These guys are a scam, at least for rodent extermination. I used them a few years ago to help get rid of some mice in our garage. They literally just came and set up a few cheap-looking traps (I'm guessing that cost them maybe a few bucks) and left and charged me $400. They said they would "come back periodically" to check on the traps. They came back once over a one-year period. DO NOT use them. I would recommend literally anyone else over them.

If I could give you negative stars I would. We have tried to cancel our account several times to no avail. We moved six months ago and we are still getting billed. I have been on hold for lengthy periods of time which was a waste of my time because it got me nowhere closer to the desired outcome.

I had a very disappointing experience with Hawx Pest Control, specifically with a sales representative named Nate Frandsen. During the interaction, I felt pressured and uncomfortable. The sales approach came across as aggressive and dismissive rather than informative. Instead of focusing on educating me about the service, the conversation felt fear-based and pushy. When I expressed hesitation, my concerns weren’t respected, and I felt talked down to. Because of this experience, I would not recommend working with this company. I’m sorry, these people are awful. Especially Nate, he spoke down to me and made me feel like an idiot after I declined service. I do not need this attitude from someone who is asking money from me

Dropping down my review to 1. The service is difficult to cancel, they keep trying to charge you for one more month even after you requested cancellation on phone and they have notes on files. I wouldn't recommend or work with them again. Been with than for 1.5 years and this is the kind of treatment they provide customers. Very disappointed. They incentivize you to leave a 5 start review to throw in a small bonus for the service tech. This is how they have so many 5 star reviews. The admin team on the phone has been unpleasant to deal with. Looking down the reviews this seems to be a common theme and scam of them delaying to cancel and then keep overcharging you.

They go inside and outside of your home. You can call them to come back if you need anything else done that might have got missed

Awful experience. Their sales rep over sold what services they actually provide. He pointed at wasp nest high up near our roof and said they could help then when technicians got here they said they can only reach where their poles reach which is only 20ft. And they cant use ladders. Also, we had many wasp nests in bushes and when I was showing them the technician said they don't spray in neighborhoods/townhouse with HOA's. Yet another service I thought I was paying for and didn't get. When I called to cancel they would not waive the extremely high termination fee (equivalent of 4 months of service fees) even though they mislead what services they were able to provide. Don't work with them! I am sure there are much better companies to work with.

If I could give a no star, I would. I got locked in on a 2 year contract and they have been terrible. Everytime they were scheduled to come, they would change the appointment and reschedule. If you had to call them back for warranty work, they took over a month to return to do the service. What good is that??? They tell you something different everytime I have called. They told me I had to call 30 days in advance to cancel, and now they are telling me that I have to call the day of the contract to cancel. They will be charging me for 2 months of service that I will not even be collecting on. They scam you with the charges, so I would recommend to find someone else to do your pest control services. Don't learn the hard way like I did.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Hawx Pest Control. Throughout my contract, they repeatedly skipped scheduled appointments but still charged me as if the services had been completed. On multiple occasions, they claimed to have removed cobwebs, yet when I checked outside immediately after, there were still plenty left. The technician had only taken a picture of himself clearing a single cobweb—clearly just for documentation, not actual service. Despite all the treatments, I saw no reduction in bugs around my home. I continued to deal with wasp issues no matter how many times they came out. Their treatments simply did not work. The final straw was the termite bait stations. I paid $1,500 upfront for installation and a full year of service, exactly as outlined in the agreement. But when I cancelled after fulfilling the contract, Hawx came and removed everything I had already paid for—without my permission. I am now considering a small claims lawsuit to recover what I paid for and what they took back. Do not use Hawx. In my experience, they do not deliver what they promise, and their business practices feel misleading and unfair. I strongly recommend choosing another pest control company.

I was misled by a Hawx salesperson who said I was signing up for a free trial and reimbursed me $75 via Venmo to make it seem legitimate. Later, I discovered I had actually been enrolled in a paid contract and that the reimbursement was just to get my bank account info. I contacted Hawx immediately to cancel and explained I was misled, but they still charged a cancellation fee and kept sending payment reminders. Their contract only allows 3 days to cancel, which is impossible to judge the effectiveness of a pest treatment — and in my case, the service did not even work to eliminate the pests. I had to dispute the charges with my bank to get my money back. The sales tactics are deceptive, the contract terms are unfair, and the service doesn’t deliver results. Do not trust this company without reading every detail carefully.

Terrible experience… total scam… They visited me the first time and offered me a service for $119, which seemed fine, so I accepted. Three months later, they came for a “check-up.” I told them everything was fine, they sprayed something in my yard, and days later they charged me $119 again. I called to complain and they told me I had a one-year contract, which I was never informed about or agreed to. I never received an email notification, I never received a payment receipt, they just took my money. I called to cancel the service and now they want to charge me an extra $200! Otherwise, they politely threatened to “damage” my credit, saying, “We don’t want to harm your credit.”… They are dishonest in how they offer the service, so avoid them at all costs.

False Promises and Zero Results I was promised the world by the sales team—and they completely under-delivered. My bug problem didn’t improve at all, even after asking them to come back and re-spray. The second visit made no difference. I was skeptical from the start, but the salesperson assured me I could cancel anytime if it didn’t work. That turned out to be a lie. I had to pay a $200 cancellation fee, and honestly, it was worth every penny just to be done with them. Instead of taking responsibility, they kept trying to upsell me on more services. They’d already taken my money for nothing—why would I give them more? This company is all talk, no results. Save yourself the headache and go with someone else.

We pay monthly, $50, we signed up for 12 months because they told us if we didn’t they couldn’t guarantee their work. Spiders and ants kept coming. The workers are nice but the fact that we kept having problems is a pain. I wouldn’t use them again. Also they charge $200 to cancel.

Things started out pretty good but quickly went down hill from there. This year has been horrible. We pay for quarterly treatments but have only had 2 treatments so far this year and it is October. We have an over abundance of spiderwebs and cobwebs around our property because they have not been doing their job. This time I walked him around and specifically asked for the spiderwebs/cobwebs to be cleared around the property. He told me he would see what he had time for. He was only here for maybe 10 minutes and didn’t clear away a single web. Very disappointing.

After my initial service, they told me to wait a month, I called back for a retreat, they came back out... I had to call for another retreat, and these pictures are AFTER the third retreat i ended up having to spray my porch down with vinegar. I started services because of spiders, I told each technician that there are spiders and egg sacs on the front porch. Their service is SUPPOSED to consist of removing webs, and egg sacs effectively disturbing the bugs homes, and then spray and dust along the base and eves edges respectively as well as granular stuff in the yard. The techs never removed the sacs, I had to.. and we aren't talking about a bunch of harmless house spiders, or daddy longlegs..longleaf... we're talking thousands of Brown Widows and Black Widows..(two different species) of spiders that can kill my animals and children.. I've been trying to cancel services because they clearly don't work, and they want me to pay a $200 early termination fee. They say the contract I signed states there will be an early termination fee if cancelled early, I said the contract I signed also states that you guarantee to get rid of spiders and you haven't. I'd save my money and buy a $3 gallon of vinegar at Walmart and do it yourself. I used a yard chemical sprayer that you pump with air and it sprays just as well as the pumps the professionals use... vinegar won't hurt your family or pets either... I'm still fighting to cancel with no early termination fee because their services don't work... 0/10 would NOT recommend.
