Savatree tream is great! Shane was knowledgeable about my 3 trees on what they needed! The crew Gavin and Ethan did great job! Highly recommend!

UPDATE: STILL trying to get them back to fix the ruts they left in my yard. They did they would come, but always hit me with “We can be there tomorrow” with no time to make sure I can be there, which I insist on. Then, after promising to call me back to actually schedule something that’s not the very next day, I never hear from them. Obviously this is a very low priority to Sav A Tree, who have already been paid. My plan now is to document every phone call to Sav A Tree, for an entire month, after which I’ll have the ruts fixed by someone else, and take Sav A Tree to small claims court for the bill. Meh. Sales-y. Hard to schedule and communicate with. Tore up the yard but can’t fix til Spring. Fine, that makes sense. I asked if I could hold back some of the invoice payment to be sure the work got done in the spring. A manager was supposed to call. I followed up twice without a satisfactory response. They resent invoices with finance charges. Fine. I’m paying those invoices in full, but canceling future kelp treatments. Based on other reviews, I expect that getting my yard fixed this spring will be difficult if not impossible. The actual tree trimming was good. Just be prepared for sales/upsell of treatment, scheduling delays and difficulties, communication issues, and being somewhat ignored regarding invoices or any concerns about clean-up/job completion. They’re on-the-spot and organized when charging you, but not with much else. It’s a corporate cash-grabby organization, so I won’t recommend them. (I did love the arborist, Kevin, and it was ultimately his personality and knowledge that sold me. I understand he’s left the company.)

I had multiple quotes done for my 100ish foot tall green ash as that had an emerald ash bore infestation. Everyone else I had come out wanted to cut every tree on the property and needed a translator to talk to me. SavATree was the first to offer to try treatment but said it probably wouldn't take because the damage was too far. After they gave me a quote I called the local wood mill in Dayton and asked if they could use a large hardwood tree and they said they could pick it up for free. I then called SavATree and they agreed to cut the tree into 12-15 foot sections and leaving the big pieces for the wood mill. They then took a couple of grand off the quote for wood disposal but was still willing to take the small brush. Its rare to find a contractor that will work with you like this and when you find them you keep their number.

SavATree was great to work with, very professional and explained thoroughly what they could do to help us with our tree that was infected and struggling. The care they gave has put our tree back in the direction of healing and hopefully strengthening!

Showed up on time. Worked steadily. Cleaned up everything when done. Very polite crew.

We had 3 trees trimmed on a very cold day. Because our driveway was new, the workers could not use their heavy equipment. They never complained. Trees trimmed as planned; debris removed. Appreciated the work being done during the winter as the trees are stressed. A job well done!

They have been helping us to save our Ash tree for some time and keep our trees trimmed when needed. Always appreciate the work and the input from Sav-a-Tree!

Shane, Ethan and all the crews were incredible in removing some very large and difficult trees without damaging any landscaping. Everyone was very professional...I highly recommend them.

We were initially drawn in by this company by how much we loved the arborist when he came to give us a quote. He was very invested in the health of our existing trees, and made some great recommendations. We ultimately went with them because of him, and their fair pricing. Every single person that came to our property was kind, on time, and did great work. But I ultimately do NOT recommend this company at all because of their terrible administrative staff. I had a terrible experience every single time I had to call them and the arborist that we initially loved, ended up leaving the company. From charges being put on the card before the full service was completed, to having to track them down to have them come finish the stump grinding because they never came back to complete it, to having to call nearly a dozen times to get our initial quote updated to include stump grinding. Overall, I do not recommend this company because of the amount of headache they put me through. If they would find new administrative staff, then I would be able to recommend them. Kevin the arborist that used to be with SavATree, if you read this, please find us so we can work with you again!

Alysha and ger team were very professional. I'm glad John finally understood he must honor a commitment whether it was a bad one or not, take care of your customers.

I have no issues with the work performed. Shane and his crew were knowledgeable and efficient. However, aware of the finance charge added to invoices OVER 30 days, I went to pay the final invoice on the 30th day. Finance charges had already been added and I had no option to pay any amount other that the new total. I emailed about his as well as called. No reply. I was going to simply mail a check, but I will be travelling on business starting with the new year. I went to pay the bill online today including the finance charge against my principal just to get it cleared up. Today, the 35th day, there are even more finance charges. If I had time to spend, I would mail a check for the original amount in a couple of weeks. I do not have spare time and I want this cleared up before the new year. I just simply will not do business with the corporate-scam side of this company again.

I really appreciated the constant communication as to when the technician when be arriving to treat the 10 Ash trees - both reminders and Tom calling before he arrived. He also had a diagram of which trees would be treated.

SavATree did 55% of the work but automatically charged me 100%. I want a refund for the 45% undone. I'm getting the run around now.

I have been using this company since 2014, back when they were Arbor Experts. They did an excellent job saving my tree from the emerald ash borer. They have also taken care of tree trimming and tree removing on my property. Service and customer contact has always been excellent. We recently contracted for over $2,000 of tree trimming work. After the work was completed I was dissatisfied with a tree next to the home as branches were still making contact with the side of the house. I was in formed by the company that they will have Kevin come out and inspect the work so that it can be corrected. Four unanswered emails later to Kevin and five phone calls to the office with a response that Kevin or the office manager will call me to discuss. It has been a month and still no contact. This company has been fantastic in the past, but in the last two months something has happened with their customer service and work performance. I cannot recommend this company anymore.

Update: In response, the account is not in my name, hence you won't find it. We don't think there's anything Savatree can do to make this right now and had made the decision to cancel our other services which is why we decided to post a review. When we discussed some of our concerns with Kevin, we got non-answers about our tree and whether it had even been transplanted correctly. It seems every time Savatree tries to make something right, that it is done in a manner that creates more problems for us. We had problems getting double billed too, when they cut down and replaced the wrong tree. We initially had Savatree plant a few trees and bushes when we first moved into our house roughly five years ago. When we had to replace a tree due to disease roughly two years ago, we went with them based on our previous experience. However, here is where we became very disappointed in our experience. Their crew avoided cutting down the clearly diseased tree and took down another one of a completely different tree family. Savatree offered to make it right by giving cutting down the intended tree and planting a new one of our choice in its stead. We were a little surprised that they decided to do this right before Christmas. We had noticed the tree they had replaced where the tree they should not have cut down was looked odd. My spouse asked Savatree's arborist about it because it looked like it was planted too high/incorrectly but he seemed to go silent and would not respond. Earlier this spring, we noticed this tree has girdling roots. Quickly googling, girdling roots are primarily caused by improper planting/transplanting practices. We had a second arborist come out and he actually thought we or a nursery planted it ourselves instead of Savatree. Now we have to have someone fix the tree and hope it survives because girdling roots will eventually kill the tree. Shame because Savatree was good to use until our recent experience and those deriving from it. You'll want to go elsewhere if you're going to spend close to a thousand dollars for a new tree install.

Honestly the worst service ever . They give you deal and price for removing the whole tree with roots but they only cut the tree .. then they asked to do good review to take off 50$ I will never recommend them , most of the good review you see , just because they discounted 50$ then you ending paying 500$ to clean their mess

I was just eating at a restaurant and 4 of your employees were eating there too. One of them spilled an entire cup of beverage and they all just sat there laughing. We finally told the restaurant staff who cleaned it up. Not a single one of your employees (wearing your company shirts!) thanked the staff or apologized!! I find this very rude and disrespectful! SHAME ON THEM!! And BAD BAD PR for your company!!!
