I have been a customer of Janssen for almost 13 years. I have had offers to change companies but why would I? They are professional, kind, and great at handling maintenance to keep my home free from unwanted guests, as well as taking care of the yellow jackets that were determined to take over my yard. Ed and Craig are great, and every one else I’ve interacted with has been so helpful. I confidently give them 5 stars and give them as a referral to anyone who asks.

After reading all of these positive reviews, I was hopeful that Janssen Pest Solutions could help with my wasp issue. However, that hasn't been the case. When I initially requested a quote I was told services would start at $189 as flying insects are difficult to treat. I explained that we knew exactly where the wasps were nesting and could direct whoever came out for the service and went ahead and booked. When their employee arrived, he was a young man who was unable to answer any of our questions. We showed him the hole in our soffits where the wasps were nesting and let him go to work. He ended up spraying around our entire house and hardly got the one place we requested. Because he sprayed the entire house our bill came out to $350 (I understand its a quote with some flexibility but that's insane.) The worst part is the wasps never fully went away. We called the company to try and work something out and were told it would be $100 to have someone come out and spray again. When we explained our situation the customer service representative (she was very nice) spoke with the GM who said we could join in a monthly service for rodents and insects - which we obviously declined. We were also told we had a 30 day warranty, that had already expired, if the initial spray didn't work which the young employee never told us about. All in all, disappointed with the service and lack of ownership for poor quality work.

We are sorry that you were not happy on the outcome of our service for your home. However, we would like to explain a little further about the service. When our technician arrived, on July 7th, 2023 he talked over the options for treatment and it was decided that a one time treatment was what you preferred. Mr. Sabo signed a "One Time Agreement" which states that there is a 30 day warranty period for a one time service and Mr. Sabo was apprised of the warranty time frame. Your concern was wasps and our technician was on your property from 3:20 pm until 4:26 pm treating and knocking down wasp nests. We cannot always knock down every nest but we do treat them, if they are left up. That way the wasps come into contact with our product as they fly in and out of the nest. You did have quite a few nests and it does take time and product and there is also the chance that the technician could be stung when doing this type of service, hence the price reflects the quantity and the time it takes to complete treatment. We did not hear back from you until this week, which was 60 days after the first treatment. We explained that the warranty period had expired by 30 days, which Mr. Sabo even brought up to our office personal when he called in. We offered to have you start our program that covers wasps and 30 other pests and waive the initial fee since you had paid for the wasp treatment 60 days ago. You did decline that offer. Again, we are very sorry that you were unhappy, as we do appreciate our customers. As with any service company there is a warranty time period, and we would have honored that had we been notified of an issue within that time frame.
Guy came out. Looked around. Took a flashlight to look for droppings, found few. Quoted me a price with ‘ no guarantees ‘ then got a box 📦 of mouse baits that you can get from Walmart put them in various corners then left. 6 days later I’m still hearing mice….. don’t spend the money. Lesson learned.

We are very sorry if you are not happy with the service you received. Please call us and let us see what we can do for you. Our rodent stations are commercial grade and use restricted use bait. Our technicians are trained to put rodent stations where the rodents will travel, as mice are creatures of habit and use pheromones. If you do not have a Service Agreement with us, unfortunately, we cannot offer a warranty. Again, Please call us and we will see what can be done. Thank you.

Mr. Woolsey, we are sorry for the misunderstanding as we have no record of a written cancellation. Therefore, your card was charged. We have refunded your money even though we do not have the said cancellation. This could have been resolved in a professional and courteous manner had you just called and asked us. The profane and inappropriate voicemail you left was totally unacceptable. Consider your service cancelled.
Janssen damaged my home and refuse to do anything about it never would I recommend them to anyone
Someone from Janssen Pest Solutions recently (last week) attempted to provide a service to a family member and rather than helping them they indicated that they were crazy and that they needed to go see a doctor. This family member is elderly and was just trying to seek help with her situation. I'm not sure how important customer service is at your business, but I don't think that's how you treat seniors. Now she is scared to call to report the situation because of retaliation. Hopefully someone reviewing the site will reach out to figure out who this representative of Janssen Pest Solutions was.

Worst customer service ever! The rep that came argued with me about whether I even had wasps. I didn't go to pest school but I did pull a stinger out of my arm a few nights ago sooo? Would not recommend, would not use. The wasps were more pleasant than the rep you sent.

Don’t use this company. They over promise and under deliver. They do mediocre work and don’t stand behind their promises. There were many things they said they would do, and didn’t. They took my money, I still have a problem and they want to charge me more. Do not trust these people!

They are a horrible company to go through my job had to have them come they didn't look through the house well then they schedulesd 3 weeks out and then the guy who came out was bad mouthing other companies. Very unprofessional. Then the day of the didn't show up we have tried calling them from 8 am till 10 am and still no answer!!!!! Not happy with this company at all and do not recommend them!!!!

My wife and I bought a house a few months ago. When we moved in, we started receiving bug bites overnight. At first, we thought that they were bedbugs from the previous owners as we had never had them before. We had yet to see a single insect or cause for the bites. We called Janssen Pest Solutions who came out and took a look, they didn't find anything, bed bugs or other insects, they couldn't even find traces of any bugs. They left and we waiting a few more days while my wife received 3 or more big, red, swelling bug bites each night until my 2 year old daughter started getting them as well. Once again, we called Janssen Pest Solutions. They came out and, once again, didn't find anything in the entire house. I asked them to keep looking as we were clearly getting bit by something. Eventually, they found out that the ENTIRE HOUSE was infested from fleas (from the previous owners as we don't have any pets at all.) We paid a reasonable $160 to have them treat the house for fleas, followed their instructions to vacuum 3 times daily, to wash all of our bedding once a day and our sheets twice a week. A few weeks later, we were still getting bit. We called AGAIN, Janssen sent out a pest control guy who looked at the house, advised he would spray again for free, and asked us to leave. We returned home and it's been a week and a half since they sprayed a SECOND time and we are still getting bit. My wife's legs and back are full of bug bites, my 2 year old daughter has several bites on her back and legs. We will NOT be returning to Janssen again. Not only did they not do their jobs and find the cause of the bites the first time, but they STILL have not gotten rid of them after "treating" the house twice.

Thank you for your feed back Chris, we certainly understand and empathize with your situation. We have been working with you and your family for a few weeks now to find the solution to your issue. We conducted a through bed bug inspection as well as pest inspection and found some fleas. We went ahead and treated for the fleas. The treatment incorporated both audulticide and insect birth regulators that help control fleas and prevents them from reproducing. The vacuuming is required to "wake up" the puppa that are deep in the carpet fibers so that they can interact with the products that were applied to the treated surfaces. This does take some time for these products to work and eliminate the flea population. There may be other factors beside the fleas that are causing the biting symptoms as well. Its my understanding that only your wife and daughter are receiving bites and you are not. Fleas do not discriminate and will bite any host that is close. It is important to consider that there are a number of factors that might contribute to the "biting symptoms". These can include reactions to dust or dust mites, reactions to detergents, lotions, soaps, and cleaners as well as a number of other environmental conditions. We are more then happy to continue to help you and your family find the solution to this. Please contact our office to schedule a free follow up inspection.
