Twin Cities Bug Guy

He saved us anywhere from $4-10k, no joke. We have been with Orkin since 2024. They did a home inspection and found "evidence" of mice activity. They quoted us 4k for basement sealing and 2k for replacing the insulation in the basement that's "contaminated". And we need to redo our attic insulation too (which was like another anywhere from 3-10k with asbestos testing, abatement, then insulation) I called the Bug Guy for a second opinion. He came out same day, was shocked at our quote and did an inspection. Turns out, our evidence was old mice activity from a while back. No new mice activity. Not at all. Plus, every attic is similar to ours in st paul. We have a house that's over 100 years old. He recommends we don't do the attic. So we paid nothing. And now we've canceled our pest control services with Orkin and switch over to the Bug Guy.

Devin was extremely helpful. We had a rat pop up through a toilet in one of our bathrooms. It frightened us terribly. Devin responded quickly and came the same morning. We managed to trap the rat in the bathroom and eventually kill and remove it. Devin had to come back multiple times and did this willingly. I would highly recommend him.

Set an appointment for bed bug infestation and Devin came, examined, showed me where they were hiding and what the eggs looked like. He checked all the mattresses and sprayed everything for me. Such a life saver, he does amazing work and he saved me a lot of money! I wholeheartedly recommend him, he does great work!!!

We booked a same-day consultation with concern for mice in our attic. Devin came out and spent around an hour crawling through our attic and examining the exterior of our house. After finding maybe one potential entry point (which we could seal ourselves) and no evidence of critters in the attic, he recommended against setting traps ("it would probably be a waste of your money") and didn't even charge us for the consultation! Based on our experience, I recommend this company as honest, reliable, and affordable.

I highly recommend Twin Cities Bug Guy. Like other houses in the area, we experienced unwanted mice inside periodically. We've gotten away by previously setting up traps, catching a few and not having issues for a while but they always seem to come back every few months. This summer the mouse encounters really ramped up so I decided to turn to the pros. I gathered a short list of recommendations after a thorough search in the trusty neighborhood FB group and ultimately went with Devin at TCBG because he is a local small business owner, and his rate was the most competitive. Devon was absolutely wonderful! I would highly recommend his service to anyone. It was so easy to set up the appointment online and he was at my house 20 minutes after I set up the appointment. He took care of the two large paper wasp nests that I had on my roof awning, and then sprayed extra powder to make sure that they don’t come back. He was incredibly courteous and patient with all my questions. I will definitely be using his service for any other bug or rodent related problems at my house.

I was hearing clicking in my walls while I sat in my office. It was making me anxious because I thought it was carpenter ants eating through the wood. I called several pest control places and realized I didn't want to commit to contracts or multiple visits, plus no one could come sooner than 11 days. Then late at night, I came across The Bug Guy's 80+ 5 star reviews and a website which allowed me to book an appointment for the next morning. When Devin arrived, he quickly assessed that it was wasps in my walls and not carpenter ants. He dusted the nest, confirmed that was the only location, and gave me clear instructions about follow-up (call if I still saw them 3 days later, caulk the hole) and then asked about another issue I'd mentioned when I booked--mice coming in my basement. He showed me where/how to look for holes, located 4 of them, and told me the easy DIY to take care of the problem. He didn't charge for the mouse advice and the wasp dusting was very reasonable. He is so knowledgeable and gave me a great education about wasps. The clicking is gone and I'm very happy with everything about my experience with The Bug Guy!
