I’ve generally had positive experiences with this company and have been satisfied with the service overall. However, I do not appreciate having difficult-to-remove ads or flyers attached to the pest defense service port on my home. I live in a guard-gated community where all visitors are required to check in and disclose their purpose. This solicitor did not have permission to be in the community or on my property. While this is the first occurrence, it is not acceptable. If any additional materials are attached to my home in the future, I will be canceling my service.

TAKE NOTE OF ALL THE PRICING AND BILLING REVIEWS FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS. I strongly caution any current or prospective customers to think twice before setting up service. Their billing and pricing practices are awful. They raise rates steadily, steeply and without notice. And I'm not talking $5 for inflation. I'm talking $20-$30 every 6-12 months for what is essentially the same service. They also will solicit you for unwanted services for additional money via text message. When you express concerns about pricing they simply ignore or gloss over your concerns. IMPORTANT: they will attempt to schedule your bi-monthly service MUCH sooner than scheduled and think you won't catch it. On multiple occasions, they have tried to schedule service 2-3 weeks sooner. I believe this is an intentional practice in order to increase frequency and make more money off of customers. HomeTeam is all about diminishing returns - you pay more and more and get nothing more in return.

I am very happy with Hone Defense pest service. My servicing personnel have always been excellent. They communicate proactively when they are due to come out and when they complete the work. It’s always easy to reach someone to talk to you if there’s a question or if more information is needed. And the best part is, I never see any bugs!
This company is great! My brother has used them for years and I just transitioned from an apartment to a house so I needed a good pest control company. Carl was super helpful and informative. He got me set up for service quickly and at a fair price. I had my first service with Jayson and he kept me updated before, during, and after he was done. 5/5!!!

I’ve been a loyal customer for several years, but I’m extremely disappointed with the recent rate increase. I used to pay $80, and my recent rate is now $118—an astronomical jump! This steep increase came without any improvements or additional services. Paying significantly more for the same basic pest control feels completely unjustified and makes it seem like the company is taking advantage of its customers. The technicians have always been courteous and effective, but the new prices are simply not reasonable for routine service. I understand costs can rise, but this increase is far beyond what I’d expect. As a result, I’ve canceled my service and chosen another company that offers better value. I hope management reconsiders their pricing structure or at least provides more communication or added value for long-standing clients. Until then, I cannot recommend HomeTeam Pest Defense. I encourage every customer to review the value and service they are receiving, as there are many other companies offering great service at better prices. I know HomeTeam can do better—when I called to cancel, they immediately offered to lower the rate. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BEFORE LOSING A LOYAL CUSTOMER, NOT AFTER.

Sales people are scammers. I used them for a year and recently canceled service because we are selling our house. I called back to get a one time treatment because our house hasn't closed yet and they tried to charge me $219 when I was only paying $70 a month ago. You have lost my business for our new property!! Greedy!!!

Do not recommend - After several months of poor service, I canceled service (missing appts, ant issues) on June 5th. They stated I needed to pay for June and it would end July 1st. I called in a service and they refused to come out because I cancelled. I stated I had service until July 1st, Nick-Supv said service doesn’t include Re-treats. Half of the planned treatments had to be rescheduled due to customer emergencies. Not sure they ever came back when rescheduled. Too many issues, overpriced bi-monthly service. Can’t keep staffed.
We are not satisfied with the result. Our house is new less than one year old. There are substantial presence of insect despite HomeTeam Pest Defence application every other month of pest control. See photos of ants like creatures inside our interior walls. I bought insecticide and sprayed.

I would not recommend this company at all. I got emails to start from Scott as we bought a Lennar home. They then set this account up and charge us and not even come out to do the service. When you call they are in “Meetings” and do not come out. Still trying to get my money back for a service they never did! Run away! Far away!
I have been lied to on several occasions along with no-shows. It’s the customers fault that these people do the schedules, say they will be at home at one point, hear nothing or no show, when asked, then reschedule and never show or call. To pay big money and get horrible customer service and then bosses aren’t accountable for their actions to even callback in a timely manner is ridiculous. “Gerald” is not someone I’d recommend as he lies about showing when scheduled or never shows at residence.

You lied, your customer service rep said that I will need to sign a form allowing your technician to be on my property. Your technician brought a years contract. If I wasn't on the phone with my insurance Co. I would have immediately told him to stop and leave. If you sent the wrong form by mistake, that makes you incompetant. If you purposely sent the wrong form, that makes you scammers trying to take advantage of seniors. I don't do business with liars, cheaters, scammers or incompetent companies. You don't deserve even 1 star.

We legally need a signed agreement when we do services to protect your home and our employee while working on your property. Yes it is a service contract that does indicate it will automatically renew in one year, however, you can cancel the service at anytime. The agreement locks your service price for that year, but you have every right to cancel at anytime, even within the first year. Again, I apologize for the misunderstanding and hope that you might reconsider using our services in the future and give us an opportunity to win back your trust. I will not judge the integrity of this Hometeam Pest Defense company located in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, I must rate the integrity of one of their technicians named Kevin. Having video proof, I have caught him twice about lying to me about the service he provided. I have terminated my contract with this company. To all present and future customers of this company: Be well aware of the services your assigned technician provides you…. Video evidence is best, since the technician will deny any wrongdoing.
I do not recommend this company, techs never come as scheduled, always giving last minute notice, and their invoicing billing department will drive you nuts. And don't even bother requesting a manager to call you back as they never will.

Do not use this company, Pamela is a very rude person on the phone 1st off. Second it was up to me to call to find out why this company charged my credit card $84.00 plus $85.00 and they wanted to play it off it was a mistake. Yet, the rep Pamela had a very large attitude problem. This company scams customers and steals money from them by charging a $1 less and think that there customers wont notice. Pretty sad they steal money from customers at this company.
