Customer reviews for Palmetto Wildlife Extractors
Mary Burgess
I wish I could give a better review as they’re very nice. However being charged $175 for a maybe 10 minute look around our home for an issue we were having with squirrels, followed by an estimate for more than $5000 to remediate and prevent further issues; I’m left with a bad taste, feel taken advantage of and feel like the $175 was a money grab. Especially since we had another company out without a charge to do their much more thorough inspection which refuted Palmetto’s findings. Needless to say we will be going with the other company. We have and will continue to share our experience with others.

Company cancelled multiply times. They were the only company that charged for a home inspection. Many other companies out there. Don’t waste your time!

When we called Palmetto Wildlife about a squirrel in our attic, they came out the next day to asses our needs. Their Service Team came out two days later to seal the area beneath our roof overhang completely around the the entire house. They were able to remove a flying squirrel that had nested in the attic. All work was done professionally at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend their services.
Molly Gerwe
We had a snake caught in some tomato plant netting and were unable to free it ourselves so Justin came out quite promptly and removed it without injuring it and took it to re-home elsewhere. He was prompt, courteous and efficient. Would recommend him whenever you have critters you need removed.

I’m so sorry for the late post but I would definitely recommend your services. Starting with the communication with Angela throughout this whole process was amazing. She kept me in the loop with all the details when it came to ordering the siding and having to wait because it wasn’t correct. I called Palmetto Wildlife for now my late mom who used to hear bats in her walls for a longtime. The guys came down inspected the outside area it was a November 23’. The guys knew exactly how to take care the issue, they were professionals. I do apologize i do not have the finished results but when i visit again i will post it.

I was impressed with how quickly they responded to the bat infestation I had in my garage attic. I was a lot more expensive than I was expecting but they did solve the problem by adding mesh coverings to the access to that area.

We asked for a quote to have a squirrel removed from attack and they wanted to charge $1,145.00 😟. We got charged a fee for a quote.... Decided to handle the issue ourselves.
Provider response
Please excuse any inconvenience caused by our quote fee. We regret to learn that you were not satisfied with our pricing. Thank you for considering Palmetto Wildlife Extractors.

Do not call for an Emergency!! Woman answered the phone & gave me a 2-4pm time frame. 4:30pm rolled around and no call no show, so I call & the same woman stated, "Are you sure I didn't tell you 4-6". I was more than sure she stated 2-4pm because this was an emergency extraction. Don't waste your time waiting for these people.
Provider response
Mrs.Amber Scott
we appreciate your feedback and apologize for the delayed arrival.
This time of year we are extremely busy and your service request “ Noises in attic “ isn’t technically an emergency call. We scheduled you the following day ( which was today ) unfortunately we were running behind schedule and we strive to stay on top of communication with our client. When our technician texted you his you eta you informed him you found another company.
Once again we appreciate your feedback and we apologize we could not accommodate your request.

They cancelled the appt due to an emergency that came up. Then they showed up on the second appt. Estimate was suppose to be supplied, but never heard back from them. Not reliable at all In response to owner. Did NOT receive estimate, there was suppose to be no charge to check for squirrels in gutters. Bless you too
Provider response
Mrs.Phillips
We do apologize for the inconvenience and lack of following up on the estimate we just emailed over on Wednesday 11/3/2021. We are normally a lot more responsive and do apologize for that.
We never received a call regarding the estimate however we never charged you for an inspection fee due to the original inspection being rescheduled. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to make sure it doesn’t happen in the future.
Have a Blessed Day!
Cindy Parisoli
Palmetto Wildlife Extractors is a joke. I would give them zero stars if I could. They set up a rusty trap that was sprung on day one without catching anything. I called them for 3 weeks to reset the trap. The woman in the office is rude and gives you the run around. The owner doesn’t return phone calls. They tell you initially that it is a 2 week project. Basically I got 5 minutes of work from them to set up a non-functioning trap and then I was ghosted for 3 weeks. At that point I had enough and told them to pick up their trap. Save your money and your sanity and call someone else or do it yourself. I bought traps at Lowe’s, caught the squirrels and was done with the job in a weekend. I don’t know why they call themselves Palmetto Wildlife Extractors. They don’t seem to know how to extract anything.
Provider response
Ms. Parisoli,

We appreciate all feedback and deeply regret your dissatisfaction however allow me to refute a few of your statements. We documented every call/ communication and there were (4) days in between the time you indicated you believed the trap was not working and not three weeks. You also indicated you were picking up roof rats on your camera and not squirrels and we were to schedule a quality control inspection to further evaluate the need for adjustment based on your camera surveillance. Again, (4) days between that call and the day we came and retrieved our traps. We only retrieved our traps based on your persistence that you could do a better job than what we offered you.

