Seasonal pest pressure across Alaska
Cold winters with heavy snow limit outdoor pest activity but drive rodents, cockroaches, and other pests indoors for extended periods. Peak season typically runs May through September.
Spring
As snow melts, carpenter ants and wasps emerge from dormancy — inspect eaves and wood structures.
Summer
Short but intense pest season; treat yards early and keep up with mosquito prevention.
Fall
Fall invasions happen fast — seal the home before the first hard freeze.
Winter
Long winters mean months of indoor rodent pressure; use bait stations and traps proactively.
What to verify before you hire in Alaska

Good questions to ask
- What treatment method will you use for my specific pest issue?
- How many visits are included, and what happens if pests return?
- Are there preparation or re-entry instructions for my household?
- Can you provide proof of licensing, insurance, and guarantee terms?

To respond to their response, I initially was quoted on Wednesday, 6 days later they still hadn’t showed up other than to quote it. When I originally spoke to Jerry he made it seem like they were out doing work and could get to it in a day or two. Then they made excuse after excuse about why they couldn’t get it done. They should at least honor what was originally quoted since it was a result of them taking forever that I had to clear the debris from my walkway and driveway. I short Google sear

The original quote of $1500 was to cut down 4 big stems (clump of trees) and also clean up the one fallen stem. That was Thursday, first day of snow storm. Over the weekend the rest of the tree fell down. Client decided to cut up the fallen trees himself and piled them up in a big mess on the road.
I'm told Tall Trees might not be the cheapest around town but I definitely got great value for what I paid. Mike gave us the quote and, once the proposal was accepted, they gave us a schedule, reminded us near the time, turned up promptly and just got on with it. Benjamin and his team came out to do the work of clearing a very overgrown garden, drop three trees, and cut back a lot of pernicious growth like raspberry bushes. For the work they're capable of, this was extremely basic stuff no doub
I am very pleased with the services performed by Varmint Gone to rid our home of squirrels that were entering our attic . Keith came and looked at our home and emailed a bid within 24 hours. Once I accepted and signed the bid proposal an appointment was made to do the work. He and Jacob installed protective wire meshing under ALL the eves of the house and set up a one way door to let the squirrels leave the attic. After a few days, when the squirrels were out, Keith returned to clean up and
I highly recommend AAA Tree Service. I called them during the first wind storm Dec 7, 2025. We had 2 trees removed from our roof and a cluster of 10 trees resting on the fence and trees in the backyard. Devin and his crew worked fast and safely removed the trees. Fast forward to the 2nd wind event Dec 13, 2025. More trees were in danger of hitting the house and fence. They came out and removed the trees, then came back on Sunday to cut the trees to smaller sections and stack all in one area
Devin and his team are honest, fair and reliable. Had two trees fall from this 90+mph wind storm into the neighbors driveway blocking them in. Was called to come out and take a look. Due to helping out anyone else they saw in need along the way out of the kindness and compassion they show, it took them longer than they stated to come out. When they arrived at my house they were very apologetic it took them so long and made quick work of two very large cottonwoods. Will be calling Devin and his t
I have so much appreciation for AAA tree service! Devon is a rockstar! I needed help for the craziest situation of my cat getting stuck high up in a huge spruce tree - the age old cat stuck in a tree story - it was very stressful trying to find help to get him down- he was stuck in torrential downpours and now hot sun. I called almost every tree service and understandably they already had their crews out for the day but Devon thankfully has a wide spread crew and did not hesitate to send someone

Thank you!
We had a hornets nest under our deck, located in a tricky area next to our front door. This allowed hornets to enter our home. I called Eagle Pest Control on a Sunday evening, about 10 o’clock. Expecting to just leave a message, the owner actually answered my call. He said he could help us. Realizing the importance of this situation, he got his worker here by Monday morning. When Lee arrived, he quickly sized up the situation. He determined where the nest was and solved our problem. 2 weeks out

It was our pleasure to help out with this wasps next.<br>They are Dangerous so glad we could get rid of them !
I was abandoned by another pest control service, and Eagle came to my rescue. Randy received my call and sent Lee to conduct the service just 3 days following. Lee was very straightforward and suggested that the outdoor bait boxes the other provider was scheduled to install were not really the best solution for us. Instead, Lee inspected the house and confirmed that we had no infestation. He then installed proper indoor bait boxes in the garage, crawlspace, and in the kitchen to protect agains
