Logan does a great job of ensuring my house is treated preventatively for anything that might try to get in. He took the time to take down several spiderwebs that he found on the outside and sprayed wherever was needed. He definitely made me feel like my home is better protected now.

Oscar: I contacted your office since you did not answer your phone. Issues are: 1. Bulwark did not notify us of your treatment today. We needed to show you several things. 2. You gave us 15 minutes notice. Not adequate to be able to return home in time. 3. Our back porch needed to be treated inside and out. 4. We did not receive new glue boards.

I tried very hard not to write this review. Not once did I reach out to the company but TWICE. Obviously it is not that important to them so I have to share my experience. I paid over $200 for an initial visit to go over problem areas and have this company install and start my services. I agreed to $39 a month. Not one time did I pay $39. Instead, I was charged $69 for what, I am not sure. The level of professionalism is non existent with this company. The rep came out to my house and left me with THREE cans of professional grade bug bombs… Professional-grade insecticide “PT Pro-Control Formula 2” (EPA Reg. No. 499-509) Why is this a big deal you ask? This product is clearly labeled “for professional use only” and is regulated under federal pesticide law (FIFRA). Leaving such chemicals with an unlicensed homeowner is not only unsafe but appears to violate EPA and Tennessee Department of Agriculture pesticide regulations. When canceling my service with Bulwark, they continue to charge me for an additional month that I did not receive. They then refused to break down the charges for me and explain why I was being charged and would not honor my request to have email communication only. I received a letter that I was placed in collections for $84 (that’s strange, my bill was only supposed to be $39)… anyways, I get a rep on the phone to clear up the additional charge and I explained all of the stress that has occurred by dealing with the KNOXVILLE BRANCH. The representative was nice and handled everything. That was when I set a SECOND appointment for Bulwark to come pick up their DANGEROUS supplies and their 2 traps from my yard. Guess what…. NO SHOW, for a second time. So I now feel inclined to let everyone know about the bug bombs that are not supposed to be in my possession and the experience that I’ve had. I am beyond disappointed and would not recommend putting anyone through this awful experience.

We signed up with Bulwark Exterminating expecting professional pest control and clear service standards. Instead, our experience has been nothing but disappointing. Sub-par service: The original issue we called them for never actually went away. Treatments felt like a checklist done for the sake of it rather than real solutions. Poor communication from service personnel: Apart from the first time someone came out, the service personnel wouldn’t even notify/talk to us. When you schedule an on-site call outside their "once-a-month" visit, the scheduler would typically ask to describe the issue and its location. When the service personnel would come, they’d just quietly do whatever was communicated to them through the service notes, with no explanation, no updates, and no chance to ask questions or raise concerns. Extremely poor customer service: Getting in touch with Bulwark’s support team was frustrating. When we did, we were met with vague answers, dismissive attitudes, and zero accountability. Confusing and inflated pricing: Bills often carried code numbers with no explanation of what they meant. Pricing felt padded and intentionally unclear. Dishonest billing practices: After canceling our service as it just wasn't worth the money, Bulwark not only asked for additional payment but also tried to lie to us about when our first service took place. They told us they bill in advance to justify charging us for an extra month. Cancellation was a hassle: I'd been communicating with them to schedule visits, and it was never a problem. But when I tried to cancel their service, they wouldn't do it cuz it was in my wife's name. It had to be a two-person job just to cancel it. This company’s practices are misleading at best, dishonest at worst. Between ineffective service, lack of professionalism, and shady billing tactics, I cannot recommend Bulwark Exterminating to anyone.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! I previously had them as our pest control. We bought a new home and called for a termite inspection. When I called to reschedule the appointment they told me that they cannot do pest control on a home I do not own. They stated it was a mistake someone scheduled me in the first place. They started further questioning my ownership of the home over and over. Needless to say, I called and was able to get assistance at another company. I’m not sure who is out there trying to pay for pest control for a home they do not own, but I sure don’t have time for that.

The service is good but the billing practices are horrible. After your contract they stop coming but continue to take money from your account. When I called to discuss it the supervisor that took the call tried to say we were supposed to cancel even though we signed a year contract. Beware the billing.

Those include at least a full year of service because that's the<br>only way it works. Since each treatment will kill 10-20% of the bug<br>population, all honest and reputable companies will require a year of<br>consistent service to get things under control. After that period, we<br>continue treating on a month to month basis to protect the home from<br>reinfestation. We see that your account was set up to be charged<br>monthly regardless of the service schedule. Paying each month is a way<br>to spread out the cost of your service instead of one price for each<br>service. We are sorry that your account was not scheduled for the<br>regular service for a few months. Missing that many services isn't<br>like our usual 5 star service as we want to maintain the barrier on<br>your property to keep pests out. We see that we spoke to you about<br>spreading out your services quarterly at a cost of $99 per service. If<br>this is something that you are interested in please give us a call at<br>(865) 544-8400. We used them briefly, since our new home was automatically signed up through our home builder. Looked up the ingredients they use and found out I can use the same stuff bought at a big box store and spray myself for much cheaper, so I canceled the service. But these people will not leave you alone trying to get you to reactivate service. Even had a technician call me, say he was in the area and if I'd like to be sprayed. Advised him I had already canceled service, but he said "well, figured I'd call you anyways since I'm in the area." After some probing, if I had agreed to this it would have automatically reactivated my service, but he was not upfront with this fact, and I had to pull it out of him. Very shady. And the constant ghost calls where they call you for one ring and hang up, super awesome guys. I was originally going to use them for a separate termite service, but definitely not now. I'll use someone else. 2 stars for at least being friendly and on time for the brief time I did use them. But heaven help you if you cancel their service. They are worse than JW's.

Their employee came into our yard when we were not at home without any previous phone call. We did not ask for the service. Then they left a bill of $79 on our door. I will call 911 if they come again.

If I could leave NO stars I would! After using this company for 3 years now I recently noticed near my air conditioner there were 2 large holes right next to my foundation. This was 2 days after a so called treatment was done to the property. When I called in to ask why I had not been notified and what was responsible for the holes I was told they didn't know but would send the tech out to see. Later I recieved a phone call from the tech telling me he didn't know what it could be that he wasn't a rodent specialist! (PEST CONTROL COMPANY??) I contacted another pest control company and they informed me that it was rats that were burrowing next to my foundation and into the crawl space as well. When I called Bulwark back to cancel service & let them know I was not pleased that I was having to pay another company the supervisor hung up on me!
