Wow! Just got home and found a really great hand written note from the Summit Lawn Fertilizer Tech, Justin. This was a first visit and wow, I’m blown away… The note told me everything I need to know about what he did today, what my watering schedule should be and what to expect next… My family was home and said he was super friendly, helpful, and funny! Apparently my teenage daughter was teasing my dog and he enjoyed it ha ha If this is Summit Lawn’s service, then I’m in all day long! Thank you, Justin!

Scheduled aeration for my lawn in early spring. They told me they'd be out in a few days. They were in a huge hurry to get my credit card info. Called back over a week later, they told me they hadn't scheduled me, they couldn't get to me for a few more weeks, and basically told me tough shit. Never use this company.

Hi Kyle, <br>I'm sorry you feel like you had a poor experience with us and were frustrated with the scheduling. According to our system, you signed up on on the afternoon of Monday May 5th and cancelled one week later the morning of Tuesday May 13th. We had already completed all spring aerations weeks before you reached out to us, but we are still able to perform it. Aerations take coordination and planning to ensure you have time to flag your irrigation system and we can schedule it in around other clients. There are other people who signed up for other services before you and we try to respect that for them. We do our best to provide services super fast as soon as sign up occurs, but sometimes things like a tech calling in sick, the seasonality of certain services, and the timing of the request can influence how that scheduling takes place. <br><br>I can assure you, and our call recordings will confirm, no one in our company would ever tell you "tough sh*t" or even give that sentiment for any frustration you would ever have. <br><br>Again, we're sorry we weren't able to meet your expectations. Great company!.....until my recent lawn service where they decided to do all four treatments at once and charge me 377 dollars for the month of September. Completely unacceptable in this market where people are struggling to make ends meet, these guys are core aerating and liquid aerating on the same day dropping 400 dollar lawn bills on you.

Unreliable communication. Too many texts advising of treatment dates that turn out to be inaccurate. Just mistakenly applied a treatment to my neighbors lawn - unsafe for their dog - after we were waiting for application to our lawn for past three days. Something’s broken

Two of my neighbors use Summit Lawns. While Summit was at each of their houses they were blowing leaves from my neighbors yard into my yard. The first time it happened I went and talked to the worker and asked him not to blow them into my yard. Especially since he was blowing them into my kids’ mulched play area. The second time it happened I called Summit and talked to the receptionist who was very kind and said that they would come back into my yard and clean up their mess. Unfortunately they never came back to clean up. I feel like I’ve done my part in trying to solve this and it really is sad that they are not listening and continuing to run a business like this.

$106 for a 24'x26'front yard and 8'x9'x12' yard, just to overseed, no aeration, just to spread grass seed on top of the grass, insane, I can mow my entire yard in 15 minutes, I could buy 10 years of grass seed for $106, then add $56 for "fall revitalizer fertilizer". Nope, lost my business

If you are looking for someone to show up and bill you, this is your company. Beyond that do not expect much, lawn mowing and lawn treatments are poor. The time it takes to manage summit, you should just do the work yourself. Instead of making your life easier, they will make it more complicated.

I can't say enough bad things about this lawn company. Our lawn turn yellow while they were 'maintaining' it and every time they came out for another treatment offered no suggestions of what the problem was. Just spray on and collect the money is what is was all about. So much for their promise to 'inspect the lawn and let us know if their were any issues.' I talked with the last guy who treated the lawn and he had no idea what to even tell us the problem was. It was only after firing the company and hiring Lawnco (which is amazing) that we found out the spray on fertalizer was not effective for our grass and they should have been using granular instead. The guy at Summit said 'it was basically the same thing', obviously not bc we had Lawnco come out and do granular two weeks later and the grass is finally showing signs of life again. (Complete waste of $59 for the previous spray). We also had an issue with their mowing guys (they mow our neighbors grass not ours) and REPEATEDLY cut through our ENTIRE yard to get to their backyard (we have it on video), tearing up the side of our grass at one point. Then a rep from their office came out to find a solution to THEIR problem and decided to also trespass and walk through our yard to find a workaround. Would NEVER recommend this company to anyone I come across and will steer them clear!!!!!!!!!

Hello Mrs. Fazi,<br><br>I'm sorry you had a poor experience with our company. As soon as we were informed mowing crews were using your backyard to access the neighbor's backyard, we spoke to them. It is no secret that staffing scenarios have been *inconsistent* for every business in America this year. We have been challenged with significant employee turnover and with new employees came the repeat offense. We are very sorry it happened more than once and tried to get the message across to the entire company to ensure it stopped. There is no excuse for that, it's unfortunately something that happened and we are sorry.<br><br>We do try very hard to provide the best fertilizer program we can. As was discussed, we take care of several homes on your same block, all of whom are on the same program and whose lawns are doing very well. We put a lot of research and science with agronomists into the products that we use to try and provide the best possible nutrients for lawns. We use both granular and (predominantly) liquid applications. I'm sorry we were not able to get you the results you wanted during this excessively hot summer. I think it is fair to note that we took care of your lawn during 4 separate heat waves this year with temperatures of 110+ degree heat indexes. Lawns all across Lincoln suffered from the weather this summer. It is now September with much cooler temperatures and rainfall, and lawns all over town are now in recovery and bouncing back again. I paid hundreds of dollars for multiple services including overseeding. My yard looks worse than what it started out to be. Not only this but it takes them multiple days to a week to contact you back. **In response to the owner and for other viewers to see results. The tree wasn’t the issue nor did it need trimmed. My lawn also didn’t need top soil or sod to help it grow. I hired another company (Weed Man) to take care of my lawn and the results were phenomenal. Within months my lawn was 10x better. The first picture is before summit lawns. The 2nd is after using summit lawns. 3rd picture is after using Weed Man.

Hello Ms. K,<br><br>I’m sorry you are unhappy with your lawn. There are several reasons there have been difficulties out there. As we started your program, we killed off many weeds and crabgrass which left bare patches in their place. Last fall we overseeded, but as is our policy we stated at the time we cannot guarantee overseed. A farmer can do everything right when planting their crop but still not know what the yield will be. Nature is still a variable that neither you nor I can control. I spoke with you about a week ago and said we would get an estimate on bringing in top soil and then either seed or sod. We met with the company that does this for us and their recommendation was the tree in the front needed to be thinned out to allow sunlight into the lawn before they could proceed. We have been waiting on that tree estimate before calling you back so we could provide you with all the information. We still have not received it.<br><br>I should have called you with the update, but I wanted to have a full game plan for you before calling. Unfortunately in this busy spring, we are relying on many different company’s schedules, so timeliness has not been ideal.<br><br>I’m sorry we failed your expectations in this regard. Mowed the wrong house. Charged us when we still had credit from their mess up from the initial mow. Left several messages, because they very rarely answer the phone, that we wanted to cancel our service and they still came out to our property to mow after we canceled.

Summit takes care of the commons area behind our property. They do a very poor job of keeping the area maintained. They often go weeks without mowing. We have had to contact the city numerous times to file complaints to have them actually mow. When they do mow, they do a poor job and often miss large areas of the property. It seems they are only racing to get done and do not care about the quality of work they perform. I would absolutely not recommend.

Hello Russ, I’m not sure if you’ve confused us with someone else? What commons area are you referencing? We do not maintain many commons areas, and whatever we do maintain is mowed strictly on the schedule requested by an HOA board. No more, no less due to how the contracts are written. Please contact us directly with more specifics if you’re talking about a property we maintain and we will make sure to dig into it and see what the situation at hand is to resolve this. Thanks