The traps are metal and of course they get rusty when they are exposed to the elements. We were not aware that the aesthetics of our traps were of utmost importance to you.

We do wish you well and many blessings in the future!

- Palmetto Wildlife -

I paid over $1,000 to rid my crawlspace of rats. This included a $250 biotreatment (clean-up). Rat feces are still all over the crawl space (my house is on the market and three home inspectors made note of this issue). When I called to see what could be done, I was told it was because I didn't opt to have the insulation completely replaced (an extra $1,700). Use any company other than this one.
Provider response
Mrs.Martin
We find it very discouraging that we went above and beyond for you regarding this Rat infestation. When you initially called our company regarding the Rat problem our Company owner came right out and inspected your home. He wrote you up a very cost effective permanent solution. He also informed you that the Rats have burrowed and nested within the batted insulation under your home and it was very obvious and he encouraged you to have this resolved before listing the house for sale and having a home inspector notice this evidence. You asked the owner Justin to give you a price for the Insulation Removal and Replacement including removing and replacing the vapor barrier under your home. Once again Justin gave you a very cost effective price. Once you received the estimate you told us that you wanted to wait for your friend who was a home inspector to inspect your home before making any decisions. Several days later you contacted us giving us the go ahead on everything except the line item for “ Insulation Removal and Replacement, and Vapor Barrier Removal and Replacement “
So we moved forward with scheduling the Rat Extraction and Prevention followed by the Biological clean up treatment Once the rodents were gone. The day we started your project our office contacted you to Inform you as to what took place and you immediately called us back saying you did not give us permission and that you have contracted another company. We only had your email verifying your agreement to the work we just completed / started that same day you called. After the owner Justin spoke to you regarding this you called back and apologized for the miss communication. In which we could understand with everything you explained to us you were doing to get this house to the selling point.
After the job was completed successfully ( all rodents trapped, all entry points sealed up ) we preformed the Biological clean up treatment.
When you called the office yesterday ( Friday - May 18th ) the owner Justin answered your call. He listened to your concerns and the exact thing he throughly explain to you the day of the initial inspection/findings regarding the evidence from the burrowing, nesting, and the feces on the insulation/vapor barrier from then Rats. You claimed you expected the Biological clean up treatment to cover the removal of the Rat Droppings. Mrs.Martin we are in the service industry to help people and we would love to help you regarding this issue. However you rudely hung up on the owner of the company before allowing him to communicate with you regarding a resolution because you wanted this work done because you were very angry. We have the email correspondence showing the rejection of the line it that would have resolved this issue you are now dealing with.
We encourage you to review your defamation review as it is completely inaccurate.

Stay away from this company. We had bats inside of the chimney siding. We called them, and Patrick Charping, a director of operation himself came to do the free inspection. He confirmed that the bats are in the chimney. He also went into attics and confirmed that there were not there yet. In few days they came, installed trap doors, and sealed the potential entry points. We were also told that we did not have to be present for the installation of the trap cones, but there has to be somebody present when they finish by applying the enzyme mist in the attics to keep the bats away. After the installation, we noticed an ugly streak of some chemical running from the top of the chimney to the bottom of siding. It also looked that someone was trying to clean it with a solvent and made a bigger mess. After a couple of days I called and asked about the streak. I was told that they will send somebody to check it, (they new it from day one, but thought that maybe we won't notice). It took them two weeks to finally acknowledge that they messed it up. They said they would replace the siding. I made few conditions: 1. That the party repairing the siding is licensed in SC, and 2. I have to approve the color matching, and 3. I want to be present when the job iis done. It took them two months to finally do the job. They replaced the panels with the new ones, but the corner posts were treated with Comet that is abrasive and made the surface dull, thus making it more susceptible to mildew and dirt will stick to it. On my complaint they accused me of bulling. I also confronted them with a couple of services that appeared on the invoice: 1. Enzime sprey in the attics, (nobody ever went there after initial inspection), and sealing gable vents with galvanized cloth times, (X) 4. Problem with this is, my house has only 3 gables. 2. These three gables were already protected with the mesh from the inside. Overall, terrible experience. Watch their hands, because they will take you for a ride. I'd rather dealt with bats! And one more thing: the director of operations, Patric Charping of the Palmetto Wildlife gave himself 5 stars, (please see the bottom of the reviews). Well, Mr. Ludy in his response omitted few very important points: 1. I made it clear to Mr. Ludy that no one will start work on the chimney without my being present, and I have several emails to prove it. Sneaking in on my property when nobody was at home was illegal and I should have called cops. 2. The company that were to perform the repair did not produce their license, and that was another strict requirement posed by me. 3. The repair of the corner posts has been done not to standard. 4. Mr. Ludy conveniently omitted a fact that his invoice included items for services that were not done, and charging me for sealing of the 4 gable vents, when there are only two. 5. For two weeks since my call complaining about the streak there was no action from them. Only after my 2nd call Patrick came on Oct. 2nd and took a sample for color matching. 6. There was no one word of apology from the company for causing all these problems. 7. $1700 charge for removal of a small colony of bats outside of attic is a steep price to pay by any industry standards. 8. In my first phone conversation with the founder and CEO Mr. Ludy, he was the one that suggested that we can always go to small cases court if I am not going to accept his conditions. He wanted me to find a 3rd party company to repair the siding and made it clear that he won't pay more than $400. Here you have the whole picture. You decide if you want to deal with these people. I also consider making a link to share with everybody pictures of the damage, (which Mr. Ludy calls minor proble), and all relevant email exchanges. More factual lies: the streak was created the day the cones were installed, not the day they were removed 2 weeks later. BTW. Mr. Ludy also gave himself a 5 star review, like his cohort Mr. Patrick Charping. That's the sure way to improve your rating...

