Hi Jeanne. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to your review. I looked over the photos from your inspection and your quote is not out of industry pricing. You have heavy rodent activity and droppings in the attic. Your insulation is blown in insulation, so clean up of those droppings is more delicate and complex, as not to affect the effectiveness of your insulation. Rodent problems are not a cheap problem and industry pricing is not as you mentioned. The rate that you mentioned of $300-$600 is a trapping rate for a professional company, which we fall right in line for at $489 for your quote; however, that does not include exclusion (sealing up of entry points) and clean up and sanitation (vacuuming rodent droppings throughout the attic space or other affected areas and atomizing with hospital grade viricide to kill disease, bacteria, and rodent pheromones). You may find a handyman that would attempt to try and tackle that issue for the price you mentioned, but you get what you pay for and the quality of that work would definitely not be within industry standards. Rodent work is a high health hazard to employees and that is why we take all the proper precautions in making sure that our employees are protected with proper PPE, training on how not to drag those health hazards back through your home, and how to perform our service to turn your attic space back to a safe healthy environment. As far as your pigeon issue, the roof does in fact have heavy pigeon droppings all around your A/C system, so whatever company came out and told you there is nothing is not being honest with you. Our technicians share their inspection photos when they go over the estimate, so you know exactly where the problem areas are. Our company does not send photos to unsold jobs. We do charge a very inexpensive $69 inspection fee, which is a full inspection that starts on the roof, into the attic, down to the foundation. Our inspections last 1-1.5 hours and are extremely thorough. If we notice that your property is suffering from another pest issue, it is customary for us to identify and make you aware of it, as most customers have no clue what is going on in the spaces they almost never see. As a courtesy to you, I have emailed you the pictures of the roof area with the heavy pigeon droppings. We definitely do not want any customers or potential customers having the idea that we are attempting to scam/upcharge them, but instead hope they can see the value of true professionalism with the highest regard to SOLVE their nuisance pest problems right, the first time.
