URGENT WARNING: Unauthorized charges and predatory billing practices! I am writing this to warn others: Do not give this company your credit card information. What started as a one-year prepaid lawn service turned into a nightmare. After agreeing to a one-time insect control last fall, they have charged me for additional three unauthorized visits. I had to file a formal dispute with my credit card company, which I won both. However, the situation has escalated: 1. Despite the bank ruling in my favor, the company has continued to harass me with phone calls demanding repayment. They claimed they will keep calling! 2. Today they have charged my credit card again without my authorization! This is no longer a "billing mistake", it is a repeated, intentional bypass of my cancellation and a prior bank dispute. Their lack of integrity and aggressive collection tactics for unauthorized services is unacceptable. I have had to take steps to block them through my bank. Save yourself the stress and find a company that respects its customers and the law!

I would not recommend this company. I hired Green Lawn Fertilizing for a one-time service only in 2023 for a rental property. Despite clearly canceling afterward, they performed unauthorized services in 2024 and again in 2025 without my consent. I personally called their office in both 2024 and 2025 and clearly told them I wanted all services canceled. Even after those calls, they continued to show up anyway. They entered my property and completed work I did not request, then billed me for it. Even worse, the charges were sent to collections for services that were never authorized. In addition, I receive repeated and persistent calls trying to sell or start services at my other properties, even after asking them to stop. The constant unwanted solicitations have been very frustrating. No contract, no permission — yet they keep showing up and charging. Property owners: be very careful. Get everything in writing and monitor your account closely. Extremely frustrating experience.

Avoid this group. We canceled our service and they came to our home and put another treatment on our lawn. They shouldn't have as when we called to cancel they said they wouldn't be out to our home any more. Not only did they put something on our lawn we didn't authorize, they charged us for it. When we called to tell them they shouldn't have and we shouldn't owe them any further $$, we were told 'don't worry about it, I see in our records you canceled and we shouldn't have returned to our home. Disregard the bill we sent you.' So we did. Then we received another bill (nasty tone) telling us to call them. We did and they apparently had no record of us initially canceling our service OR the telephone call where they said disregard the bill. VERY shady. Their records just seem to mysteriously disappear when it benefits them. We were told the owner or manager would call us to talk to us about this and we never heard from anyone. I would give them ZERO stars if I could.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY On 6/2/2025 I contacted Green Lawn Fertilizing for a quote on aeration and overseeding. Customer service provided me with a generic quote of $1200 for the property, and informed me a more accurate quote would be provided after they looked at the property. My intentions were to have the front yard done and another small portion done of the yard, and did not match their generic quote. On 9/26/2025 without my knowledge, authorization and consent, and while I was absent from my home, Green Lawn performed an Aeration and Seeding application to my property, and charged my Green Lawn account $1,279.50. I Immediately called them and asked them why the service was provided, and why there was no notice prior to the service being performed. They informed me the service was completed based off of the quote requested on 6/2/2025, and there was no notice due to an issue with their system. I stated to them that I never agreed or signed a contract to complete the service, and the service they provided was far larger than I intended to have done. I also informed them that they did the service on portions of a neighboring property and charged me for the product used. The company had me email them regarding the issues with the amount of land serviced, and that the owner would contact me to go over any refund or change in service amount. I would receive weekly calls and emails from the company asking for payment, in which I would ask to talk to the owner, the owner never contact me. On 12/30/2025 debt collections contacted me regarding the balance with Green Lawn Fertilizing, I reached out to Green Lawn. Green Lawn informed me that the owner would not be contacting me, and that my debt was sent off to collections. I do not recommend using this company!

My brother got a quote for aeration and over seeding. Mind you this was a quote not a service to be completed. They eventually came out and did the service without approval and sent a bill for 1200$. There was no signed contract and no verbal agreement. This company did not return phone calls and now sent it to collections. This is a very unprofessional company and I reccomend looking elsewhere. Not to even mention the did half the neighbors lawn that isnt even his property. Horrible company and unprofessional owner. Also if your reading this go search BBB and read all the other reviews just like ours.

Green Lawn ruined my lawn. I’ve tried several times to reach out to them to have a manager come out and take a look and analyze the problem and to no avail they keep ignoring my calls. I have documentation I have emails. I have calls be very careful using this company they’re much more expensive than Tru Green and they don’t respond when there’s an issue. In addition, I told them to stop coming out to cancel the service and they keep charging my card for a service when I wasn’t home. Customer Service there is awful. I would never use this company again.

