Quick, reasonable and complete.
We have been a customer for 7 years. Always ready to go every year. If any weeds are missed, they will come back and hit the pop ups with just a quick message.
Used to be great service, until they stopped returning phone calls and doing what they said they were going to do.

Josh, our experts would enjoy mowing your lawn again...
Poor communication, high charges and poor response with needs when asked
We used this company for many years and were extremely happy with them, last year created a different picture. As always, we prepaid for services to receive a discount however 2 services were not completed by the company. This left us on a ledge when the sprinkler system hadn't been blown out and winter was coming. The owner refuses to answer inquiries and we haven't been refunded our prepaid money. He did however send us an invoice to prepay for 2024 services in advance - the invoice also did not include a credit for money already paid. Very disappointed.

We appreciate you’re vote of confidence!
*UPDATE* Out of business now. I bought my house in 1998 with the sprinkler system I am using today but was never told who installed it. Over the years I have not needed much work except for annual fall blowouts. But in the past couple of years I've needed work done and had trouble getting in touch with anyone or find someone who can do work relatively quickly until I call Equity Lawn. The called me back right away, came out quickly to fix my problem and charged me what they said. Highly recommend!
Was a pre pay customer for many years. Last season lawn fertilizer service just stopped. No contact or never showed when said they would. Lost hundreds of dollars from pre- pay service. Filed complaint with BBB and still no response. Extremely disappointed and obviously would not recommend.

Thank you Phil. We appreciate your review!
Hired James for snow removal this season. Never showed up when we had our heavy snowfall in January. He never responded to repeated texts or email messages. Voice mailbox was full so couldn’t reach him by phone.
I was a pre-pay customer. Over the last year I was passed over numerous times as they were in my neighborhood. Now, they did not finish the season. I have requested my money back several times for what they did not do. All requests have gone unanswered. I hope James can work out whatever issues his company is having and make things right with his customers. Until then, I do not recommend them.
I do not recommend this company. My yard looks worse than ever. They do not stand behind there product/work. They applied the wrong grass seed and admitted it and didn't fix. James 100% admitted he put the wrong grass seed down. He stated that he would fix it, but never would come back. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!! It cost me $1700.00 and now I had to redo my whole yard as he planted tall fesque and it took over my whole yard!
Don't appreciate your vehicle running a very red light and almost hitting us. Plate 87581 I think and it had a dump box on the bac. just a little bit ago.
James and his crew came to update my old sprinkler system.. He and his crew were at my house from sun up to sun down working to optimize my system. They did an outstanding job and now every inch of my lawn is getting watered. Extremely responsive, friendly and professional. I couldn't recommend them highly enough!!
We've had Equity Green for years. Fall of 2022 they sprayed our yard and killed half of our yard. James came out and admitted that it was there fault. They came out the next day and reseeded but nothing took. He assured us in the spring he would fix our yard. Come April 2023 I texted him no response. I called him, no respnse. My husband called no response, between the 2 of us we contacted him 10 times no response. Then he did respond and said he would be out, we asked when? again no, reponse. A month has passed and no coming out. In the meantime we filed a complaint with the Attorney General office on May 1st. They sent him a letter and gave him 20 days to responsed to our complaint,he did not respond to Attorney General or to us. How do you expect to keep customers when you run your business like this? I would highly recommend don't do business with this campany. If they do something wrong they will not correct it, they will just ignore you and leave you to take care of it yourself.
Contacted them via email and they were the first company to respond right away and got started the next day! Lawn is already looking better after their first visit. Appreciate it!!
I contacted James several times to rectify how his company killed my lawn and got NO response. I have since filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am still awaiting a response! Steer clear of this company and their services!!

Thanks John, we appreciate working with you. The spring aeration was vital. We’re blessed to assist you with your lawn and sprinkler system needs.
Thank you so much for the quick responses, quick work, and overall super smooth process with our projects. Will definitely be recommending you to everyone!
Great small business. Professional and always made sure we were taken care of. Easy to work with.

