ADDING TO MY REVIEW AFTER THE COMPANY RESPONDED TO MY ORIGINIAL: LOL! Of course you never did any work for me and you also did not take the time to read my review! If you had read it you would know the negative review was to tell you WHY I DID NOT HIRE YOU!. ORIGINAL REVIEW: After explaining that I have a good working knowledge of irrigation systems and can do some minor repairs myself but I have a few repairs that require professional help: 1)pin hole leak in pvc portion of the backflow (prob caused by string trimmer), 3 heads that need to be moved a few feet away from current position & 1 head that is not working & likely needs to be replaced. They told me they cannot give me an estimate on the work without FIRST charging me $130 for a 1 hour evaluation of my entire system. My yard is small and the system is working as expected so it could not possibly take an hour to evaluate it. I realize this will be a small job for whomever I find, but seriously? you can't give an estimate without charging $130 for it???

We have never done work for this person however they did call with a variety of needs for their irrigation system (leak, multiple head issues, etc.). Based off the phone conversation we recommended a system evaluation of $135.00. A system evaluation would allow us time to run thru the system, check controller for functionality and programming, look at every head, diagnose any zones not working, identify any leaks, identify areas with little to no coverage or too much coverage. Once we have evaluated the system this information would allow us to accurately quote for any needed repairs. To go to the customer’s house and run thru an irrigation system and check all components takes time, and unfortunately we can’t do that at no charge due to the cost we incur in doing so.
I use Advanced Lawn Solutions for all of my treatment and over-seeding work. They consult on specific treatment needs and are willing to return to ensure success. I highly recommend Advanced Lawn Solutions for your lawn care needs.

I started using this company back in 2019 and was really happy with the service at the time — great customer service and quality work. After trying a competitor for a short period, I returned within a year because I thought this company had been the better choice. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill since then. The quality of service has noticeably declined. I've seen more weeds than ever in both my front and back yard — something I hadn’t experienced with them in the early years. That alone was frustrating, but I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. The bigger issue came recently during an aeration and seeding service, when one of their technicians damaged my irrigation line. When I called to address the problem, I was told the lines weren’t buried deep enough (they said 6 inches is code), but then admitted their own service can penetrate up to 6 inches. So basically, they know their process can hit irrigation lines but take no responsibility if it does — even though it’s clearly within the depth they claim to work. To make things worse, I was told the company isn’t liable because they didn’t install the irrigation system and don’t know where the lines are — even though I was only asked to mark the sprinkler heads (not the lines) in advance. They even offered to “fix” the issue, but only for an extra fee through another department of their own company — which felt pretty shady, as if they’re charging to fix damage they caused. I’m really disappointed. What used to be a dependable, high-quality service has turned into a company that won’t stand behind its work and leaves customers to deal with costly damage. My husband warned against leaving a review because of how unprofessional and unempathetic the owner's responses are, and we will still need to pay for repairs to line and yard. However, I felt compelled to warn other patrons. I would advise others to be cautious. At the very least, don’t use this company if you have an irrigation system — and if you do, be prepared to handle problems on your own, because they won’t.

We understand your frustration regarding the suspected leak in your irrigation system. We know this caused significant inconvenience and an unexpected expense. We have reviewed your account and have no record of any communication of any concerns with weeds or being unhappy with the condition of the lawn. We would have been happy to return and address any concerns with weeds at no additional charge if we were aware of your concerns. I see you called Friday September 26th about an irrigation leak that you believe was caused by the aeration and seeding on September 17th. However, upon reviewing your account I see you chose to mark your irrigation system instead of having us mark the irrigation system. It appeared to us at the time of aeration and seeding all visible components were marked and there were no additional areas marked. We cannot avoid things we are not made aware of that could potentially be damaged. If we marked your irrigation and damaged something we would be liable for that repair. Based off your phone call I understand there was no damage to anything that was marked, and the irrigation system is still functioning properly. The technicians did note there were some wet areas in the lawn, but we had no indication that anything was hit during the process. If a pipe is hit during aeration usually it is obvious as water will shoot directly into the air. At this time, we are not sure the irrigation system has been damaged. A wet area in the lawn could be caused by the multiple days of rain last week and running the irrigation multiple times during these heavy rain events could cause water to pool in low areas of the lawn. We would advise turning the irrigation off for a few days to determine if this is an irrigation leak or you have something unrelated to the irrigation going on. <br>We need to be clear about a few key points, not to diminish your frustration, but to explain our operating procedure:<br>1. Aeration Depth: Standard aeration tines generally penetrate the soil 2−4 inches. However, under certain soil conditions, they can reach a maximum depth of up to 6 inches, which is why we caution customers with shallow lines that are not installed to industry standard which is greater than 6 inches.<br>2. Locating Heads and Lines: You elected to mark your irritation sprinkler heads so our technicians can identify where major components are to avoid damage. By your own admission we did not damage anything that was marked. However, there's no way for our crews to avoid things that we are not made aware of. We cannot be held liable for any damage of subsurface components that are not marked.<br>In conclusion, we would be happy to help you get this situation resolved, however there would be a minimum charge for us to investigate to determine a possible cause of the wet area. <br>
I’ll change this rating when I get resolve for the many months of payments for services that did not meet the standards they offer.

We have used Advanced Lawn Solutions for 9 years and at 2 homes. They have always been ahead of the game in offering solutions sometimes before I see the problem. We originally hired them after knocking on a neighbors door and asking who they used. It was a no brainer to continue their service at our new home. We even added the tree and shrub service for 3 years to give everything the best chance at survival. Now we have neighbors asking us who we use!!

