Up until Friday I was a customer of Spidexx. I was on the quarterly plan and had service for over 9 years. Out of the 9 years, they came into my house to sprayed 3 times. Due to them texting the night prior to give notice of appointment. Not enough time to rearrange a work schedule. They sprayed the outside and I never had any real issues that lead me to being their customer again. Originally had black tiny ants coming into my house. I received a text on 22 February saying they would be there monday. (No times giving). I called first thing Monday and said I wasnt going to be at my house and I would call to reschedule at a later date. Also was going to be out of town for an extended period of time. We just had a huge snow storm and I saw no point in spraying 8 inches plus of snow around my house. 1 week goes by and I didn't reschedule. By the second week I am getting 3-4 phone calls and emails from them to reschedule. I dont answer as I told them I would call them. 2 weeks go by and same deal. On March 20th I receive the most outrageous discourteous and asinine email I've ever received from a company. (See photo) basically says after numerous failed attempts they scheduled an appointment and to find out date and time i have to call them. This comes off highly unprofessional and since an appointment leads to a service charge, it comes off as an attempt at extortion. I promptly emailed back said I will no longer be a customer and only to contact me via email to ensure they acknowledge I'm no longer a customer. They did within 5 minutes. This company needs to rethink their approach to customer service. Start by giving clear dates and times at least a week out. If a customer says thry will reschedule with you stop spamming them numerous times a week. Also never email an email that comes across as an extorionist email to a customer.

The guys that come out and do the work are all great and do their job well. The problem is the products they are given do not work. We had an ant infestation and had multiple treatments through spidexx and none of them writhed. Months later we treated it ourselves with our own product and the wants were gone by the next day.

Spidexx has been a Godsend for us after our move to Grimes. We have experienced very stubborn wasps as well as spiders, and ants. Spidexx has managed all three for us and made it possible for us to sit on our patio in comfort.

We haven’t had an experience! Haven’t seen anyone had it for 3 months never knock on the door or been in side , they place some bate boxes outside I still have mice and I’m still getting a bill , not happy at all

Terrible company who doesn’t take responsibility for mistakes their technicians make. Technician left my dog gate open during a service call, which led to my dog escaping and a “dog at large” fine and citation. “Jeff” from the Urbandale, IA office doesn’t believe they had any fault in my dog getting out and the legal fine/fees that occurred even though they are the ones that left the gate open. You’d think after having an account with them for over 3 years they’d try to write their wrong, but they wouldn’t even admit they did any wrong… Jeff actually said, “we won’t accept any blame.” How do you have zero blame when you left a dog gate open? They also conveniently lost or didn’t receive the technician review I gave them stating the issue I had. Company has zero accountability for their actions. If they make a mistake it’ll be your fault and you’ll be left paying for any and all of the damages. Edit: The owner says they appreciate long standing relationships but they clearly don’t… how can you say that when you won’t work with a long standing customer on a problem you caused? I notified them of my issue right away and they are still using that as an excuse to not own up or take responsibility for their employees actions. Poor leadership all around.

I’m really sorry to hear about the stressful situation with your dog and the citation you received. We truly understand how upsetting that would be for any pet owner.<br><br>Had we been made aware of this right when it happened, we would have immediately looked into it and addressed it the same day. Because we weren’t notified until nearly a month later, we’re unable to confirm what occurred or determine whether our team was at fault. For that reason, we’re not able to take responsibility for the citation.<br><br>We appreciate your long-standing relationship with us over the years, and we’re sorry this experience left you feeling unheard.
Sales Rep came around- seemingly a nice guy. We had an active contract with Aptive at the time, but the fees/payments were a bit cheaper through Spidexx & the information given to us sounded good- so my husband and I decided we would sign the agreement ONLY if we did not have an early cancellation fee with Aptive. The sales rep assured us, over & over again, that Aptive doesn’t have early cancellation fees…..he “used to work for them.” & if we did end up with a cancellation fee, Spidexx would take care of it. So, we went forward with the agreement with Spidexx. A couple days later, my husband went to cancel our account with Aptive and sure enough- we were charged $200 to cancel. They gave us a form to send to Aptive to help cover the cost of cancellation- it didn’t do anything. & truly, I haven’t really noticed a difference with our bugs. They’re actually a bigger issue now than what we had when we used Aptive.

