Cancelled after paying far too much for results that left a lot to be desired. My tech was great, but whatever they use doesn't work that great. I'd have given maybe 2-3 stars, but after cancelling they sent people out twice to walk around my private property with no warning whatsoever. As someone that works from home, that's completely unacceptable for them to do that and set my dogs to barking as I am going into work meetings. Further, it just shows a complete lack of respect for someone's private property. Had they called I'd have had no issue, but I guess becauseI cancelled they feel no need to extend common courtesy. They are not someone I'd do business with again.

I've used TB for recurring pest control for several years and am very happy with the service. For background, I am in the woods, with a wood house so I'm keen to stay on top for prevention. As a customer, I look at TB from 2 angles - the company and the service. The company provides the right tools, training, communications, and logistics. The price is what I'd expect. For service (where the rubber meets the road), my tech Todd is stellar. He is prompt, very professional, takes his time, and has vast entomology knowledge which he shares to "show me what to look for" (which is what I wanted). 5 stars.

Watch out for dishonest bait-and-switch tactics. They will not honor work called out in their own estimates, and will try to push you into additional long-term contracts as a condition of making good on what they already promised We had Phillip come and provide an estimate for a cleanup of our front and back yard. We asked that the estimate include clearing our garden beds, including one that had raspberry bushes, and adding mulch, as well as some other cleanup that was needed. The estimate provided was not cheap, but given the amount of work needed it seemed reasonable. We agreed, and the team from Tomlinson Bomberger came out and did the work. In general, we were happy with the quality of the work done. However, they only cleared 3 of our 4 garden beds. The 4th garden bed got a sprinkling of enough mulch to cover the back 2 feet of the garden (the bed is about 8 feet by 16 feet), they left many weeds in that bed, and none of the raspberry bushes were removed. When we reached out to Phillip, he said that they left the last garden that way because the raspberry bushes would just grow back. He then tried to sell us an annual maintenance contract that involved coming out 6 times a year (automatically renewing each year) to treat all 4 garden beds with herbicides. There was an additional fee on top of that for the initial removal of the raspberry bushes. The total came out to roughly 1/3 of the price of the full original estimate, despite that estimate clearly stating that the garden beds were to be cleared and mulched under the initial cost. It didn't seem like Phillip was even willing to discuss the fact that the estimate also covered mulch, which was not applied as promised. This whole thing seems like a deliberate bait-and-switch. Phillip saw the raspberry bushes when he did the initial walkthrough. We were quite clear at that time that we wanted them removed. There was no mention in the estimate of leaving the bushes. There was mention in the estimate that additional weed control strategies would be necessary to keep the beds free of weeds, and that Tomlinson Bomberger had additional plans that would cover ongoing treatment if we were interested, but it certainly didn't say that some of the described work would not be provided without an additional plan. All in all, the whole thing felt very dishonest and Phillip was completely unapologetic. Clearly, an attempt at getting long term contracts in place was more important than basic honesty.

I have used this company for the past 4 years. I've gotten regular lawn service and my lawn has always looked pristine. I have also used them to help with eliminating yellow jackets and they have done a great job with that as well. This year I stopped my treatments in July due to droughts. However, in October I noticed a grub issue emerged. I called them for treatment and was told that they would arrive on a Monday. However, to my surprise, a tech showed up that Saturday to do the treatment. And looking at the weather I realize that it was supposed to rain on Monday and because the treatment needs water to work they showed up 2 days earlier to get the treatment down. So very impressed with this company and will continue to use them in the future.

One person comes to look at project area another person should come again to look at same area. Why? I don’t know? Finally got someone to call me back. Don't waste your money...nothing they ever do is their fault. I've spent over $10k+ and have the worst yard in my neighborhood by far, but everything is always my fault. Mow to short, blades aren't sharpened....blah, blah, blah! Not to mention the landscape I've paid for and didn't get the weed fabric I paid for. Guess what, they offered me another service to pay for without offering to take care of it. I should honestly file a lawsuit against this company. They only want new business and don't care about long term customers.

Awful. Hired them for pest control. I had them for about a year. The last time they came out to the house without confirming the appointment could only do the front of my house (Which they are supposed to do the whole outside and the whole inside) And still charged me for the whole project… $120. I called and they said that they would forgive the bill but never did and sent it to collections. Would NEVER recommend.

