When selling our house a termite inspection was required for the buyer. A couple of the Longs guys came through and haphazardly looked around the exterior of the property. We were informed that we had termite activity and an $850 treatment would be necessary. The employees could not and would not show us any proof of activity. The report of termite activity to the buyer required us to treat. We contracted another company that did a thorough inspection. No evidence of termites whatsoever. We had the home treated to satisfy the buyer. I have heard other folks having similar stories with Longs. Watch out folks!

Regretfully it sounds like you had a very unsatisfactory experience with our company. We appreciate feedback so that we can improve our service however I must make some points on what you have very unhappily presented here.<br>If you were informed that there was an issue with termite activity old or active then you would have had a report which is specific to your property with the information of what was found or seen in writing for your perusal. When the report is concluded the technician then makes a Recommendation of whether to treat or not. Then you have the opportunity to move forward with treatment or get another inspection.<br>If an area is found to have signs of activity old or new and you as a seller are present we have never refused to show and or explain the areas of concerns to the homeowner. More than likely and as practical practice for just this type of situation photos of the areas of concern are taken as well. To my knowledge none of your accusations were reported to the office for us to explain or explore. I am apologetic that you feel angry with us but not sure how we were suppose to even attempt to clarify or rectify any of your accusations without so much as request from the office for any explanation to your issues.<br>If the report was requested by the buyer then they would have the information and you would not. Again easily taken care of with a phone call. <br>As for having another inspection and it having a different result than ours. Each technician can and does make a call on the areas of concern that he or she runs into. One technicians old and inactive no treatment recommended can be another technicians old and inactive but recommend treatment. It is meant to make sure all parties involved are protected at the sale. <br>All this I am explaining is regular stuff that happens each time an inspection is completed. I do not even have specifics of your situation so that I might investigate the issues you are putting forward.<br>In conclusion I am sorry that you feel slighted but I do feel it is unfair to come down on us with a huge hammer when we were not even aware of your unhappiness until this post. We will however take your criticism and your vitriol and try and put it to good use by learning something.<br>We will strive to improve. Thanks

We called Long’s for a water test that needed to be done prior to us purchasing our home. We found out this test was needed very last minute and we called their office to see if they could accommodate. We were a good distance from their regular service area, however they agreed to do it if we couldn’t find anyone else. Long story short we were not able to find anyone else so I left the office a message Saturday evening and they returned my call promptly much to my surprise. They agreed to come out and perform the water test for us the next day. This company went above and beyond to help us. What a refreshing experience we had with Long’s, and that seems to be a rarity this day and time. This company provides excellent communication, great customer service, and most important they do what they say. I highly recommend to anyone in need of the services they provide. Thank you for helping us on such short notice.

Great customer service. I had a problem with yellow jackets and they took care of it the same day I contacted them. I haven't had a problem with the bugs since. The price was reasonable and I would recommend to anyone.
