Do not go with this pest control! We signed a contract with them in July 2024 for a rodent exclusion subscription after they found rat droppings. This was a $2,000 contract that was a "lifetime". We also got them to seal our crawlspace to prevent more rats from getting in. Fast forward 18 months later. We had to call every time throughout the 18 months to prompt them to check on the traps because we heard noises. We cancelled our pest control with them. We were informed during cancellation that our rodent service would remain for 1 year. We called a few months later to have our traps checked again. They then informed us that the warranty actually ended when we cancelled our pest service. They sent an inspector out who found that the rats had BUILT AN ENTIRE NEST AND TORE UP OUR SUBFLOORING. This damage was not there 18 months ago. The inspector said we were still under warranty. Then he followed up later that day to say we weren't. So now we're stuck with a rat's nest, destroyed subflooring, and $2,000 poorer. But we are wiser from the experience. 2/11 update: a representative called me. Their offer was for us to start another subscription and pay to fix the rodent issue (which they caused). I explained to her that we are in this predicament because they never did what the original agreement said. 2/12 update: she called again to offer another inspector/manager to come and look at our house again. Also on the call, they did admit they just stopped coming to deal with the rodents while we were paying for service (including not coming at all for the last 7 months) although they tried to explain away why they didn't come. I'm including before and after photos of our crawlspace.

Avoid at all costs. I won’t sit here and mention every single thing that wasn’t right. I’ll say this.. Once you sign their contract, their customer service goes MIA. I tried numerous times through any avenue I could find. I tried for MONTHS to get in touch with someone. Finally? I got someone on the phone and when I requested to not renew my contract, he insisted on going through the whole “why? What happened? Oh, I’m sorry, let me transfer you to the manager so we can make sure this doesn’t happen again!” The manager gets on the phone and I tell him again everything that’s gone wrong since my first service and that’s why I was cancelling. And no, I wasn’t interested in renewing at a discounted rate. The price doesn’t matter when you become unreachable by the customer. They didn’t want to take no for an answer. I wasn’t confident that they would actually file my non renewal request. Please, do some work on your customer service, Alta. People don’t like feeling locked into something because they can’t get ahold of the company!

Update: I would like you all to know that at first two visits they come out and then its like they disappear. I asked for proof they are coming out at the beginning and they sent me pics. When I called and asked why they havent been out they sent me the exact same Pic as the first month and said the guy had been out there. I told them this and they denied me and said he'd been there. So I had them contact me when he next comes out. He was suppose to come out the 1st week of the month but showed up the 3rd week. That essentially gave them almost a free extra month with out spraying and add that to the month they didn't come, adds up to 7 months of no spraying. Tried to get out of contract to no avail. When i signed contract it was for one year yet they say 18 months. Sales people are lying to you to get that contract. It was 400$ to get out. Josh did a wonderful job and answered all my questions. Very pleasant young man to deal with and noticed things I would not have seen.
Even though we've been with Alta Pest Control for over 18 months, they told us last week that there is a mice issue in our attic and it would cost over $4,000 to take care of it. We pay for a pest control so that we wouldn't have an issue with rodents and insects...What have they been doing the last 18 months?? Today, Cook's Pest Control came and informed us that there is no issue and that none of the mice traps have even been triggered. The quote from Alta was deceitful and misleading.

I truly wish my husband did not do a pest control as him and I have not noticed a single difference since getting their service. I know they have not been here every month as I am a stay at home parent. My husband got a text that they will be here tomorrow to check the attic and the crawl space and no treatments would be performed. Before he told me, they showed up. Never received the guy’s name. He got the cobwebs down and sprayed the perimeter… what the heck are we actually paying for? Truly! We have called numerous times and cannot get ahold of anyone. We want to cancel but we are not paying an astronomical amount to cancel a service that isn’t doing anything. I’ve noticed on these “reviews” that the manager looks up the account. So you can look up Jordon Osborne in Strawberry Plains and call him ASAP and come to a solution. Thanks.

Very polite & reasonable pricing! Their tech Braden is wonderful for him to be a new employee & his first day until they said that I signed a 12 month contract & I never did! It was a one time thing & they sent it to collections stating that they came out 4 more times & sprayed & never did! Remind you I have video security camera system! I just can’t believe for them to be a so called professional business how they would lie & try to get over on people is awful & frustrating! If anyone does decide to go with this company more power to you!! Watch out!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I never leave reviews but hope this can be a warning to someone else. The “48 response time” for them to come out if you have an issue is for them to “return your phone call” it takes over a week for them to show up to your house if you ever have an issue in between services. They are not willing to work with you, I’ve tried canceling my service but they want me to pay my initial service fee which is in my contract if I terminate early which is fair but they can’t hold up their end by showing up within 48 hours like I was originally sold to the company and convinced to switch providers because of their 48 hour guarantee which turns out to be a lie. Now I’m stuck unless I want to pay them $500 for the initial service which was originally discounted to $50. No one was even able to tell me what the $500 initial fee was for because it was the same service I get every month, so why the extreme extra charge?

