Absolute Landscaping

We originally contacted Absolute Landscaping to get a quote on removing two large trees & install a cedar fence across the back of our yard. Robert came out within 24 hours and gave us an incredibly reasonable quote. We were quoted on a Tuesday, and by Friday, his crew began removing the tree. The large trees were removed, stumps were grinded, and the new fence was all installed in a matter of 4 days. Within those 4 days, I inquired about the company removing a THIRD large tree & smoothing a large mound in our backyard to lay a brick walkway by our backdoor. Robert & his team removed that third tree & grinded the stump in under two hours, and the mound was completely smoothed with a brick path laid before I got home that same evening. These guys are incredibly efficient and reliable. My yard looks amazing!! We cannot recommend Absolute Landscaping enough!!

Absolute landscaping cleared out my overgrown backyard after my home purchase. They were super knowledgeable about what grows best. Now my backyard is a flourishing oasis! I wouldn’t hire anyone else!

Poor customer service.

We hired absolute last year for a clear out. For $800, they cleared absolutely everything… neglected trees, overgrown weeds, poison ivy, you name it. And we were finally ready to garden and enjoy our yard. This year, we hired them to trim the mulberry tree, which was also great work that brought air flow and sunlight back to our crowded yard. The only mistake they made was not warning us that the garden below the tree crown would be in peril, and that it was our job to protect it. As a result, we lost nearly all our creeping Jenny and several struggling hostas which took a beating in this process, during extreme heat and drought… almost none of it survived. I called and explained the situation, and sent them before and after pictures. They explained that they should have warned us, apologized, and came came out three times to plant 21 creeping Jenny plants for us, no questions asked. I was impressed that they were so willing to resolve the mistake, and am looking forward to seeing the new creeping Jenny trail back to her full glory over the coming months. Thankful that the company lives up to a good community standard, takes care when things go wrong, and values trust in their services. Will call them again when we need help.

The Absolute Landscaping staff is always responsive, and they always do a great job in our beautiful yard at our vacation home in Uptown New Orleans. We have been using their services for many years!

This company's team demonstrated unsafe work practices while butchering my trees, then argued about finishing the job. I had another company out, and they pointed out and explained all of the mistakes made by Absolute's team. I am very unhappy with the quality of work, the condition in which my property was left after "finishing" the job, and the concern placed on not damaging my property. They also cut into my powerline with a chainsaw while unsafely using a ladder. Not cool. I will say that the owner, Robert, is very polite. I really wanted to give him another chance to make it right. I just cannot after meeting with an ISA certified arborist. Still the "Absolute" worst.

I received several different quotes from this company. All very much inflated. Just for them to cut the grass at my property they said the yard had to be leveled and graded because it was not a completely flat surface. There are some minor dips in the backyard so it is not 100 percent flat. The estimate for just leveling was over $2,000. I found an individual grass cutter not listed online to cut my grass for $50 per cut instead of using Absolute Landscaping Company. Also if you read the fine print on the contracts for Absolute Landscaping it is a hassle to cancel a contract with them after signing. So glad I did not use them. Many good landscapers are in the New Orleans area but are not listed on the internet. Absolute Landscaping is an absolute rip-off.

Jake worked with me when we have to move the planned project times. The team came out and was able to facilitate the work and a change order on the materials needed last minute! Great team and great value!

I called to get someone to come out for an estimate on sodding, landscaping, fencing, and pergola installation. I was told I am outside their service area. "A true New Orleans business" that doesn't do business in all of New Orleans.

I was very impressed when I called to inquire about a extensive sub drainage system as well as sod installation and a representative Jake came out on the same day. He was very professional and sent me an estimate shortly thereafter. Once the job was started they came essentially everyday until the job was completed. Jake remained very available the entire time and was easily accessible by his mobile phone. He would then follow through on what we discussed. The work crew was very professional and respectful. As far as all the work done, I am very happy. I would highly recommend there company!

Does not appear to care about securing a client and stubborn about work time versus completing the job right and making a client happy. Crew calls a front yard a flower bed and refused to edge or clean leaves despite the contract stating so. Left the job unfinished, charged my card without my permission for work complete and no one responded during the day to make sure everything was done right. Disappointing.

Met with Absolute yesterday regarding landscape grading work we will need post-construction on a studio that should be completed in a few months. He reviewed site and we discussed needs and plans, though there was no opinion to shoot grade before doing the work, because he could eyeball grading needed. Perhaps so?? I was told Absolute would try to send quote over straight away and the person gave me his cell phone number to reach him and told me, if quote accepted, not to send deposit until two weeks before I needed the work. I awoke this morning to an email from the same person saying Absolute too busy to do job but to keep them in mind for future work. Really? Totally unprofessional. Would not recommend.

I hired this company and did not have a good experience. While being out of town, which I had told them and therefor trusted them, they did not take good care of my lawn and garden. I was shocked when I came back! If you can not supervise the workers they send, do not hire them!

Beware of this company! I was ignored after I tried to call and file a complaint about water from the subsurface drainage install not draining properly and all of the water is not exiting on to the street. I have to scoop out the water in the exit box out to the street. Awful company because they make sure that they take your money first and then ignore you if you file a complaint because they don't provide a guarantee on their work.
