Had Evan come out to treat for wood termites. He spent a considerable amount of time treating the rafters in the attic. Then drilled some holes into entry points in the ceiling of a bedroom. Which was treated and then used caulking to close the holes. He was professional and really knew what he was doing. I would recommend him and would request him again should I need help with pest contol.

Mark came out today and treated our home, in which we recently purchased. We had been misinformed during the sale process that the home had been fully treated for termites, but in reality, only a few rooms had received spot treatments, Upon inspection, several other rooms were found with active infestations and damage that had built up over the years. Mark treated the affected areas and provided very detailed information on what we can do to repair the old damage and prevent new problems from getting out of control. I appreciate the time he spent treating the areas thoroughly explaining both past and future treatments needed.

I really wanted to feel confident and protected using Safer Home Services, but unfortunately, my experience left me disappointed and frustrated. The initial home inspection was under 10 minutes and limited to just one room—despite my questions and concerns, the inspector didn’t seem interested in addressing them or helping me feel informed. Instead, it felt like I was being pushed into a fast decision, not a thoughtful one. When a tech did return, he claimed to have treated the whole home but was only inside for about 15 minutes. He then sat in his car on the property for over an hour—this happened more than once. When I asked about specific rooms, he flat-out lied about where he’d been. Bugs continued showing up in different areas, and I’m still left self-treating. For what I paid, I expected a thorough, trustworthy service. Instead, I’m left feeling scammed.

We switched to Safer Home Services as we were unhappy with our prior pest control company and Safer advertises using methods that are safer for people and pets. (We have several cats and dogs in our home.) The technicians involved in the initial inspection, quote, and eventual treatment were very informative and professional. We paid this business over 700.00 dollars and we STILL have roaches in our house. They are crawling in our dishwasher after MONTHS of service. I will be reporting them to the appropriate authorities. I want my money back.

I have to say that i normally don't do this unless i think its needed. I hired safer home services in December of 2019 and everything seemed to be going great. The staff seemed to be personable and the technician they sent out gave me the lowest possible price for my bed bug issue after confirming himself that i had a problem. I had consulted 2 companies prior to deciding on this company who both confirmed i indeed had a bed bug problem!!!! So beginning January of 2020 they stopped doing follow ups "As promised". I had to be the one to call and the technician Matthew began getting an attitude every time he came out to my home. They finally collectively decided to send a team out to inspect and allegedly found nothing. After that they set traps out in the 2 bedrooms only, waited about 5 days, and again allegedly found nothing! We were still getting bit i had said and Matthew suggested i see a dermatologist!!!!! Minutes later the owner called me after Matthew left my home and claimed that Matthew said "i never had a bed bug problem to begin with"! The owner was very insistent on that fact even though he never came out to my home himself. At that point i demanded my money back since the issue was not solved . i am still furious the technician Matthew got away with lying to cover his own behind!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to express your opinion. Respectfully, we disagree with your opinion that you have bed bugs. Our technician Matthew inspected your home at your request on 12/6/2019 and did not find any evidence of bed bugs - no live bed bugs, no dead bed bugs, no caste skins, and no staining - all signs and evidence that professionals use to confirm a bed bug problem. Matthew did find German roaches during his inspection and you purchased our Once-A-Year Pest Control to eliminate the German roaches and other household pests. Matthew performed a follow-up service for the German roaches on 12/11/2019 and again on 12/19/2019, 12/27/2019, 1/9/2020, 1/22/2020 and on each of these appointments you continued to tell Matthew you were being bitten by something and on each of these appointments, Matthew did not find any evidence of bed bugs.<br>On 2/21/2020, Matthew requested a tech assist from our Corporate Service Manager, R. J. Hyatt. At your request, they disassembled your bed - and found zero evidence of bed bugs. You then told them it must be in your son's bedroom so they disassembled his bed as well - and found zero evidence of bed bugs. Matthew conducted two addition follow-up appointments, on 2/24/2020 and 2/29/2020 to discuss with you the many other possible causes of skin irritation that could be mistaken for bed bug bites. I did speak with you by phone after discussing your situation with both Matthew and R.J. Hyatt and agreed to issue you a 100% refund, which we did on 3/2/2020. A total disaster all the way around. I contacted Safer Home Services (SHS) to conduct a WDO inspection last week. The inspector showed up on time but was quick to make a comment 'there's no way I would buy this house.. it's in a law suit'. Definitely an inappropriate comment to make with buyer and seller inside the house. As it turned out, he was illiterate since the sign said 'In Law Suite'. He spent about 40 min on the inspection and chatted with the seller for about 15 min. Then he said 'ok who's paying'. That was the extent of his explanation. I asked if there were any active termites in the home, and he indicated to me and the other 2 home inspectors and the 2 agents that while there was evidence of past termite damage, there was nothing active. He said everything would be in the report. Later that day, I got a 1 page report with zero photos and zero description of any specific termite damage, but there was a comment on the report that the home 'needed to be sprayed for live active termites'. This was odd since the check box for live active termites was NOT checked. So I emailed SHS to seek clarification and they said it was their duty to report live termites. I said fine, but where are the termites and why was that info not included in their report. SHS then sent me an email response with a rough description of three different locations (none of this info was in the report). Still no photos. At that point, I complained to SHS that their report was terrible and inaccurate, and after I received no response within a few hours I demanded my money back. Then SHS tried to get into a turf battle with my agency because it was indicated that SHS falsified the findings between the on-site inspection and the report. SHS went as far as to say that either I or my agency was guilty of slander. Totally unprofessional, inaccurate, appalling and unnecessary.. given the fact their inspection report contradicted itself and there were numerous people present at the property who heard the misrepresentation of the facts. The next day, the company gave me my money back and offered to send a manager out to the property to conduct an advanced inspection with a Termatrac detector for free. I accepted the offer which I perceived be genuine, but explained I needed the inspection done within 5 days before the end of the inspection period. SHS company thanked me for opportunity to make things right and said they would get back with me ASAP. Except they didn't get back with me at all. After 2 days of waiting on a response I contacted them again (2 days before the end of the inspection period), but they said they were too busy and didn't have any availability. What a nightmare! Except for refunding my money and wasting my time, my experience with this company was a complete and utter disaster.

