Lawn Doctor of Montgomery County

Can't say enough good things about the customer service, and more importantly, the results that Lawn Doctor deliver! Had a ton of very stubborn bermuda grass that I struggled to get rid of for years, as well as numerous very large dead spots. Joe came out, recommended a course of treatment, and about a month later the lawn looks terrific!

After four years of trying to save money by maintaining our lawn care on our own, we contacted Lawn Doctor because we were putting good money into bad -- our lawn looked pitiful and had so many weeds and invasive growth. We contacted Lawn Doctor in August, they came out in September, and our lawn looks amazing and was transformed in just two months! I cannot believe how quickly our lawn came back (I must add that our water bill was stupid high because of all the watering we did, but watering is key to a healthy and beautiful lawn). I wish I had taken before and after pics because the transformation is remarkable. Our lawn is the envy of the neighborhood and is still a gorgeous and lucious green in contrast to our neighbors. We have used Lawn Doctor for 2 years and we noticed a lot of weeds were growing in the front lawn so we talked to the technician when he was there and pointed it out and he didn’t really care and said to talk to the manager. We contacted management and long story short it took about a month for someone to come out and do anything. Then 1-2 months later we saw tall grasslike weed called nutsedge in the same area and contacted the office again with photos and had to contact them twice before hearing back after 1 month. They said nutsedge service is usually $65 but they could waive it bc I said I wanted to cancel service. I pay for weed control but it has been twice that the company has tried to upsell me on weed control service within 6 months and my lawn looks not as good as my next door neighbor. Waive or no waive I want out and I decided to cancel service; history of poor communication, weed problems, and trying to upsell us more weed service when that is what we already pay for.

Good company. Very reliable. They did an excellent job bringing my lawn back to beautiful green.

I recently had my front and back yards done, and they look fantastic! The team was efficient, professional, and very easy to work with. Ethan set everything up and was extremely knowledgeable—he took the time to explain all my options clearly and helped me make the right choice for my space. I’m really happy with the results and would definitely recommend their services.

We have been receiving lawn service from LawnDoctor for almost 2 years and have discontinued thereafter. Our experience with them have been the following: They do carry out the lawn services by adding the lime and fertilizers, along with applications against grubs and weeds for the “annual program,” (anything else is extra $$$) but they tend to place the product onto the lawn in a general manner. We noticed that the service crew do not TAKE THE TIME TO OBSERVE where the particular product is really NEEDED, instead they arrive and quickly apply the product while overlooking the most needed lawn spaces. The service crew are usually reserved to themselves and don’t really communicate, even if the owner is visibly in sight. Due to their unfriendly character, it can be a bit intimidating at times to attempt to share with them what lawn areas needs attention. The service has helped the lawn to some limited extent and the weeds have been somewhat under control but could have been better if the crew could have taken their time to apply the product.

They give you notice they are coming and they do show up on that day. They do a great job efficiently. We have used them for more than 5 years and will continue to use them further.

We are very pleased with the services Lawn Doctor are providing for our lawn. First time since we moved 4 years ago, we finally have a nice lawn. Lawn Doctor started to take care of our lawn just this year and they have done a very good job by now. They seems to care for what they are doing. Please keep this good job! Thank you.

We moved into our "new to us" home in July 2021. The lawn was filled with weeds and needed a substantial renovation. We initially hired a different lawn care company and had poor results. On the advice of a neighbor, we hired Lawn Doctor and followed all of their recommendations for service and we are thrilled with the results. The office manager is very patient and thoroughly explains their process and the staff are reliable and do a great job. I don't write many reviews, but in the case of Lawn Doctor, I had to share how happy we are with their service.

I have used Lawn doctor for the past three years. The office staff are very friendly when called. The company is very transparent regarding service contract costs and answering questions. The company always alerts me by email a day in advance of an upcoming service. My front lawn especially has shown significant improvement because the weed control service is excellent. I recommend this company.

