I called at least 10 different places to try to find someone who could help us out. Steve was the first one to respond, was here the next day, and handled everything within the week. Highly recommend Steve and his team!

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Do NOT use this company! I heard mice scurrying around in the attic. I called this company, who charged $100 for an estimate. I hired them to take care of the problem for $321.75. They sent a guy out who sealed up a couple of spots, but never entered the attic. I asked him what he was going to do about the mice in the attic, and he told me that I had to go purchase bags of poison, and get up in the attic and throw them around. WHAT? This is why I hire your company (mistakenly), was to take care of the problem. NOT to pay $421.75 to have you NOT take care of the issue. I called the office, and they told me it would cost me an additional $220 to have them do that. Talk about a bait and switch! BUYER BEWARE! Do NOT use this company!

I looked at the pictures of what was done and the proposal we had sent you, I am mailing back your check for the work we performed because I don't believe what you are looking for and what we offer for a solution is the correct fit for you issues. I apologize for your experience and hope you find someone who is a better fit.
Terrible! They want to charge us over $2k to complete work that should cost far less. When questioned about charging high rates for five minute repairs their response was “everyone does this.”

Update: After a few rounds of phone tag, I spoke with the owner on the phone. I think it's obvious that I'm still disappointed, but I do have empathy for the challenges of running a business. I do think that this company is doing their best to act in the interests of their customers, but of course impact and intention are both important. In this case, the intention was right but the impact fell short. The simple thing I would have asked for, and will definitely seek in the future is a written statement from the company regarding the inspection results. In the case of my house, a paper saying "We inspected your house on <date> and have determined at this time that too much exterior repairs are required for us to move forward with an exclusion. Please complete the following items: item_1, item_2, item_3. This list may not be exhaustive." Having that written paper trail would have saved us both a lot of grief and it is my opinion that it should be a normal paper trail item to create when doing business. Otherwise, it's hard for me to understand what I paid $100 for. It is worth noting some historical facts in this case: - Bats to Rats inspected my home after I first purchased it in February 2021 and offered to do an exclusion for around $1500. I had bids from other companies and chose a company that offered a 3 year warranty for work. - The other company did some warranty work to repair issues with my house last year, which is why when I had Bats to Rats came out in December 2023, it seemed reasonable that they didn't provide a quote for exclusion services. I truly believed that they didn't find anything. I was having them come out mainly for peace of mind. I also truly believed that the lack of an "exclusion estimate" meant that they didn't see any work needing done. I don't remember the technician telling me during his visit in December 2023 that my exterior "needed extensive repairs", although that is what has been told to me now by the owner and one employee at Bats to Rats. - I compared the photos that Bats to Rats sent me from the 2023 inspection with the pre-purchase inspection photos from 2021, and the state of some of the worst parts of my exterior has not worsened significantly. I'm moving this rating to a 3 stars because while I still feel quite critical in the face of all this evidence, I am hopeful that after I finish my exterior repairs, that it will be possible to get service from Bats to Rats again and maintain a positive relationship with the company. I recognize that they can't warranty work they didn't do, but I do think it was unprofessional to leave me in a situation of lacking clarity about the result of a paid inspection. ------ Original Review: I had someone come out and inspect my house in December. I was told they didn't find any places where bats could get in. Ok, great. I felt good about the service. I misunderstood- I thought that with that inspection that they warrantied my home for a year to not have issues. Unfortunately, this past weekend I found what is pretty clearly bat droppings near an opening on my house (an opening that looks obviously to have been there the whole time, I just didn't look up at it until I saw the droppings). Today, I spoke on the phone with a service team member and was told the warranty only counts if you have "work done". How was I supposed to have work done on my house if I was told I didn't need any? So yeah, I'm pretty angry. I was told I needed to pay another $100 service fee to have them come take a look. But since the bat entry point is obvious to me, I don't really see the value. If the professionals can't find bat entry points on their own, and when they do become used, I can find them easily, why would I bother paying a company?

Prompt arrival for appointment. Results too soon to comment on. They stated they would return in 7-10 days. And then it would be another week and return again to check results Service people appeared to be very knowledgeable.

They don't travel outside Lincoln

Hi Ross, what kind of issue are you dealing with? I very much travel outside of Lincoln and service the entire state for bats.
I cannot stress enough to not use this company. After the initial work, we could tell we still had a problem, we sent photo evidence to them. They were then, very hard to reach and would not return our calls for weeks on end. We did everything they said. They were paid in full. Now, here we are 2 years later and we required another company to come out for inspection as we continue to hear noises. Within 5 minutes of being on our property, they addressed all the problem areas and were appalled at the work that had been previously done. I try to never leave negative reviews and give people the benefit of the doubt but we are out now out $1000 from this company and having to hire another company to do the job that should have been done in the first place.

I have not been notified of any problems until this review, and my records show we have not been to your home since July 2020. If we can make this right, please call our office number at 402-310-0904. My goal is to fix the bat issues that my customers are dealing with, I am sorry that you are still having a problem. As a small business we try to do the best we can and help as many people as we can, but I am aware sometimes we have issues, or the service isn't 100% effective on the first try. I was charged for equipment needed to get onto my roof. Daine then kept the equipment I paid for. So I guess I "invested" in his business when he should have already had the equipment to run this type of business. I also paid for a new attic vent, and it was actually just Daine attaching chicken fence onto front of existing vent as a permanent solution. Daine was also supposed to seal chimney leaks, chimney still leaks during heavy rain. Very disappointed and not recommend. Find someone that does quality work for the money.

I am sorry for your disappointment, I have not heard from you for over a year. Are you still having bats getting into your home? As far as charging for equipment, anytime a job calls for safety equipment to access certain areas of a home because of high or steep areas I need to charge an extra fee. I am sorry you are having water leaking in the chimney, I could refer you to some qualified roofers that would be able to better assist with those issues. I strive to humanely exclude bats from customers homes and businesses, and I offer my customers a guarantee to make sure bats do not get back in.
Mi daughter called Bats to Rats and they were so rude on the phone we ended up calling someone else! His tone of voice and arrogance was beyond anything my family has ever experienced and we will call anyone but Bats to Rats in The future