This is Jim Swayne, owner of Safer Home Services. Today, as soon as we learned Mr. Hasse had concerns about our fumigation crew, our General Manager, Chris Caliendo called him. Chris had previously met with Mr. Hasse on 12/5 while going through the Fumigation Preparations Checklist with him. There are many hazards possible when performing a structural fumation and every company that performs fumigation uses a similar checklist. Mr. Hasse was upset and wouldn't allow Chris to carry on a conversation and after a few minutes he hung up on Chris.<br><br>Chris called me and reported what had occurred. I called Mr. Hasse and got his voicemail. He just called me back and was also very argumentative with me, even though I was calling out of concern and simply wanted to address his concerns.<br><br>Regarding the 1 Star Google review on Key Fumigation, Inc., that review was flagged by the company. They haven't done business as Key Fumigation since 2013 when they re-structured. They have been Key 2 Pest Control since that time and have a A+ Better Business Bureau rating. Key 2 Pest Control is a wholesale fumigation company operating as the fumigation division for a group of quality pest & termite control companies, including Safer Home Services. Key 2 Pest Control is one of the best fumigation companies in Florida and have successfully performed hundreds of fumigations for our company and our customers.<br><br>I assured Mr. Hasse Safer Home Services will ensure a successful fumigation of his home.

Found them on home advisor. The manager Jim was very nice and helpful. Staff was personable. They sent a sales person out within the week to look at the pest and take a sample back with them. Robert did a walk through and found nothing on the surfaces. The day after Robert came out I gave him a call, he was sorry to inform me we had "scabies". This was only going off of a sample I gave them of the pest. They put it under a microscope and compared it to a 'key' I guess it looked most similar to a scabies mite so they assumed that's what it was. However this is not a scabies mite.. I briefed the story of how I found 2 dead rats and flies. I also gave a sample to my vet tech friend who identified the pest as a rat mite. Needless to say. This service was not something I would NOT use in the future or refer out to anyone! I'm disappointed with the lack of thorough identification with all facts included. Although the consultation was of no charge. It was a waste of time. Re: since your visit here. I also visited a Dr who assumed the mite was from a scabies mite. I've hugged touched given handshakes shared blankets with tons of people who all do not have any mites or skin infections afterwards. I also informed your expert of the flies I found in my house and dead rats and mice I found on my property. Now I'm smelling dead mice and hearing mice inside of the walls. I recently found a huge number of these same mites under my kitchen sink on bottles and trash bag boxes. (Scabies mites are only on the host yousaid) which makes sense because that's where I hear the mice and smell the stinge. Scabies mites are transferred from wet towels, fabrics or skin to skin contact and go with you everywhere you go. They are also always itchy and you need a prescription cream to get rid of them. The mites that I'm dealing with only seem to find me when I enter my home and bite occasionally. They aren't tunneling or planting eggs on me. GOOGLE is sometimes best. Thank you for coming out and taking the time to identify, however your identification was incorrect. Overall you have great communication skills and customer service but I would recommend taking all facts and information into consideration before identifying a pest primarily based on your "key". Thank you again. I just want to give my experience. Nothing personal against you. Maybe take it as constructive criticism. It's been months. Never used permethrin cream and do not have anymore bites .... Because WE MOVED. our rental home had rats between the walls. Numbers must have been insane because RAT MITES we're pouring out daily from under the kitchen sink cabinet. Glad I figured it out and used cheap alcohol to treat my problem on my own!!

You originally called us because you were convinced you had bird mites because a friend of a friend identified a pest you had found as such. We sent an experienced technician, at no charge to you, who brought back a sample of a mite you gave to him, which I identified as an human itch mite also known as a scabies mite. I have 32 years experience in the pest identification and control industry. My identification was not a guess or an assumption. I spoke with you after our technician's inspection and recommended you see a dermatologist as pest control treatment of the premises is not necessary or recommended as this mite only lives on it's host and is transmitted person to person.
