Absolute nightmare of a company to deal with. if you sign a contract, they WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL. make sure you are aware of that. they literally do not let you cancel and will keep offering bullshit so that they can keep sending someone out to your house. Exclusion service was insanely expensive to have someone just shove steel wool in the cracks of your house.

Ecoshield approached me looking for quarterly work around my house in 2024. I was satisfied with the work at first, although after their work began was the first time I found mice in my home. When I asked the worker about it, he arranged to send someone they called an “inspector” to look at it. The inspector (really a salesman) took photos and wrote up an estimate of work for attic abatement, basement abatement, and exclusions. He took a lot of photos. Tired of mice, I agreed to the work, despite it being dramatically overpriced, and it was scheduled a couple of weeks later. On the day of the work, I observed the crew working several hours in the attic—sucking out old insulation, blowing in new—but not in the basement. It was a very cold, 7-hour day at the end of what must have been a long week for the crew, so I didn’t make a big deal out of it. When the bill came, it included photographs of the exclusion work and the attic work, but none of the basement. I inspected my basement and found no evidence of insulation work like what I see in the attic. Of course when the bill came I asked them to exclude the basement work not performed. Their billing manager in reply at first texted ‘oh, ok, we’ll come back and do that work.’ I said no thanks. Some hours later he replied that ‘hey, we did do that work.’ But he couldn’t and didn’t try to explain why there are no photographs like those of the other work. Anyone who comes into this basement would see that there has not been $1,800 worth of mouse abatement work performed.

Ecco Shield says they were here with a pamphlet , but how do I know what they did? Oh yeah, my cameras all around my house. I see nothing they did. This is an overpriced service that lies about services rendered. I want my money back and have video proof they do nothing. I’ve Called them before about this and they refuse to refund. I’m just videoing and building my case. Stay away from this company, they suck

Here's the deal, the first two times they came and did their service, it was great. Wonderful guys. The third time, that guy actually backed up into my car. We laughed about. Wasn't dramatic, just a small bump and left like two small white scuffs on my car. Its a beater car. A good giggle but this particular service was ~eh~. We felt like he did his job but it wasn't as thorough as the first two guys. Whatever. My husband and I are pretty relaxed about a lot of things so we brushed it off. We still recommend family and friends to Eco Shield. BUT!!!! AND A HUGE BIG BUT!!!! Today was just horrible. I wanted to cancel my appointment for this coming Sat cuz windshields are supposed to be in the negative double digits. Then says stuff about my account being flagged for cancelation, then selling me about lower price, then a lot of "i understand" from not one BUT three people. I was so frustrated I ending up using profanity! Three people selling instead of helping. Just insanely horrible customer service. Two phone calls and three people full of non sense and 'i understand' for nothing. That's why i canceled. Im sad but now im "on record" for cancelation. I'll just with someone else coming this spring.

I was a customer for almost two years when I found mouse droppings in my house. I mistakenly assumed they had been inspecting and preventing this from happening. I called and they sent someone out. Ernesto arrived and said he was just there for an inspection. He did a quick 20 minute inspection, said I had 13 "entry points" and needed a new seal on the garage door. He wanted 1800 dollars for this. I was so freaked out about having mice that I agreed. A week later, a technician came. He didnt have the right size liner for the garage door, had no bait or traps, didnt have the correct information or pictures from the inspector to fill the entry points. He also thought my contract was wrong and I was being overcharged. The service manager, Dylan, came over for a new inspection. It was a much more thorough inspection, but he said I needed new insulation in the basement. He said the insulation and fixing the entry points would be 2200 dollars. I agreed and we made an appointment for a week later. We spent the week clearing out the basement and pulling furniture away from the walls. I called today to confirm and was told I had no appointment. Three weeks, four missed days of work, three people have been to my house and zero resolution. Not even a mouse trap set. I am sick to my stomach over how much money I have given this company. I think they are a total scam. Beware.

