***Updated Wednesday Aug 13, 2025*** James came out to provide my monthly mosquito treatment and asked if I had experienced any issues in between treatments. He gave me his undivided attention, treated the areas of concern, and provided insight on how to monitor said areas to ensure they remained manageable. James remains my go to for my service requests. He brings a positive attitude and is always ready to apply best practices to address my pest control needs. Thank you James!!! Updated Wednesday September 17, 2025 James arrived on time and performed detailed interior and exterior service. Even though he arrived towards the end of a long work day, he was full of cheer and was 100% committed to delivering excellent service. I retain James as my go to service-technician. He has years of service under him and his work quality positively reflects his experience. Whereas some technicians get lazy over time, James maintains a high work ethic. I want to thank Specter for retaining James and allowing him to be my sole provider for extermination services. My home is quieter and more peaceful because his service roots out issues before they become problems. Thank you James!!!! 🥳🎉🎉⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Monday 10-20-25 James came out this morning to spray the front and back yards. He noted that the aerating service we applied to our yards may have caused a short-term increase in insect activity, but it would be balanced by his application of pest control. Like always, he arrived within the pre-agreed timeframe, and answered my questions. James is my go to service technician and he will remain my go to as long as he remains with the company. I am extremely satisfied with his consistency in providing superior service. First experience using a bug service. Sprayed internal and external of home especially spiders, ants, and wasps. Coming back next week after I get yard mowed to spray for Tics and etc. Very pleased. He came back today to spray for mosquitos, tics and such. Very thorough. Thanks Called them back due to discovery of Brown recluse spider. More to come Bryan is very thorough. Thank you once again Once again spectacular service when following up on Brown recluse problems. Unfortunately more were found in traps…. more to come. We will get this taken care of.

Ethan is an informative and competent pest control technician. He’s thorough too. Today he applied a treatment for general insect control, but specifically targeting red wasps, fleas and ticks.

Very thorough and listened to my concerns and took action
The service was quick and easy. Dylan was great and all when as planned.
Ethan , the technician was professional and arrived before the scheduled time. I was notified when he was on his way and he started treating the property. I’m pleased with his performance. He was great ! He kept me informed of arrival time and when he was done. Excellent performance!

James was on time and took care of us. We were out and he informed me of an ant nest by my camper. He took care of it. I don’t even need to be home and I know he’ll take care of us. He is great to work with. I can trust him.

Was told they would only come once a quarter and they started coming once every two weeks. Was told that if I decided to cancel it would be no problem but when I canceled they requested $200. Did not have an actual bug problem until they started to spray and was told if they needed to come back out just shoot them a text. Sent a text and never heard back. When they finally did come out and I asked them to take care of some issues they brushed it off sprayed in two corners of the home and left. If you want a company of crooks then this is the company for you.

I signed up for service with Specter and specifically asked when I signed up if there was a contract or cancelation fee. Their rep told me no, I could cancel at any time. That was a complete lie just to get me to sign up. I had their service from May through August and asked to cancel in September. I was then told I would have to pay a $200 cancelation fee that was never previously disclosed. I specifically asked about this when signing up and was told there was no cancelation fee. Totally unacceptable to pay $200 for absolutely nothing. They weren't willing to waive the fee, despite me telling them I was assured upon signing up there would be no cancelation fees.

The technicians are great, but the billing process is annoying. They start sending texts and emails less than 24 hours after service as if the bill is past due. My contract is up. I will not use them again due to their texts and emails.

My husband hired Specter Pest Control, and while the service itself was fine, it’s impossible to ignore how this company treats its employees. The technician who came to our house was clearly burnt out rushing from job to job with no time to breathe. He even mentioned he’d already been working for over 10 hours, which is completely unreasonable for what should be an 8-hour position. Overbooking might make the company more money, but it’s a terrible look for their reputation. Happy, well-rested employees give better service… unfortunately, Specter seems to have missed that memo. If management thinks running their workers into the ground is a long-term business strategy, they might want to start planning for the day their best employees walk out and their customers follow.

