Mike Post the Owner of Tall Trees is a Man of Honor and Integrity I have Done business with Mike and you can count on Him and Tall Trees to do the right thing 100 percent . Thanks Mike.
Everyone throughout the process was friendly and enjoyable to work with.
Their staff went above and beyond to get some trees in a tight space removed from our property. Corey was awesome at his job and confident because he knew what he is doing. We had called two other companies in town who weren’t as friendly or knowledgeable, by the time Cory arrived and assessed the situation. We knew we had the right person. We were able to turn some of our trees into fire wood and grind the stumps on all of them to extend our garden. Highly recommended Tall Trees!
5 stars all around—wonderful crew, professional and courteous. Thank you for cleaning up, and our acre of yard looks fantastic, like it just came out of a barber shop!
We would like to thank the crew of Jesse, Chad and Joseph for taking care of our precarious broken trees after the wind storm that occurred this past Saturday night. Thank you very much for your quick response. By Wednesday, everything was taken care of.
Tall Trees recently removed a tree from our backyard. I must admit they did a good job. The crew cleaned up the debris and left the area looking good. But as they dragged the remains through our side yard the tree parts hit and destroyed some plants I had sitting in large pots. But today the owner called with an apology and that was all I wanted. I would recommend Tall Trees because they care.
Response from Tall Trees
We are glad that you are happy with the work done and again apologize for the damage to the plants. We thrive to do an excellent job and always try to make it right if something happens. Thank you for your positive review. We value and care for our customers- and their trees :)
Mike, Jerry and Audrey with Tall Trees have been so helpful for our company RBAM this winter with tree removal and snow/ice dam removal! Their communication has been great and they've received compliments from a number homeowners within the HOA's we manage.
Tall trees cleared our roof of snow today. The workers were meticulous and they cleared most of our deck as well. The price was quite reasonable for the amount of work they did. Thank you and I would highly recommend you to others.
To respond to their response, I initially was quoted on Wednesday, 6 days later they still hadn’t showed up other than to quote it. When I originally spoke to Jerry he made it seem like they were out doing work and could get to it in a day or two. Then they made excuse after excuse about why they couldn’t get it done. They should at least honor what was originally quoted since it was a result of them taking forever that I had to clear the debris from my walkway and driveway. I short Google search resulted in someone who removed the debris for 1/3 their quote. Thanks guys! I don’t even know where to start these guys screwed me and are the definition of unprofessional. After a snow storm I had a tree fall in my front yard. The estimator Jerry came out and quoted $1500 and change to remove the debris and cut down the remaining portion of the tree. 2 days later they haven’t shown up the rest of the tree falls. I call to let them know that the scope of the work has changed since it’s just a debris removal job now. The estimator comes back 2 days later after everything is buried and tells me the only way he can quote is at $425 per hour.
Response from Tall Trees
The original quote of $1500 was to cut down 4 big stems (clump of trees) and also clean up the one fallen stem. That was Thursday, first day of snow storm. Over the weekend the rest of the tree fell down. Client decided to cut up the fallen trees himself and piled them up in a big mess on the road. We told him clean-up would be an hourly rate as we were now dealing with a big tangled mess of branches snowed-in and piled up together. Client was extremely upset we couldn't do the clean-up that day (Monday) despite the fact there was no way to bring chippers on the roads due to the ongoing snow storm. We explained that we have been busy non-stop removing hazard trees off of streets, trees on houses, on cars and across driveways and clean-up jobs would have to wait. It is unfortunate the client is upset but we can't make the impossible happen. The roads are currently not drivable for chip trucks and chippers, for us and every other tree service in town. We cannot control the weather, or the road conditions...
I wish I could give them 0 stars. We called them to remove a tree that fell during the snowstorm. Someone showed up, moved a few branches off the road (by hand, no tools), and told me he would return later to remove the rest. He stated that they were prioritizing larger jobs, trees that had fallen on houses, etc, which was understandable. They never called us back, never returned, and never updated us until three days later when they called to notify us that we owed them $300 for the 30 minutes of "work." They initially quoted us that the entire job would be $700, so as you can understand, we were shocked at the $300 bill. We paid them, but we have learned our lesson and we will NEVER call them again.
Response from Tall Trees
We are sorry that you feel $300 is too much for someone to come remove your tree fallen into the road... You did call us for emergency help during a snow storm and we were quick to come help you that same day. That is 0 star?
We met with you onsite and gave you a quote and you told us to do it. One of our guys spent over 30mn with a chainsaw removing the tree off the road.
We have been extremely busy trying to help dozens of people who needed help during the storm. To get back to you 3 days later (including a weekend...) to talk about cleanup is not unreasonable given the circumstances. Our workers are taking great risks every day to help, braving the storm and driving in unsafe conditions. If you felt that the price was unreasonable you could have just declined. It is unfair for you to accept the estimate, gladly take the emergency help and then publicly complain...
They were wonderful! Very professional ! We had a small mishap and my fire pit was broken . In two days they were at my door with a new fire pit ! Amazing ! I would highly recommend their services!
I mean honestly a price of 450 dollars and hour is a smack in the face. What a joke, let’s take advantage of the working class cause we can and want to. 450 an hour
Response from Tall Trees
I am not sure who you are and where you pulled this number from but that is not our hourly rate... However when you want to judge a business hourly rate please consider whether it is just for one person (such as your electrician) or for a crew with equipment. In our case we typically have a 3 men crew along with 1 or 2 chiptrucks or bucket truck, a chipper, a loader, many chainsaws, and many risks involved, etc. For us the "working class" includes our employees who are well compensated. We do offer FREE estimates so you are never going to pay more than what you are willing :)
I’ve trimmed my trees for years. At this fair price, I’ll be using this team for years to come! Professional response and swift to arrive for an estimate. I believe the estimate was in my email prior to him leaving. Showed up a few days later and worked extremely efficient. Not even a branch was left for me to pick up
Response from Tall Trees
Thank you so much! We appreciate our repeat customers and thrive to do an excellent job every time.