Do not do business with EcoShield! They are liars and the product doesn’t work. I am also never agreeing to doing business with door-to-door reps, call me stupid. Lesson learned. Sales rep (Eric) came to my door and offered a “huge” discount for their service. Said the yearly service is $369 and he can do it for me for just $169. Also said my neighbor signed up too. I asked if this was $169 for the whole year, he said yes and they’d even come out 4 more times to get the eggs and everything. I double checked if this was $169 for a full year of included services, he says yes. I ask if this auto subscribes me to next year, he says no and doesn’t say anything about early cancelation because after all, why would he, I just paid for a full years service. I figure, I’ll try it out for $169/year, why not? They do the first service and the guy cleans the outside of my house really well. No spider webs, no gunk, looks great, and I tip him well for the job too. Come the next month, they do another service, house outside has some spider webs, but they clean it a little, and charge me $169 again. I text back, this was a mistake right? No response, and say if i don’t hear from them, I should call. Next quarter arrives, they ask for confirmation to come, I say yes but see that they haven’t refunded me $169. I call them and they explain it’s $169 PER SERVICE. I’m now pissed, I say I need to check the contract even though the sales rep said $169 for the whole year. Contract says it’s $169 per session, and get this, if I cancel early before the year ends, I have to pay a $250 cancellation fee too. This is insane, I just went from being sold $169/year to $845/year and even if I cancel, I have to pay $250. Insane. Support was understanding but made it clear I signed the contract and the contract says all of this so tough luck on me. They even have the audacity to offer me $20 discount on the next 3 services as if taking an extra $420 from me would make me want to keep paying them. And on the product side, all the spiders are back, the webs are back, it’s like it didn’t do anything and I’m out $600. Don’t use them, and don’t trust them. Terrible company to be making money from people this way.

Lack of transparency, Customer Service was even worse! Approached by a door-to-door salesman, and luck would have it we were outside so couldn't avoid. We did have some ants and bees were awful this year, so we gave it a shot. Sold on a one-time treatment that didn't get clarified until when we were signing. Salesman (Dante) didn't mention any cancellation fee for canceling early, just text him if we see bugs come back and he'll send out a free treatment. Well...bees came back nearly immediately but wrote it off because of how the Summer had gone. Calling in got us a discount on the next service, but after all the hassle I called to cancel. Was finally clued in that it was $250 to cancel; clearly different than other reviews I've read as well as some of the treatment prices. Just goes to show it's not standardized, calling into question its legitimacy. It was already expensive, so it was an easy one to cut -- however when talking to Customer Service (Patrick), he talked over me and told me about HIS financial situation, so he gets it. Sure man, but that doesn't help us. Since it costs less to cancel than go through the final 3 treatments, it's a no brainer. I got my invoice, it says I have 30-45 days to pay -- sure enough I get a "Collection" call from Nicole asking if I got the invoice and was going to pay it. She offered to call me back in a month even after I told it would be paid by then. I'm not going to bother with photos and all that. Check the other reviews, they've done a much better job painting the picture. This is a bad investment and I'm thankful it only cost money for this lesson.

Solicited by door to door salesman. Interested to have the cobwebs/insects cleaned from my soffit. That was truly never accomplished. The financial commitment of the service was not clear and transparent. I write this review after paying my $250 cancelation fee.

Beware of dishonest practices. We were told we would only be charged for the initial service until the next 'winter service.' However, they charged us $189 just 30 days later, even though this follow-up treatment was initially presented as an included part of the first service. The technician who performed the second service signed my initials for me and did not inform us of the charge. We were also told verbatim that he wasn’t going to put us in a 'long-term' commitment, but we've since been informed we are locked into a one-year contract with a $250 cancellation fee. The contract is not provided for review until after it is signed, and you are only given three days to review it before you are locked in. I would not recommend this company unless you are prepared to pay a recurring $189 charge for service that may not even be effective."

Buyer beware! The sales rep showed up at my door, he was courteous. I had concerns about their product as I have outside animals and health concerns, so I had them send me the product information. He sold me on the year contract. Ive had 2 treatments done. The tech sweeps off all the spider webs on the outside of the house during the treatment so it looked nice, then a week later I had more spiders and webs than prior. Calling customer service basically gets you no where. They say they will call you back, but no call back. You will get transferred multiple times and have to explain the situation over and over, they just wear you down. Ive asked that a rep come to the house to assess the situation, Ive been told that's not an option. All they will do is offer a "re-treatment", using a stronger treatment. I voiced concerns again about now a different chemical and its safety. Ive asked for my contract to be cancelled due to the ineffectiveness of their product. They will do it for a cancellation fee! Ive already paid $300 for a service that didn't work and now they want to charge me $250 to cancel. So now they are offering a lower price if I agree to remain in the contract. No matter what your stuck paying more money for something that is ineffective! The picture are after the second treatment.
