Alta Pest Control

This place is horrible. They can't give you a time of day that they will be at your house. They just tell you, they'll be there. Some point in the day, there's still all kind of bugs outside of my home. I still have ants coming inside my house when I called to cancel them they told me that I signed a contract and I can't cancel with them even though they failed to do their job. So when I finally got them to cancel four days later and ten calls, then they send me an email saying the that they're going to charge me four hundred dollars! Let me tell you about the first time they came here. The man came in my house spray it in 3 locations. Then went into my garage sprayed, a couple places in there, left, left my garage door open my back gate to my yard. When we informed them that the gate needs to be shut.Because I have a special needs Child! This is the worst company. Oh, and they charge you every month. But they only come out every quarter.! Update, they sent me a bill for the remainder. Of the year service that I canceled saying that I signed a contract. Yes, I signed a contract. The contract stated that you were supposed to get rid of the bugs. There are still spiders everywhere. You didn't do your job. You didn't hold up your end of the contract. Therefore I don't need to hold up mine. We can go to court. I bet I win.

Don’t waste your time if you have pets. I’ve been using Alta for about a year and a half and have been paying $49/mo. For the technicians to service the property, any animals need to be brought inside. Otherwise, if the tech arrives and there are pets in the backyard, they don’t go into the backyard. All of these things are reasonable. I have had to call in ~5 times (maybe more?) asking that they give me a 15-30 minute notice when they are on their way so I can make sure the dogs stay inside. Otherwise, they only tell you which day they’re coming and it could happen any time within normal business hours. Each and every time I have been told that it’s been noted and I will be notified moving forward. Most recently, I got a 5 minute notice about the tech arriving at my house, and he ended up only doing my front yard because my dogs were in the backyard and I was away from home. I had to call in and request that the tech come back out and, once again, I requested that this issue about being notified be fixed. The next day, not only did I not get a notice about the tech being on their way, I didn’t even get the 5 minute notice. The tech just showed up and rang the doorbell and I happened to be home. I’m tired of wasting my time having to reschedule every time the tech comes out and they don’t service my property. I’ve given several chances and have been patient and cooperative. I am currently looking for a new service and I am learning that there are more affordable ones who don’t seem to struggle with notifying their customers.

Best pest company I’ve had in town. Never any issues, pest free. They do good with my dogs and they are priced well. Very happy.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Alta Pest Control in Las Vegas. We hired them to deal with a scorpion and cockroach problem, paying about $300 upfront and then over $50 a month. We have a one-year-old child, and scorpions can be very dangerous to small children and older adults. Unfortunately, the service was completely ineffective. We never found a single dead scorpion outside the house after their treatments. In fact, the scorpions started coming inside, making things even more dangerous. The cockroach problem was never resolved either. They even told us to cut down two trees in our yard at our own expense, claiming the scorpions were climbing in that way. We did that and it changed nothing. After more than a year of paying them monthly, I ended up buying a product from Amazon and found eight dead scorpions the first night I used it myself—something Alta Pest Control never accomplished. Now they are trying to charge us over $400 and have harmed my wife’s credit score because we stopped the service. The manager was very rude and said they will only remove the charge if we rehire them, which is unacceptable. I just want to warn others not to trust this company.

Was prompted in getting me in the system then getting someone out right away. Multiple ant hills Became too much to deal with. Tried numerous products but none stopped them. Now they’re gone. Great job.

I have been an Alta Pest Control customer for several years and the service is outstanding! Joshua provides excellent service whenever he comes to exterminate my house. I am usually asked if there are any concerns or areas that need special attention. I receive an explanation about the process being performed and Ardent follows up with a text and email once the service is complete. The Technicians always remind me to call them if I have any questions or need additional extermination after their visit. Alta Pest Control is great, the staff is friendly and professional. It is rare for me not to speak with a Customer Service Representative who handles all my inquiries. I would highly recommend Alta Pest Control for extermination needs.

Used these guys because of a roach problem. I had no idea what to do but Steven was there every step of the way to help me out and take care of the problem once and for all. I recommend everyone use them! /If/ I run into another issue they're the ones to call.

