Top Turf aeration and seeding performed September 2025 has had very negative impact to my lawn. To start although I flagged all my sprinkler heads 3 of the heads with flags were runover during aeration. The seeding was heavily distributed in all my flower beds which are now full of grass. The seed used produced a significant amount of Poa Annua. This is causing me a lot of unplanned work. I have sent 2 emails and 1 phone call to Top Turf with Zero responses. I am pleased with Top Turf lawn treatments but will not use their aeration / seeding in the future

Driver destroyed my property, and I wasn't even a customer. Dead sod was brought out to "fi" the ruts the driver left in my yard. Owner will not fix, leaving me with a damaged yard. Update the owner now refuses to fix the damage done to my property. Sod that was placed on the damage, as shown in the pictures , wasn't placed properly and was dead upon placement. Would not recommend.

We understand your frustration and want to clarify the situation. The sod that was installed was healthy at the time of placement, but unfortunately, it was not properly maintained afterward, which led to its current condition. That said, we are committed to making things right. We already have a plan in place to come back out in September and aerate and seed the damaged area at no cost to you in order to help restore your yard.
I was going to be a mew customer to Top turf. Called top turf last week to schedule aeration and over seeding. Spoke with Jean he was more than helpful explaining the process of what they do. He also explained the treatment plan they do which I was really wanting to get my yard the help it needed. I locked in a time for them to come on Oct 7. Unfortunately nobody ever showed up to treat my yard. We called around 5 on Oct. 7 to ask if anyone was going to come out to treat the yard. We were told Top Turf was going to reach out to the technician to see where they were and they would call us back. We never received a call back. I called top turf this morning and spoke with Yolanda to explain nobody showed up to aerate and seed. She said the earliest the could get me on schedule would be Friday. I told them that is unacceptable they should come out today since they missed it yesterday. I also did not receive an explanation as to why my yard was missed. They did not try to rectify the missed treatment or keep my business in anyway. Beware before booking.

I have to replace my old review with this 1 star review. The service has Really gone down hill over the past two years. My lawn looks horrible again this summer and they don't respond to service requests. Their service is not worth the money and my lawn looked much better when I was treating it myself. It was sod but now it's nothing but weeds.

Unfortunately, service seems to be going downhill in the South Charlotte region. Not entirely sure what has changed as of late, but service and communication is awful. I have received zero feedback or suggestions to address the several bare spots throughout my lawn. And by several, I mean nearly 10 different areas. I have attached a photo just to show one area. There is no way a customer of yours for 5+ years should have any bare spots like this, or at least been provided suggestions on how to remedy. I think it is time to make a change at this point.

The service started out good but eventually went downhill. Whoever would show up would spend 5 minutes or less on the property and cover maybe 50% of the property with the product being put down. Weeds present at the time of the visit would not get treated and would remain. What finally made me cancel was the technician leaving my gate unlocked so my 3 dogs got out and I had to search for them. They’re luckily none of them got hit by a car since I live on a busy street. TopTurf isn’t really doing anything special to your lawn, you’re better off taking care of it yourself to know the job is done right.

I cancelled them after giving them a shot of a season- generally, they are nice people. They reached back out to get me back on and I was considering it but I told them I did not agree with their price- this was all through text, a girl named Anna. She explained how that’s the lowest price she could do based on my yard size. I then asked her what that size was and she responded she did not have it… well, now we know top turf is throwing random contract prices out. I decided to tell her I did not want to move forward with it and to take me out of her list of customers and data to reach out. Guess what happened? Immediately get a call from Tom. I did not want to answer it so he left a voicemail saying “Anna told you me you were interested” which is obviously not the case but I am sure they were going to offer me a lower price. I can always appreciate a sales force. A customer may pay what the company says they cost but at the very least, come up with a real cost chart or something that can explain why you are charging what you are charging rather than a size of a lawn you don’t even know. I think they do average work and I am looking to get average work, for an average price. So any of you reading this can tell me which company I can go to- please feel free to reach out because I am in the market for a company with a little bit of integrity.

DO NOT USE- Sort the REVIEWS by the lowest ratings you will see multiple customers complaining about fraudulent practices, demands for more money aka shake downs this company is a bunch of thugs! This company is attempting to extort money from me despite my repeated calls and written notices to cancel their outrageous service. Their products are not only ineffective but also cause harm. I’ve recorded a message reiterating my request to cancel, yet I keep receiving emails from someone named Chad insisting the service will continue. I will dispute all charges as fraudulent and have formally notified them not to trespass on my private property.

Top Turf has been a nightmare. They said they would treat my lawn througout the year, but kept asking me to pay for additional treatments. Then they seeded my lawn a month ago and left off about 20% of my front yard. I called them back and they returned about two weeks later to fix it. They came out and even though I pointed out what exactly the problem was, they still didn't seed it. Finally, I called a third time and they skipped my appointment. The level of incompetence is astounding. I strongly recommend against using this service. Update: For future reference, they didn't actually contact me per their response.

And here we are again its my fault though for trusting them. Bottom line dont let them get you back with a low quote. I guess they dont know homes have cameras. Tech never did the back and side of my home as the cameras say otherwise. HORRIBLE, and this is not the first time. I decided to give them another chance but now I'm done. Hired them to aerate and from the looks of it they spent every bit of two seconds doing the job. When I called to voice my concern Yolanda proceeds to tell me maybe the ground was too hard. Not only did it rain the previous day but I also ran the irrigation for 50 minutes. I have an area the grass has died, I'm convinced from them spilling their chemicals in the past and I took pictures that show ZERO passes with Aerator. I have it clearly marked for a sprinkler head. DON'T waste your time and money. Supposedly they will be back on Friday to fix it. Once it is I will be discontinuing my service with them. Not to mention I was told they don't do clean up. So the dirt/plugs on side walk are for you to clean up. If I'm paying for someone to aerate, then Im not expecting to clean up. I'm paying for a service to make my property beautiful not to create more work for me to do. Only getting one star because i could not post without at least one.