The public spaces have been beautiful for the time I have been living in a subdivision that is serviced by this company and for the most part, I’ve been treated with respect and understanding. However I have had problems, almost from the beginning, with some employees not completely shutting my back gate, and my dogs have gotten out numerous times. I’ve left messages with the HOA, requesting their help and have not received any response from them. Communication has been nonexistent and, therefore, I’m not getting any help with the landscaping company. I have had to deal with people that have been angry and rude to me. I had to deal with an employee yesterday named Bryan who was starting to turn the irrigation water on in my backyard and reacted in an angry manner when I asked him to close my gate as it was standing wide open. I did ask in a sharp tone as I have been trying to fix this very thing for a long time. I tried to agree with his concern about dogs attacking him, but I don’t think he heard a thing I said as he was so angry. I stated that I had locked up the dogs. I asked two times to “Please turn on my irrigation water’”. He stated that he would not turn my water on and to talk to the HOA. He was yelling at me as he slammed my gate closed. This is not the way to give quality customer service. I want to get my water turned on.

We've used Tomlinson Bomberger quite a few times over the past ten years and were always pleased with their work until the recent job they performed for us. I'm not sure what changed within the company but it seems the quality of the work has deteriorated. We were disappointed with the work that was recently performed. They seemed to rush and did return to improve the work but it still wasn't up to the high standard that we have experienced in the past. Bob K. - we miss you. I recently purchased a home in a neighborhood where almost everyone uses Tomlinson Bomberger for their lawn maintenance needs. Unfortunately, the previous owners had not kept up with the landscaping. I contacted Tomlinson Bomberger for a full service estimate. The gentleman who visited our home treated me as if I were complete trash. He said things such as “this place just doesn’t look like it belongs in this neighborhood” and “what a mess”. When I asked him if he would be willing to prepare an estimate he explained that an estimate this large would take a significant amount of time to write up and that he would rather not waste his time or mine. He went on to explain that even if he did write up an estimate it would be very expensive as they are a “high end” landscaper. I felt as if he was insinuating that I would not have the means to pay. I’m attending a neighborhood function this weekend and am interested in finding out if anyone else has had a similar experience. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own backyard!

This review is in regards to their lawn service. I was highly dissatisfied with their service and would not recommend them to anyone. I was looking for a local lawn care service instead of the national companies and decided to give Tomlinson bomberger a try. This was definitely the wrong choice and I should have known better than to go with them when my initial consultation was cancelled because the guy decided to check out my lawn earlier in the day when I wasn't around because he was already in the area. They don't call prior to an application to let you know when the service is scheduled to give you a chance to remove anything from the lawn for the technician. I had some Halloween decorations ruined last year because of this as the fertilizer was spread all over them and stained them. Also beware that they have a minimum price set they charge for their lawn service packages no matter how small your lawn coverage and their prices are much higher than other companies. I had enough after only one year and cancelled the lawn service through them. There are many other local companies who would be a better choice for your lawn care needs.

Update on 6/15/18 from previous review below: I tried to pay my balance for the one time mosquito application online and the message I get is that I do not have an account. I called in to pay and the person that took my credit card information says that there is only one person able to run payments so she just wrote down my credit card information and will run it at a later time. I hope they do not misplace my information. I am going to have to cancel that credit card since at this point I do not trust this company at all. I will make a report about this. Do not recommend. Called this co. since I got a pamphlet in my mailbox was told they didn’t service my area then got a call back saying that they do service my area. I asked about mosquito services was told by Ron the price and frequency and that if I needed a treatment in between I could call and set it up for no additional cost. Not even two weeks after the first application I am in need of another treatment which makes me wonder about the potency of their product. I called to set up an in between treatment and was told by Matt that there is no such thing that Ron “ needs straightened out” since Ron gave me wrong information and that the next treatment won’t be for another 4 to 6 weeks! If I wanted an in between treatment I needed to pay for it. I had also set up a date and time for Ron to come and assess my lawn/tree needs. He never showed up. When I contacted Ron he said he forgot about my appointment. Very disappointed.