Used Advanced for weed control services. Noticed that my fenced back yard was getting worse after moving service to Advanced from competitor, so I started paying closer attention to services being rendered. After looking at security camera footage, I noticed they simply weren't treating my back yard, which was supposed to be part of the service. 3 times this happened with no call, text, message to ask for combo (which was provided initially). On the 4th time, I called to cancel service because I no longer trusted them to do what was agreed to initially. Rather than offer to treat the back yard (or even apologize), the person that answered just canceled the service and said they'd look into it. I'd rate 1 star, but my front yard is ok (not great by any means, but not bad either). ***Edited 10-29-24*** Dropped from 2 to one star, based on feedback from owner. The "According to our records" comment didn't sit right with me when I saw it. It reads like I'm being accused of lying. I'm not. I should have made a bigger deal about this initially, when I was all but certain the back yard wasn't being treated. It doesn't matter though. Treated or not, there were tons of weeds in the backyard. So, either the job wasn't being done or it was done poorly.

According to our records we have treated the yard 4 times, the last application was the only application we were unable to treat the backyard. Our normal process if we are unable to do the backyard would be to come back and treat that area at no additional cost. You will also see on the back of your invoice it would be indicated if we were unable to do the backyard. When you called on Friday the technician was still out in the field, and we were unable to verify with the paperwork that that area wasn’t able to be done. We did look at the paperwork and it did indicate he was unable to treat the backyard, therefore since you decided to cancel the service, we took off the charge for the area of the backyard.
Advanced takes very good care of my lawn and I highly recommend them for all your lawn care needs right down to irrigation.

We were Advanced Lawn Solutions customers for almost three years and never had any issue. Their prices were a little high, but they delivered on good service. Starting in 2023, their service fell off the map! Our sprinkler system needed three separate service calls and visits and was never fixed, ultimately resulting in trying to charge us an additional $300. Erroneous charges to a separate system that wasn't even operational. When we disputed these charges after we had cancelled our service, the young lady on the phone was extremely rude and turned our account over to a collection agency?!?!? Not sure what happened to this once very good company.

This customer contacted us to say that they had a leak; on the first visit we could not find any indication of a leak. After the customer called again, we went back out to look at the area in question and found a wet area but seemed that area was getting hit from multiple zones and was in a shaded area that wasn’t drying out so we adjusted the heads so there wasn’t as much water being sprayed. After the customer called and disagreed with the technician, we scheduled a meeting with them to evaluate. The technician found there was a problem with the well. We spoke with his wife and explained it would need to be repaired, since the husband was not present, we tried to call him to let him know the findings and see if he wanted to approve the repair to proceed forward. We were unable to reach the husband, therefore we called, texted, and emailed the proposal to get approval to make the repair. Since we could not get approval for the repair, we did not make the repairs to the irrigation system. The service calls for the irrigation leak where all done at no charge. We usually charge a diagnostic fee to diagnose irrigation repairs, however we did not charge this customer a diagnostic fee for these visits. We did not install this irrigation system, only did the service and repair work as requested, so there was no warranty for the irrigation system. The "erroneous charges" were for service done on their mosquito mistaway system, which is a totally separate system from the irrigation. The charge was for two visits to fill the mosquito mistaway system and was the same charge it has been for the last 3 years. We notified them the night before by text message for these services and were never told to cancel or not perform these services therefore the service was completed and billed. This customer never notified us to cancel any of his services until he called to say he refused to pay for the balance on the account. We explained these charges were for the mosquito mistaway service not the irrigation, and the service automatically renews and is scheduled like the years before. We did go back and review our phone system to verify that we had not received a call, text, or email from them between the last irrigation service and the day they refused to pay, to confirm they had not notified us to cancel any services. We explained to the customer they had not called and canceled and would be responsible for the completed services on the mosquito mistaway system, since he still refused to pay for the service, we explained we would have to turn it over to the collection agency.
The absolute best
Last year, fantastic, this year, took me a month to make an appointment tried to coordinate a time for them to come out when our builder was here that hit a line and they refused to call or work with me on a time. This is not how doing business works..Steer clear!

Your appointment was scheduled yesterday and we were unable to be there at 1pm as requested. We explained we would reschedule the appointment and would call and let you know when your appointment was rescheduled. You called 2 hours later wanting to know when your appointment was rescheduled, however we did not have the service rescheduled at that time. Your appointment has been rescheduled and you will receive a call on Monday with a new appointment date.
Advanced has serviced my lawn for years and have just given them my first 5- star review. We are having a bit of struggle with my lawn at the moment. However, given I just gave them 5 stars, have enough history with Advanced team...am confident they will come through under difficult circumstance...will not give up on Advanced.
Called and brandy said they don't do lawns but in your website under services says they do so here's a bad review for not doing what you say you offer

We do service lawns, however our lawn service is for fertilization, weed control, insect, and disease treatments on lawns. Sorry to hear that we do not provide services to your area, however we are a local business in Rutherford County Tennessee. Our Services require onsite visits and to keep our cost in line we have to limit the area we cover. Lawn looks worse now than when they started working with it over a year ago. They wanted to charge me 950 bucks to fix my irrigation. I had a company do it for 350.

Mr Peycke,<br>I think there may have been some miscommunications on this repair. The quote we sent over was for $765.06. With out opening the irrigation backflow and removing the internal parts, we are unable to get an exact cost on repair or if it can even be repaired. The quote you where given was a worse case repair (a complete replacement). However, once on site if we could have repaired the backflow to function properly and pass the State required testing with a lower cost option we would have done so and adjusted that price down. If this was not explained to you I'm truly sorry. Our standard practice is to give the worse case repair cost and at the time of the repair we bill actual time on site (which is gps verified) plus material cost up to the quoted price.