Professional and a good supply.
Great Service. They worked with our parking constraints to get the work done with out disrupting the parking at our business. Super easy and friendly to deal with.
I'm told Tall Trees might not be the cheapest around town but I definitely got great value for what I paid. Mike gave us the quote and, once the proposal was accepted, they gave us a schedule, reminded us near the time, turned up promptly and just got on with it. Benjamin and his team came out to do the work of clearing a very overgrown garden, drop three trees, and cut back a lot of pernicious growth like raspberry bushes. For the work they're capable of, this was extremely basic stuff no doubt, but they still did a great job. Stumping still to do at this point but I see no reason to hold off in giving Tall Trees a 5 star review. Originally meant to drop two trees in the back, but Benjamin pointed out one was a very healthy (and potentially beautiful) Swedish Aspen that would flourish when the other tree was gone, so we agreed to let it stay. They found a second Aspen sapling and replanted it for me. I just liked that about them. They came into make things better, not just to follow the brief, and I appreciated that. All of them were friendly, courteous and clearly knew their business. Very thorough clean up afterwards, too. Unconditionally recommend Tall Trees. Not got a bad thing to say about them.
I had a tree break in a windstorm and get hung up in the spruce nearby, creating a hazardous situation for my household (and also for the fence below it!). Mike came out right away to look at it, he had a quote to me in a matter of minutes, and his crew came out the same day. The tree was taken down safely and efficiently and the guys were extremely friendly and professional. Definitely a great experience with what could have been a much worse situation! I highly recommend Tall Trees.
This review is not about their service, but about the individual driving the white Chevrolet truck, LDE 988 license plate, at 30 miles an hour through a school zone while it’s raining, and children were on both sides of Lake Otis. Based of their inability to care about children, especially in a school zone, they will never have my business!
Response from Tall Trees
Tracy,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. The employee responsible has been reprimanded and we had a company wide meeting to remind everyone that school is back in session and the yellow flashing lights are there for good cause. I have 5 children myself and many of the companies employees have children so I can assure you that we care about children. I am grateful for your reminder so future mistakes of this nature can be averted, have a great day.

Mike Post
Very professional crew, organized and fair pricing
Quick response with questions about older trees.

I can't tell you anything about Tall Trees other than they employ/did employ what I would consider an extremely poor quality arborist. When I use the term "arborist" going forward I use it to describe a person claiming to be an arborist but one that did not know what a boundary tree is. The "arborist" employed by Tall Trees didn't know a boundary tree when he looked at one, not a very good recommendation for the company. Our neighbor a few years back had the property line surveyed because he wanted to build a fence. He told us he would like to cut down the tree but the tree was a boundary tree. A couple of months later he hired Tall Trees to come out and cut the tree in spite of it being a boundary tree. My wife and I happened to be home. We went out and told the "arborist" they could not cut the tree because it was a boundary tree. The "arborist" told us that HE was an arborist and that tree was NOT a boundary tree. I told the questionable "arborist" that part of the tree trunk is on our side of the property line and by legal definition that makes the tree a boundary tree, something any real arborist should know. It mattered none to the "arborist". He said he had a work order to cut the tree and was going to cut it. I promptly got a lawn chair and sat down under the tree. He told me I couldn't sit there. I told him it was my yard and I can sit wherever I want to. I saved the boundary tree from being cut by the "very knowledgeable arborist". So if you hire Tall Trees, beware of the guy that calls himself an arborist. He is either not adequately trained to know what a boundary tree is or worse he doesn't care. And it's possible Tall Trees may not care for all I know. After all, they hired the guy. I would give the "arborist" a -10 rating because 1. he didn't know what a boundary tree was and 2. he planned to cut the tree without bothering to try to find out if it was a boundary tree. In my opinion he either did not know or thought he could bluff me into thinking he knew. Once the tree is cut it can't be glued back on the trunk. Either way I would advise everyone to not assume this guy knows what he is talking about. One has to wonder why any company concerned about their reputation would hire an "arborist" like this guy. This review is based on my personal experience with Tall Trees and the "arborist" and my opinions about them. I would advise caution.
Work was good, timing sucked. Work was done well and on-site workers were professional. However, I noticed communication/scheduling issues between management and employees/contractors. Employees/contractors missed both scheduled days and had to be rescheduled. For the rescheduled tree removal, Monday at 1:00 pm turned into a surprise Monday at 8:00 am much to our neighbors' chagrin. Later that week for stump removal turned into next week when I called to see when they would get around to it. First job in the morning turned into nearly noon. It felt like the management/front desk was scheduling appointments without confirming with the employees/contractors that it would be possible to accomplish those jobs. At no time were there any phone calls BEFORE they were going to miss a scheduled job saying they would have to re-schedule. Poor customer service in regards to communication and poor business communication practices. I cannot recommend to others. I would have paid $200 more for punctual service and better communication. Next time I guess I will just not with this company.
Tall Trees did a great job removing the tree that had fell on our house during a wind storm. They responded quickly and it took an hour for them to remove the tree from the house. They were not able to clean up or cut up the tree due to the number of people that needed help as well. They were very nice however I have a hard time with being charged $900 for this especially when I found out that a friend had two very large trees on their cars and paid $600 to have them removed and cut up and cleaned the yard (they used Affordable tree removal)......
