Diamond Lawns was one of the most frustrating service experiences I’ve ever had. Between August 21 and September 23, 2025, I contacted them five separate times — asking for clarification on coverage, reporting ongoing ant problems, and following up when no one ever showed up. Each message was professional and documented, yet none of my concerns were ever addressed. Then, on September 23, I received an email saying my account had been “off their radar since August 26.” That’s despite weeks of unanswered messages. They had already confirmed in writing that my account was closed, paid in full, and that no further billing or services would occur. Fast forward to October 14, 2025, and they withdrew $50.74 from my account without authorization — weeks after confirming there were no active services or payment methods on file. I gave this company every opportunity to communicate honestly and make things right, but their internal disorganization and lack of accountability speak volumes. If you decide to use them, document everything, get every promise in writing, and watch your billing closely.

Had an unprofessional door to door salesman come to my home and not leave no matter how many times I told him we aren't interested, have a nice day. He made remarks such as "according to the look on my wife's face, we weren't going to use him", "treat him like a human" while i asked him to please leave, and after me telling him we aren't interested at least half a dozen times and that if I'd purchase something it'd be online that "his 2000 customers would disagree with being solicited to at home". Can't speak to your service, but your salespeople can do better.

Worst experience I've had with lawn and gardening company. Hired them to take care of the lawn and garden while out of town. Paid them to check and make sure sprinklers are up and running and schedule set for the summer season. Came back to a bunch of nearly dead grass and plants and garden full of weeds. Got a sprinkler company to come out and check it right away and he confirmed it wasn't turned on. It had gone without water until mid July. I've been struggling since to revive the garden and lawn. More success with lawn than the plants so far but hopeful. Weeded the garden beds myself and had a huge pile and have spent a lot of time trying to get them killed off and finally ahead of it. I think the only thing they did right is mow the yard but that was mostly pointless since it was so dry it wasn't growing anyway. Would not use them again.

We chose Diamond Lawns to do over 5000.00 worth of work to be done. The first time they came out, they sent someone that they subcontracted from who came and damaged sprinklers, the fence, the cement, etc. So after calling them back and talking to the manager, they sent their own people that work for them to come fix the damage and also put barrier down in the front and in the back not to have weeds among other things. There work was so bad that for the third time we had to call and send pictures of all the weeds coming up through the barrier, which the manager came back out, said they would be fixed and sprayed due to warranty. They are paid in full!! They never have responded after they came out. I would never use this business again or give them a referral to anyone. This is the worst landscaping job I have ever seen , their work has cost me so much money and now I am paying to have it sprayed and weeded by someone else. Please do not use this company $5000 is a lot of money. There are many other qualified landscaping companies in Meridian that would do a way better job . I definitely will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Had them out to do an aeration, didn’t feel like their machine did. A good job. We noticed large sections with no plugs. Real issue is they bumped a pole that had bistro lights on it, and did it hard enough for a strand to become unhooked, it fell and two bulbs got broken. The worker did tell me about it and offered to take a few bucks off of the invoice (just $5, not enough to cover it). The real kicker is that NONE of the glass was cleaned up. My one year old son crawls around outside, and thankfully I noticed just before he got his hands all cut up from the glass. Won’t be using them again.

Response from Diamond Lawns

I'm sorry Becca for your bad experience with Diamond lawns. The last thing we want to do is put kids or anyone else in harms way. We will do better and learn from your feed back.

A salesman came to my door selling pest control services. He gave the big pitch on ridding my property of all of the mice that come with new construction and how they would be a problem for as long as the surrounding fields are being built on. He explained how a mint spray would be applied around the perimeter of my home, to chase mice away from the house. Then bait boxes would be placed all around the exterior of my house. Additionally, they would check inside my crawl space, because of all of the mouse activity in the neighborhood, in addition to placing a powder into the spaces between bathroom cabinets and the wall where water pipes are run. He explained how important it was to treat those areas, so that pests cannot enter my home. Well, the technicians showed up this morning (an hour earlier than the scheduled window of time…wasn’t a big deal, because I was home), but when I inquired about them checking out my crawl space and the treatments in my bathroom cabinets I was told they don’t want to enter my home unless I’m currently having issues with bugs in those spaces. When I inquired about the mouse treatment I was told they weren’t here to provide treatment for mice. In fact they didn’t know anything about a mint spray. I was told that my work order did not include anything for mouse treatment, they were here to spray for spiders only. I was told that if I start having issues with mice they can then come back and place bait boxes. I pressed for the bait boxes, as promised during the sales contact, as preventative treatment. The technician then agreed to place one bait box in my garage, but not the boxes placed around the outside my house as was promised during the sales contact. The only reason I agreed on this service was for the preventative rodent treatment. Dummy me…again the victim of the ole “bait and switch” sales tactic. I do want to include in this review that the technicians who provided the service were very polite.