I started my service in spring of 2025. I told the Green Lawn salesman Eddie in the spring that I was planting new grass in my backyard and he advised against chemicals applied to new lawn because he said it would kill new grass. I grew beautiful thriving grass by end of June. On July 25, they sprayed anyway with fertilizer and insect control. Within couple of days, my grass turned brown and by the end of the month it was completely dead. One rep said chinch bugs, another blamed my seed. I checked the seed—it was correct for Pennsylvania. Then the they charged me $300+ to plug and overseed, despite the grass being completely dead and conditions (hot/dry) unsuitable for new seed. No topsoil, covering, or proper remediation was provided. The call center refuses to transfer you to a manager and instead forces you to wait 24–48 hours, which is unacceptable. When I finally spoke to a manager, after "24-48" hours; Operations manager Kris admitted he had no issue acknowledging company fault, but immediately contradicted himself by again blaming the seed—without evidence. He became defensive and talked excessively rather than addressing the issue. In the end, they refunded me but told me we would have to part ways. Terrible company!!!

I typically don’t leave reviews, but my experience with Green Lawn Fertilizing has been so disappointing that I feel compelled to speak up in hopes of finding a resolution. I'd give them zero stars if I could. I moved into a new construction home in February 2024 and have spent the last year and a half working hard to grow thick, healthy grass. I decided to hire Green Lawn Fertilizing in the spring of 2025 to help take it to the next level. Unfortunately, since bringing them on board, my lawn has only gone downhill. On June 11, 2025, a technician came out to perform a treatment. Less than 24 hours later, both my front and back yards were completely yellow. I was told their product had been left out overnight and didn’t mix properly—though it clearly looked like fertilizer burn. It took me two full months of diligent watering and mowing just to nurse the grass back to its original state. During that time, Green Lawn paused all treatments until the lawn recovered. Once the lawn appeared healthy again, they resumed treatments on July 30, 2025. Unfortunately, I wasn’t home to supervise and ensure the product was applied correctly. When I returned from a work trip the next day, I was devastated to find fresh fertilizer burn—again. This is completely unacceptable. Lawn care is their job, and yet they’ve repeatedly damaged mine. I chose to support a local business over a national chain, and I regret it deeply. If you care about your yard, I strongly recommend hiring a more experienced provider like TruGreen or another reputable competitor. At this point, the only acceptable solution would be for Green Lawn to re-sod the entire yard. I’ve lost all trust in their technicians and products, and I’ll be terminating my agreement with them immediately. I reported the most recent issue to Green Lawn on July 31, 2025 and was told I’d hear from a manager—yet here we are, over 48 business hours later, and still no response.

Very disappointed in the service I received. I started my service last summer. Before signing up, when talking to the salesman I had a couple request besides an overall better lawn. First, due to kids I asked for advance notification before any service. I was told that was not a problem. I was notified of the first service and then never received any advanced notification for any service after. Second, I agreed to the seeding but informed the salesman I had to move an irrigation line and would like it done before the seeding. I just needed to know what week they would seed. Once I again I was not notified and they just showed up and seeded. Which meant I then had to have the line moved and reseeded after they seeded my yard. Aside from that, my lawn looks no better then when I maintained it myself. I followed their whole program including the seeding. I cut my own lawn, have irrigation, and followed all recommendations. After a year the pictures show the status of my lawn. The area by the pool is an area they seeded that is pretty much just weeds. The worst part of the grass is what I believe is Dallis grass. I was told by the application technician they could spray for that. However nothing was ever done, nothing noted in the summary, and when I called in June to complain about the service, I was told nothing on my account showed any issue but that they do have a separate program for that. However, the next application, which was a week after the call, was completed with no service for the weed and nothing in my summary about it. In the year I had them I never received any call from the salesman asking how I was doing, and the three conversations I had with the employees ( 2 application technician and 1 office associate) never resulted in my issues being addressed or change in application. Although each individual was pleasant and respectful. Upon cancellation of my service I did receive multiple emails from the company stating they can provide a free consultation and up 100% off my next application. But I declined because I can’t trust anything will be done to correct the issues and I don’t want to risk another year of service with no results.

STAY AWAY!!! This company chemically burned my lawn and technician DAN brushed it off as it being diseased. I had the manager come to my house to confirm it was chemically burned and it was property damage. After the confirmation, they have somehow gone silent and my emails have gone unanswered. I am also tired of them never calling ahead like I requested and ringing my doorbell at 7AM to wake my small kids up!!!