We appreciate your kind words Darci! Thank you.
NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! PLEASE... take the negative reviews seriously. We have issues with them that are still unresolved going back to April/May of 2021. They will take forever to respond or simply ignore you if you have a problem. They can't even return a simple text message - completely unprofessional/unresponsive. Gave us a refund for messing up our yard, but now, months later, out of nowhere, are sending us a bill and threatening collections. So over the last 2 weeks I have sent several messages trying to get this resolved once and for all, but now they ignore us completely. >>> Steer clear or you will regret it. <<<

David, we appreciate your opinion. We’ve refunded your account and offered you an opportunity to create a lawn we can both be proud of. If you’d like some tips going forward we’d be happy to work with you.
I had been an Equity Green customer for about 2 years. Initially had no issues with their fertilizing and weed spraying service. Approx 5 weeks ago, when they sprayed my lawn for weeds, some of the spray landed on the very bottom of my two spruce trees and killed large areas of needles. On 06/16/21, I texted James photos of the damage and requested he call me to discuss this….crickets. On 06/18/21, I emailed him the photos and again requested telephone contact. He never called. He "physically" replied to my email, but completely ignored my issue. Instead he discussed my lawn and what he could do to improve it. Over the next several emails he dodged the issue by suggesting expensive upgrades and services to my lawn. James eventually acknowledged the fact my trees were damaged, but never accepted responsibility for it. He then offered to service my trees in an attempt to make them healthier, but (even after specific questions) would not say at who’s expense these services would be. I tried to cut and paste the entire email chain between James and I, but Google limits how large their reviews can be. This is unfortunate because the email chain is almost comical due to the complete disregard for my concerns as a paying customer. I will paste as much of it as I can below: On Jun 18, 2021, Chris wrote: Morning James, checking if you received my text this past Wed regarding the bottoms of my two spruce trees recently having dead spots. I included a few pics of some of the dead areas. As my text noted, it certainly appears as though when the last weed spraying took place there was some overspray that landed on my spruces. I have not received anything from you regarding this. Have you taken a look for yourself? My text requested a call from you in order to discuss this. I understand you are busy running around getting things done, so I figured giving you the opportunity to call me when it was convenient for you would be appreciated by you. Call anytime (outside normal business hours is fine). I'm certainly willing to call you directly if needed. Thank you. On 6/18/21, James wrote: Chris, First glance your lawn is cut a bit shorter than we would enjoy seeing. We can spray the crabgrass. It enjoys heat and lack of water is creating breakout. Have you considered installing an irrigation system and drill seeding? Thank you, James Hammer On 6/18/21, Chris wrote: James, I requested your thoughts on my spruce trees having dead spots due to overspray during weed spraying. Are you saying my lawn's length was the cause the overspray? -or- Are you saying my lawn is currently, or at the time of when I took the pics I sent you, cut too short? On 6/20/21, James wrote: Chris, Please email photos of the tree. Or you may contact X with X for a 100% accurate diagnostics, reviews, recommendations, and results. He charged a $125 consulting fee, however its priceless to absorb his knowledge. Yes your lawn is cut too short. If I may suggest installing an Irrigation System if your going to be living there for more than 3 years. An EPA Compliant Rain Bird System would be $3500. Mow when it needs to be cut with the highest setting now until September and then cut it shorter throughout Fall and mow & bag at 2” in November. Long term Drill/Slit/Hydro/seed would be optimally this fall for $1800. On 6/23/21, Chris wrote: James, yesterday I sent the photographs I took of some of the dead areas of my two spruces. Are you going to pay X's $125 consulting fee? I am less than satisfied with your vague replies to my emails that do not address my questions or the actual issues at hand. I am not concerned about my lawn's health at this time. I am concerned with the damage to my two trees. I am not a happy customer. *The email chain went on for another 8 rounds. In the end, James stopped replying to me, never called me, and never accepted responsibly for the damages. I see James tends to reply to Google reviews. I suggest he instead uses that time to call his paying customers and actually correct his company’s mistakes.*

Chris, we value you, your trees, and lawn. If your open we have a long term solution. To be fair to you we have proposed a solution via email. It would be our pleasure to create a healthy solution. Thank you
Some of the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I inquired about some crabgrass concerns months ago. I provided pictures of the problem areas twice at their request. I was repeatedly told someone would be out to treat. My lawn still has crabgrass and has not been treated. No one has apologized or shown any accountability. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Go somewhere where customer service and responsiveness is a priority.

We appreciate your feedback Brad. We’d enjoy working with you in the future. Thank you.
Save your money. Sleazy car salesmen disguised as lawn care technicians. They’re no experts. Go somewhere else. Don’t walk, run!!! In response to their response : It was definitely Equity Green. The guy that showed up was driving an unmarked car but definitely left equity green information. I felt “educated” enough to run the other direction. Sleazy car salesman. Seriously. Run away.