Update 2 at the bottom. I originally selected Diamond Lawns because of their high reviews and seemingly comprehensive approach to lawn care (trees, grass, etc.). We have also never touched our sprinkler settings and only had Diamond Lawns turn off, turn on, and adjust settings. They are priced relatively high compared to other similar businesses in the area. We have a new build and I wanted to ensure our yard was nice. Hundreds of dollars on average each month, it should be perfect right? Fast forward after a full year (actually, two summer seasons later, and it looks like hot garbage: brown/tan/dead spots everywhere, dying shrubs, etc. In fact, I am pretty sure they did not even put the little sign in the yard after a certain point because it looks so bad. We mow per their recommendations (1-2 times per week) and on their recommended height setting. We have also had many service calls for them expressing our concern with the appearance of the yard. They have sent out sprinkler techs, lawn techs, etc. They actually charged additional money for the sprinkler guy to come out when they are the only ones to ever have touched our sprinkler/irrigation settings. Why should I have to pay an extra $50 for your guy to come fix his work? Easily over a thousand dollars spent, why would I pay extra for anything for you to come fix your own work. For one of the service calls, I had mentioned a dying shrub (last year) and they didn’t call me back for almost 6 months. They stated that the request had got lost or was stuck to some other paper. Yes, that shrub died. I excused this as an easily made mistake. Again, premium service right? ...edit for space... We do have a dog, but the dog only is allowed in the back yard, so it is not nitrogen burn from the urine in the front yard. This entire post is only in reference to our front yard, as I take full blame for any spotting in our back yard (due to having a dog). As I stated, multiple “service” calls and they end up diagnosing us with “fungus” and apply treatments, prescribe extra manual watering, etc. Fast forward 2-3 months and the yard looks worse. Come to find out that many neighbors are having issues with cinch bugs and once they applied pesticides for this little pest, their yards improved. How could Diamond Lawns not have some sort of quality control mechanism in place? Or at a minimum...have their service techs report up lawn issues? (Even though I did call multiple times). For this “premium” service to not catch this and allow for a yard to get into this type of condition after a year of “comprehensive” care, it is inexcusable. I will be cancelling service on Monday and seeking a partial refund. Please avoid this business, do the lawn treatment yourself or book another lawn care business. The only positive aspect of the experience is they have an easy payment gateway. I would say that the service/front desk lady was polite and kind, but she is grumpy/short at times. So at least they are sort of professional? If I could give them .5 stars I would. Update 01: A Diamond Lawns Representative stopped by my house today to apologize for my experience and ask if there was anything they could do.while he was kind and this was a nice gesture... I had already chatted with multiple people on the phone at Diamond Lawns and they all refused any sort of a refund. And follow-up service calls/assessments/adjustments were previously charged. Also, many other missed opportunities. I lost confidence of any potential for improving things. Update 02: Ultimately, they cited the lawn issues as being the homeowners’(my) fault. Certain details around me declining certain services were incorrect/false. Diamond Lawns citing that the primary issue was likely a lack of watering, it being a new lawn (it’s 2 years old), damage from hot sidewalks, etc. They left out the fact that they misdiagnosed the issues. I have had multiple assessments by other professionals, and the issues are actually: extremely compact soil, Bill bugs (“cinch” bugs), and fungus.

I called on a Monday to get my sprinklers blown out. Both are fed by the house hose with no valves to turn off. They grabbed my info, told me they were busy and they would call me back. Showed up the next day, no call or anything and left a $55 invoice. Very unprofessional and terrible service. I never agreed to any price. When I called there was no good explanation of why this happened or how they could make this right. Said they would drop price to $40. In the past I've paid at most $25. Would not recommend this company to anyone if this is what they do to generate money.

My wife called diamond lawns and scheduled an on site consultation for landscaping at our new home that is currently being constructed. We set up a time at 6:00pm on 08/11/16 to meet with a diamond lawns representative, I took off work early, my wife drove in from south Nampa (25 min drive for her) only to sit and sit waiting for the rep that never showed up. We didn't get a call saying they were running late or that they were cancelling, so my wife called and left a message explaining that we had waited nearly 30 minutes and that we would love to know why the consult didn't happen. Diamond lawns never called to even apologize. What an absolutely disgraceful way to run a business and treat another human being, let alone a customer.

Response from Diamond Lawns

Hi Jarod,

I called your wife and apologized for missing the appointment. Somehow it didn't show up on my calendar (probably user error). My sincerest apology and this was my completely my fault.

I always used and trusted Diamond Lawns. That is until this year. They told me my valve was broken and they could not turn on my water. This is a $750 repair because it is so labor intensive. I watered by hand on my own for the last two months. My son was in the process of creating a make-shift sprinkler system that would hook up to my hose when he decided to check the valve. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. My water is on and my sprinklers work just fine. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. Make sure you get a second opinion before believing Diamond Lawns. They had every intention of ripping me off with an unneeded repair.