Excellent tech takes time to listen and handles himself professional would recommend him in a heart beat.Alta Pest Control are by far better then Amy others in their field.I have used other pest control companies like American Pest Control and Alta Pest Control Provides a better quality of service as well as the chemicals they use.I have not ever seen any kind of bug literally not one in the year I have been using them. I will never go any where else a superior service and reasonable prices!!! Try them once and you will never go any where else.

I called about an infestation and wanted to get rates just to be ask for my information, transferred three times to other companies, and now I'm getting spam calls from scammers every twenty minutes or so the day after. I haven't gotten any calls for a long time and to suddenly be spammed because my information was sold is tragic 💀

Absolutely the worse company to work with. The put you on a contract, they make it very difficult to cancel it (after the contract is completed), and they have rescheduled my appointments a few minutes prior to coming in. I DO NOT suggest this company for any new homeowners, because anyone who has been an owner for a while knows better... Lesson learned.

The worst! They won’t give us a time when they are coming to do service. If we want a certain time we have to call before EVERY service. Which will only allow us to do 4 hour windows. We had a different pest control for 4 years and the only reason we switched is because Alta sprays for mosquitoes. Biggest mistake because our home doesn’t even get serviced due to the 4hr time frames not working for us. No call no heads up for a TIME. I have called multiple times to get this fixed and nobody has answers. I would have canceled the first month, but ITS A 1 YEAR CONTRACT!! Never had to be in a contract with other pest control company. Just save your money and go with a company that will work with you.

if i could give them zero stars then i would. hidden fees and we still have scorpions and other critters. cancelled the service because we were unhappy with the results and that ended with us having an extra $300 attached to the bill. they come out 4 times a year… $60 a month for 12 months is $720 dollars. no way in hell would have we agreed to this if we knew beforehand… we have now contacted a lawyer

If zero stars was an option I would choose it. This company absolutely robs you. Lies about their fees and tries charging you for services never rendered. I called for a quote for a ONE TIME service after seeing one bug in the years I’ve lived here. Only because there was an ad for a discounted price. When they came and sprayed my tiny back yard I talked to the tech about probably not needing future service after he recommended every 3 months as I’ve never seen any insects in the 2+ yrs I’ve been here. One month later I was charged again, when calling them they told me they accidentally put me on a plan and could credit that charge to my account for a future visit. Fast forward 4 months later I get a text saying thanks for scheduling for a technician to come out in the upcoming week. After my husband calls and cancels this appointment we never made, they come out anyways. Then charge me double what it was before not including the “credit” I had. After calling them they then try to insist I signed a year long contract for $60 monthly payments for them to come out 4 times a year (every 3 months) , that’s over $700 a year for a service I never agreed to. And that if I wished to cancel my contract I would need to pay a $290 difference for the discounted first service…. Mind you I’ve only had them come out once and they’ve already charged me $240… for a one time service of a tiny backyard. This company is a bunch of con artists. I guess I’ll have to dispute the charges with my bank at this point. I would never ever EVER recommend this company to anyone. I’m not sure if the better business bureau could help with their falsified contract but I’ll be following up with them as well to see what can be done.

-☆ Such scammers. All we did was call to ask the price. First pest control company we called out of 3. Next thing you know we get a statement in the mail saying we owe them 49$ for quarterly preventative. We literally called for a quote, didn't sign anything didn't get any service from them.. I wouldn't even call these people unless you want a bill in the mail. We chose to go with orkin & highly recommend them 🙂

This is one of the worst companies I ever dealt with. Their customer service is terrible. They came out and sprayed my house, three weeks later, I still had a lot of ants throughout my house. I called them, and they never showed up, but their bill did. Go to Moxie Pest Control, they are awesome! You have been warned.

Robbed me? The pest control person must've doubled back and stole our of my yard. He and I were the only two that had the gate key. Padlocks only come with 2 keys. He came when he thought I was at work. Surprise! I was home. The lady I initially spoke to was rude and kept calling me a liar basically because, she doesn't think her people would ever do that. He fled quickly and left the key that I gave him in the lock. I now have both keys so how did it happen? Police report filed. Don't let them know your off days and do not give them a gate key. This is a gun loving household. Don't make a mistake.