Luke inspected some “suspicious” areas in and around my property and quickly identified the issue. Fortunately, it was not that big of an issue. The point is, Luke was very helpful, professional and honest. I would definitely call this company!

Trevor heard my concerns and went out of his way and took his time to make sure he covered all areas I was having issues with. He communicated with me before the service explained what he would be doing and communicated after to let me know all he did. Was very nice and polite .

Christopher was a great tech. He gave me ant traps when needed, and sprayed the areas I had concern with a little extra. Christopher also let me know about a gas leak that was occurring without my knowledge, which could have potentially saved my family from many issues. I have been using this service for over a year and have not seen any difference in the pests that enter the home. They are in and out within minutes, leading me to believe they don’t perform the tasks they are claiming. A friend of mine also used them until her outside cameras saw that they were not treating the area, just showing up and leaving. I believe this is what has happened over the year. I’ve spent over a thousand dollars for this company to provide subpar service. The only credit I will give them is they will knock down spider webs and wasp nests, but centipedes and beetles have consistently entered our home throughout their “spraying”. Would not recommend. Tried to cancel because I’m moving and they wanted to charge an additional $400 to end their agreement early, but they have yet to hold up their end of said agreement by managing pests. Seems more like scam artists than professionals.

Absolutely do not recommend this company. Over a year of trash service and when trying to cancel even though they charge my card they tell me only my wife can stop service. This business is pathetic to work with and all these positive reviews must be some promotion they are doing because there is NO way this many people are happy being screwed. When they come to your house if you have cameras “Watch Them” to see how little is done. Paying to have your yard treated? BS, you will be lucky if the people even spray/fog anything while they walk around. Need extra service? No problem, they will send someone over to squirt a 6” line of what could be water by your door and tell you the problem will go away within a couple weeks.

If I could give less stars I would. If I could give negative stars I would. I HATE these people. Firstly, they’re “pet friendly” pest control (even after waiting hours after the recommended time) has made my dog incredibly ill. She now has a severe case of HGE which started just a day or two after they sprayed in JULY. We’ve been battling this for weeks. They came out twice within in the first two weeks and we still see an insane amount of mosquitos and spiders and it helped 0. We have not allowed them back since 8/9 and do not plan to ever again. The representatives? Trick you into 2 year “contracts” by quickly going by that information with the person who ISNT EVEN PAYING. I told that guy 100 times it wasn’t going to work, and he sat here and pushed the sell for as long as he could. He approached me on my property. He offered it to us as a month trial for $75 if we liked it we keep it, if we don’t we cancel. That’s what was explained to me. Now here we are they’re trying to charge me $120 for service I am not going to use and have not received as the $75 covered the initial first month, and $424 for cancellation? Hell. No.

The guys showed up dewebbed the door and left. This has been multiple times on camera. I am paying for mosquito treatment and ants and I am still having problems after they came out 2 times in one month. If my boyfriend wasn’t home the guy would have just left the second time after not doing anything the first time. This is not worth the service of $70 a month. Oh and the free terminate inspection the guy trash my house and broke my tv with the latter while looking in my attic to tell me that I have mice. Says he will send a quote. That never happened. 100% do not recommend them. Going to cancel my subscription service and find someone else who will show up.

Absolutely horrible company to have a service with. Issue, after issue, after issue, so I canceled my service. I would get a text saying service was completed, when the Technician never actually showed up. When they did come, they'd complete the wrong service. They would put out granules instead of spray which I specifically requested they not do because I have free range chickens. They'd service one property when they were supposed to go to another. I don't understand how a company could be such an absolute cluster. So I canceled my service in April of 2025, but Alta kept charging my credit card for one property, and billing me for the other. Called and spoke to a supervisor, left voice-mail, emailed... Nothing. Called again today , and the representative (Elizabeth) confirmed that the notes show i called April 18th 2025 to cancel. I am CURRENTLY on hold right now - which im pretty sure the representative "Kinkley" has left me on hold intentionally for over 30 minutes. He just chuckled and said "sorry for all the trouble" - okay? So what about the $90 I've been charged every since April !? They kept taking money from my credit card, and now wanting to send the other bill to "collections". DO NOT DO BUSINESS with ALTA. They are in the business to take your money and could care less how many times you call or email to remind them that this service was supposed to be canceled.

Had the same person come to my door and offer services shown in a review picture from two weeks ago. I asked for a business card... he said they don't have any. I called the local number, spoke to Ben. I asked Ben if the guy was legit, he said yes. I asked for proof, he said if he wears the shirt its legit.... really? Drove his own car, not a company car. The name he gave me was not in the reviews below. I asked Ben to tell me about Jason, he said he does not know him..... You should ensure your employees safety and your customers safety.... I still have know idea if he really works for you.