Their service doesn't work, we keep getting bugs and spiders over and over. After the frist service, I called to have them come out again and respray but it still didn't work. A day or two later, I had a large spider web in the corner of one of my doors. Bugs were coming inside my house and crawling along the outside. I then called to cancel because their service wasn't working and they told me to keep calling and I was like for what? It is not working!!!!!! I would have to call constantly and all the time!!!! When the guy told me that they were going to charge me a $200 early cancellation fee, I lost it and started to complain. On top of charging me for a service that didn't work they are now going to charge me $200 to cancel it. What a SCAM!!!!!

I rent a townhome . I called specter to get pest control for spiders . I told them I could not get a quarterly since I will not be living here for 4 more months . The man I spoke with kindly gave me a quote of 150 Instead of a one time 250.00. The first time they were to come , the pest control service man was so late I had to change the appt . When he did come . He sprayed my outdoor and indoor . For about 2 weeks I had no spiders and then they quickly came back . Specter refuses To retreat my home because they gave me a discount . Apparently if I had paid the 250.00 , I’m still not eligible for retreating . So I paid 150 dollars for 2 weeks of a spider free home and they won’t stand behind their product and re service my home . I called them about this and Emily was going to get right back to me , never heard from her . Then I spoke to Joshua , who was kind and agreed with me yesterday that they should retreat for free only today to be a jerk on the phone and tell me his hands were tied . That’s bullshit . Any company worth their salt would re treat my house . Also , the tech sprayed the cabinet filled with my dogs open food bags so that had to be thrown out and re purchased , another 100 bucks ! Do not use this company , it’s a scam . Anyone that won’t stand behind their work shouldn’t be making money off of good people . I’m appalled . I also am not allowed to speak to a manager ! You suck specter ! It also says on the website satisfaction guaranteed or you will fix the problem …… is that only when you feel like it ?

James was super friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Will use this company again. Update from service done on May 2. I originally called them due to ants only on one of my kitchen counters. We got the one time service since we had no other issues. He sprayed some preventive spray around the inside and outside of our home. At 5-6 days later we start seeing ants coming in the front door now (where it was also sprayed). I contacted them and they said give it 7 days and if it continues then I should get the maintenance plan. I've given it over 7 days and the samething is happening. I reached out to the number and I'm waiting to hear back. So does the single plan, you pay more for, spray not work since they want you on the maintenance plan? I'll do another update if I hear back.

I was initially excited to try out this company for pest control this season-and I will say Mitch had fabulous customer service skills on the phone the day I decided to hire this company, however my very first spray was disappointing and unprofessional. The technician, Dalton, seemed very unpleasant and was rude right off the bat when I addressed the areas I was concerned with. I have almost an acre of land and he was in and out and done in maybe less than 5-7 minutes including the brief convos we had. After calling and addressing my experience with the company, they essentially did nothing but apologize on his behalf expecting me to pay for another service without getting a decent full first spray. I cancelled because any other company would have handled that more professionally and made sure you had a more efficient spray before being charged again. If you’re looking for a pest control company, I would recommend mosquito squad, they will happily address any concerns and give you the customer service you deserve.

This company is the worse ever. I had to agree to give my debit card information AND complete an authorization for them to debit my card for "monthly maintenance fees" before they would even come out. Then the appointment time was changed that morning. The technician did not do anything that could verify that there were termites other than say his "knowledge" and he was wouldn't lie and quote $2800 -$3800. He performed no physical exam or showed no signs of termites. He didn't even have a flashlight or tool. However I was promptly CHARGED $100 FOR NOTHING. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. This examination/inspection is certainly a ripoff by this company. I had to send in an email with the following because of the paperwork I signed JUST to get an appointment: I do NOT AUTHORIZE any additional charges to my card and revoke my signature on any forms.

Don’t be fooled by the amount of “good” reviews This company has probably all from Friends family and coworkers. I had the worst experience with them and would NOT recommend at all. Thank God, I have security cameras at my home and was able to see the kind of service they provide the first time around saw how the tech got out his car and in four minutes sprayed only four times the front of the house and left …. Called the company right way same day let them know service was awful they tried to convince me to give him one more shot and send someone else to do the proper spray down for interior and exterior. However no one never contacted me again but they did make sure To draft my account $ 120 for a incomplete service (never did the interior) and a half ass service (on the exterior) Not willing to refund me my money You just don’t do that shit to people Who knows who else is getting this kind of service and not noticing.