As a person who works from home, door to door solicitation is very frustrating and distracting. It is even more frustrating when the solicitor rings the doorbell several times. After the multiple rings I stopped my call and answered the door thinking it was important. Nope, a Spidexx salesman. I said I was not interested and that I was on a call. He continued to ask me who does our pest control because we had ants everywhere. I know who we won’t use if we need it.

They showed up to my house and lied telling us out neighbors had them come out. They also lied and told us we could try it out and make an appointment for $69. He had us sign on a pen pad with NO DOCUMENTS to read. Stated we were signing for the service to be provided and to be charged the fee for the service on Wednesday. We proceeded to get an email stating that we signed for a SUBSCRIPTION service of $69 a month all year. A complete scam and lies for no reason. We have a dog and were excited to try a service that would offer a pesticide free way to handle bugs. Canceled immediately and left a bad taste in my mouth. Lost a customer unfortunately.

Stay Away from Spidexx! Here is my experience. A sales rep came to me on a hoverboad/segway while I was out on the driveway with my family. I generally do my research before getting any service but the service he explained made sense to me for a new construction but price was steep. The sales rep agreed to give me a DISCOUNT on the initial service (not their regular but a more basic treatment) so I agreed to get the initial service with the condition that I will get on their quarterly service plan only if I see good results and they have to call me to start the plan. He made me sign an agreement (on a shiny iPad under full sun) that later I regretted and my trust on all at-the-door sales people is permanently lost even if they boast as a locally owned business. My trouble started as soon as I signed that agreemnt. The Sales Rep scheduled initial service and later then moved due to bad weather (Service guy came and went back asking me to call to reschedule). The new date/time was not honored and a service team just appeared the day before when I was in the middle of a meeting. My wife let them in. They did indoors and left without doing outside. They told my wife that rain was coming so exterior would be done another day (Did they not know that 15 mins ago when they started indoors treatment?). Another guy appeared on a random day to do the exterior. We didn’t get a chance to see what they did or didn’t. Clearly they don’t care about customer preference of schedules even if they agreed to it. They put a few sticky cards around the around house, couple of those plastic traps and sprayed something outside. There was no change in bug activity outside even after 2 weeks, forcing me to spray on my own. I could have called them but at this time I already lost trust on them. Reason: poor business conduct + ineffective service. A month later I saw a charge on my credit card and when I called them they said I had signed up for a FULL YEAR of FULL PEST & RODENT control. I clearly didn’t sign up for anything. When asked to cancel, the billing person said I would be charged $289 as early cancellation fee and that it accounted for that that initial DISCOUNT I got when I SIGNED that agreement. I felt cheated and duped. After a lot of pleading, the billing person agreed to waive the early termination fee minus the charge that I already got on my credit card. I am feeling relieved that I am out of their trap but feeling defrauded by Spidexx for a charge for no reason (according to them the AGREEMENT).

A young man arrived at my home,gave me a sales pitch to treat yard and 4 foot spray protection up side of house. Sounded good. He asked for my credit card info. I said no, I'll pay in cash or pay in office. He said he would take 300 dollars off cost per application. 365 down to 65 dollars. I said I'd go to pay at office, he told me the wouldn't accept his deal. I'd have to pay full price. Asked him why he could offer the price but office wouldn't. He said give him my credit number and it would only be used at time of application. If that's how a company would allow employees make deals from a employee driving a scooter,and have to have credit card info, and wouldn't take cash. And couldn't accept payments or honor there own salesman's offer, is not one I will use.

After a homeowner declines service, does the door-to-door salesperson leave a note associated with the address in the system for other team members to see? We have now had 3 different individuals (in the last WEEK) try to sell us on your services. Each time the conversation has been the same. “No thank you. We already have a trusted friend/pest control company we use.” If there isn’t a system put in place currently, there needs to be!

Called them, they came out and sprayed, problem came back a week later, they had a complementary come back and spray next week. Problem is still there. Wasps and cicada killers. I give up calling them. Shouldn’t take 3+ sprays to rid things from the outside of my house. They obviously miss things if the sprays are supposed to kill and make wasps not want to come back. Not worth the $300 it cost me. Really feel like I should be given a refund since I had to climb up and remove 11 wasps nest of varying size myself since they did not.