Mr.Szymanski
We successfully extracted the bats from your chimney shroud and preventively sealed off your house to ensure the bat could not relocate anywhere else. You agreed to the original proposal. When we came out to remove the exclusion device the technician made a mistake and caused the low expansion foam to fall out and roll down a small section of the vinyl siding in which he tried to clean it off. Unfortunately it caused a very faint streak down the small section of vinyl siding. ( From the start to finish of this job we never collected one dime from you for our services and to this day we still have not.)
My technician felt the faint clean streak was because it was wet and once dried it would not be noticeable. However that was not the case. The day you called my company and expressed your concerns about the damaged vinyl siding I came out and inspected it. I got measurements and a sample to match. ( At no time was this damage a structural issue or an issue that could cause any leak it was simply cosmetic.)
You called our company back all irate which we came to realize that this normal behavior with you and Patrick came out and sat down with you and explained to you that we would fix this issue and we have matched the siding and color. You refused to let my company do the work because we were not licensed to do it. ( however we have a contractors license.) After the meeting with Patrick we decided we would use a third party company to do the work due to the insubordinate on your part. We sourced a very reputable and licensed company to do the work. Mike the owner of this company called and met with you over the weekend to work around your schedule so he could get your approval on the color match of the new siding in which you approved. One I heard back from Mike the owner of the siding company and when he told me you gave him the approval we moved forward and had the siding replaced. The day the siding company was doing the work you came home and harassed his workers and threatened just the same you did me and my company. You told them to get off your property because they were not licensed when they are. They had about 30 more mins of work on the job to be finished and you held them up until Patrick could get to your house after he left a project to try to find out what the issue was this time. Once Patrick arrived you sir were accusing the vinyl company of only painting the siding and them not having a license to do the work. After Patrick informed you the siding was not painted it was replaced you then started talking in circles and your story changed several times. You agreed on site and also on a video ( which you knew we were recording ) that it was okay and they could finish the job. We paid the vinyl company on full even after you have refused to pay us for the bat extraction and prevention when you have said in several forms you would once the siding was replaced.
Two days after the siding was replaced ( two blue sky sunny days ) you now say it didn't match and the company didn't do the job right and you aren't going to pay one penny. Now you are saying my company has not done the work that was on the original scope of work. You sir are one special individual and I wish we would have met you on the initial inspection and not your sweet wife so we would have known what type of person we truly were dealing with and probably would have not done the job. We have done everything in our power to serve and please you sir.

I saw a Groupon for this company and called to inquire about their services because we discovered bats in our attic louvers and wanted this taken care of as soon as possible. The man sounded professional on the phone but as I found out later, this impression was deceiving. He discouraged me from purchasing the Groupon and said it was expired (even though it was still available to purchase on Groupon). He told me he'd give a free estimate instead. All well and good. The appointment was setup for the next day but no one showed up or had the courtesy to call. So I called and received an apology and an excuse about them going to a wrong address. So we made another appointment for the next day at 1pm. As of 1:45 no one had arrived, so I called and asked if they were coming. I was told he had me in their book for 2:30-3:00. At 3:40 he called and said he was only 10 minutes away and would be coming over soon. We waited around, wasting our evening until 9pm. No one showed up for the second time! Now the urgency of the situation has escalated and the bats are inside the attic!! Needless to say I am not at all happy and after wasting all this time, have to start over and find help elsewhere. With this kind of customer service, I will be very surprised if this company stays in business much longer. Don't waste your time attempting to deal with this unprofessional and disorganized company.

Mrs.Enz
We strive to serve all our clients. Unfortunately this issue occurred and we never charged you or was going to charge you for the inspection. The technician that was scheduled to come to your residence was in a fender bender / accident. We once again apologize for this and if there is anything we can do for you in the future please let us know.
Thanks,
Justin Ludy
Palmetto Wildlife
855-465-1088
