions. The service agreement will also include pictures of and names of all the included insects. We do our best to make sure all your questions are answered prior to service beginning by having contact with both a sales and service person as well as the office. If you would like to discuss this more, we are happy to speak with you and make sure that you are satisfied with the resolution. Please call the office and let us know your actual name so that we can determine first if you were actually a customer and if you are, we will be back out there within 24 hours to make sure that all of your concerns are satisfied.
