I hired Armstrong Home Inspections for a buyer home inspection in St. Louis. Gary Roark was my home inspector and he did a great job. He arrived on time, was friendly, and explained everything in simple terms. We walked the whole house together. He checked the roof, attic, foundation, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. I also added radon testing and a termite inspection so everything was handled by one company. That night I received a clear report with photos and easy notes. It helped me ask for repairs before closing and gave me peace of mind. Gary answered every question and shared helpful tips for taking care of the home. Gary is amazing is I wouldn’t use any other Home Inspector but him. He is truly knowledgeable in what he does. He also has no problem talking and explaining things as he’s doing the home inspection. Gary will always be my go to. He is also very reliable when needed. I cannot thank him enough.

I too used this company and was frauded. Inspection was done in February and my paperwork said all doors worked, they did not. I had to replace both front and back. How did I miss? I thought they were being gentlemen by holding door open for me. Paperwork said air conditioning should be good another 3 to 5 years. Lies. How did I not catch? Inspector said because it was too cold, he couldn't run or else it could damage it. Turns out the fins were smashed, probably by seller who did power wash. How did the Inspector not catch this!! Since the home had 2 units, I had to quickly replace both. His argument was I had a dog that did it. Nope, no dogs. Kids? Nope, no kids. Maintenance. Nope, maintenance doesn't enter unless I allow and I didn't. Shoddy report and work. BUYER BEWARE.

Gary did the home inspection on the house we were purchasing. I was present during the process and the only thing he mentioned was outlets not grounded. I should have asked more questions. We moved in and the day we closed we noticed the oven didn't work, forcing us to buy a new one. We had the chimney cleaned and inspected to prepare for winter. We were told it was not safe to use which was confirmedby a 2nd company. Total cost to repair was going to cost $5,400. We upgraded our thermostat only to find out it wasn't wire correctly and was told that the way the furnace was vented wasn't up to code. We were also told that the "Inspector" should have caught it. I would think twice before hiring Armstrong Home Inspection. I contacted Gary about our chimney issue and he said he would look at the report. Guess what.....He never called back. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

Gary was incredibly thorough in his inspection and allowed us to walk through with him. He was very willing to answer any questions we had, which made us feel very secure as clueless first time home buyers. It was clear he had our best interests in mind. Highly recommend!