Lawn Doctor actually damaged my lawn. After 4 times treatments within the six months ( from Aug- Dec 2020 ( 4 times according to them actually only come three times, then to April 2021 one time without my permission), the weeds in my lawn were even worse than before that I had a picture to confirm. It looks like the weeds are very happy without any disruption and rapidly growing anywhere on my lawn. The worst thing is Lawn Doctor made me automatically renew for the next year without my permission to come to continue the service. After service, they collect payment from you even though you do not know what happened. I sent an email to them told them I already change to the other lawn company and I never renewed with Lawn doctor with their bad service. Why did they come to my home without my permission for service? After that, They continually sent the bill to me, and also Intimidate that will be sent to the collection company to ruin my credit. I just made payment for them this morning. Just give all the customers experience what I experienced. Stay Away from Lawn Doctor!!!! The pictures showed after 5 times services from Lawn Doctor.

Usually very good service but last time a new person came out and was not careful. She allowed the herbicide to drift over to my roses. Roses do not like herbicides! I was very displeased.

So far they've being working great! I started with them approximately 6 months ago and I'm looking forward to see the changes in my patio in the spring. I'll keep you posted. 4/18- front patio beautiful, back patio not so much! It has being 6 months. I talked to customer service and they said that they will take care of it.

Things look good so far. Would like better care with the tractor that spreads the fertilizer to not leave ruts in the grass when turning too severe.

We have been using Lawn Doctor for over a year now and our lawn has never looked better. The weed control shows immediate results and the long-term soil conditioning resulted in the greenest lawn we have ever had this year, including in a very shady area. Their service has continued uninterrupted and in a safe manned through the COVID-19 restrictions. I highly recommend them and they were significantly cheaper (and better!) than TruGreen.

Lawn Doctor has been an outstanding company to work with. The office staff have always been very friendly and helpful. When Joe comes to our property I feel like he is taking a personal interest in doing an excellent job for us. I'm so happy that I found them!

I have spent years trying to improve my lawn. Last August I gave up as it approached around 40% weeds. On a neighbor's recommendation, I called in Lawn Doctor. From August to September they treated for weeds and fertilized. In October they power-seeded (an impressive process). This spring I was truly surprised (and so was my skeptical wife) at the results. The grass is thick, healthy, and green. We are delighted.

Judging lawn care service is a challenge because I couldn't tell you exactly what my lawn would be like without it. However, I can confidently say my lawn is greener, thicker, and has fewer weeds than before. I appreciate the hang tag they leave on my door and the night-before call. My only area of dissatisfaction is that I feel in the dark about my service plan, what's coming next, why, and what options I have to modify the plan. In this day and age, too many other companies in myriad industries have raised the bar by giving me total control of my subscription on my phone.

This is the last of several emails I sent to this business; even after this no one reached out. I may be the outlier in this group of reviews but that does not mean I'm the only disgruntled former customer. Beware. "Thank you for your email. I understand your role in all of this so I won't belabor my points with you. Respectfully, we are stuck in a loop. I keep explaining that I came to your company, in good faith, to resolve an issue with my lawn that I now understand is Japanese Stilt grass. You keep giving me a list of options to resolve the same issue almost one year later. We both know the issue is the very same one I had initially. Instead of your company telling me last year that nothing could be done to ameliorate the problem until the following August, you charged me for services (last year and this year) that were unrelated to the problem. Of course, as a novice I relied on experts to deal with me in good faith. I have waited patiently while we proceeded through three rounds of "reviews" of my lawn with the same outcome. I will not pay for additional services from your company now or in the future. What I will do is leave as a disgruntled former customer who will share his experience with friends, colleagues and anyone else who will listen. Again, I understand you are simply the "messenger." I would have gladly shared this feedback with the owner or someone above you if they could have spared a few moments to speak with me. Clearly, my business was not important enough to try to save. Reply to the reply: Your company made me aware of the Japanese stilt grass, that is not a term I was familiar with prior to speaking to you. I was told you made the diagnosis at the time I became a customer and it is in your "notes". I could refute every point but I will sum things up by saying my lawn looks EXACTLY the same as it did before I paid your company to help me. I trusted that the services you provided were necessary to eradicate the problem I had, clearly that was not the case because I am in the same place minus the money I paid you. I would have appreciated this responsiveness directly as opposed to in this public forum. You have my contact information, the onus should not rest with me to reach out to you. I was patient and reasonable. There was never any mention of a two-year period to remedy this issue. I don't feel like you acted in good faith. Let's stop the dialogue now because my impression of your business it getting worse with every subsequent interaction.
