Initial install is fine but if you need follow up, you’re out of luck. Paul took our $ and won’t return phone calls…..so many phone calls. Read the Nexton FB pages about all of the issues with Southern Green. Sub par plants, irrigation systems from Home Depot, won’t stand by “guarantee” on palms, etc. 1.7 starts on Google page!

It seems I’m not the first person to experience this issue. While I haven’t used your service myself, I’ve had several unpleasant encounters with your drivers on the road. I understand you may feel relaxed while driving, but please stay in the right lane if you’re scrolling on your phone or driving below the speed limit. You’re not an F1 driver — there’s no need to occupy the passing lane. Driving slowly in the left lane creates unnecessary traffic and increases the risk of accidents. Please check your rearview mirrors and, if someone is behind you, consider moving over to the right lane. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I hired Southern Green to do front yard bedding for me and my friends yard. I payed close to $4000 between both front yards, which was extremely high for his quotes, under the assumption that this was a professional and quality company. Instead of quality and good service I get multiple dying plants, pine straw put down without any weed barrier underneath causing a weed outbreak, and the sego palm I had them relocate had died because they just covertly plopped it on the ground and surrounding it with pine straw instead of actually replanting it. I do not recommend this company AT ALL!!! Horrible service and workmanship along with bad communication if you can get an answer on the phone. If you do get an answer expect constant excuses and made up stories about why something wasn’t done or hasn’t been done yet. Paul is a horrible scammer and a compulsive liar, and his receptionist’s will cover for him at any given moment. The whole company is a scam and they charge ridiculous prices for such terrible work and service. Avoid at all costs.

My experience with Southern Green has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. No one seems to know when my irrigation system can actually be repaired, and I have yet to receive a definite service date or any clear communication. However, they had no problem calling to collect a $100 service charge payment upfront. As a customer, I expect transparency, communication, and accountability — especially after paying for service. Instead, I’ve been left waiting with no answers and no confidence that the repair is a priority. Very frustrating experience, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

I made the mistake of hiring Southern Green last summer for their lawn treatment services (12-month plan). BLUF: Do not do it. They refuse to provide a contract outlining services, types of treatments/chemicals used, and fail to show up unless you call and make it an issue. They came for the first time in July 2025, and then I had to follow up with them in late August and again in early September to see when they would be back. This set the tone for future months as they failed to show on several other occasions without me calling and inquiring as to their whereabouts despite treating my literal next door neighbor without issue on a routine schedule. I also had to point out to them this spring weed outbreaks like kyllinga, nutsedge, crabgrass, etc. and getting them out here to treat it was more difficult than it should be (mind you, these weeds were also visible at the time they started service). They do not properly time their treatments (pre- or post-emergents) which is evident by worsening of weeds currently nor do they demonstrate any care or regard for the customer - they give off the impression that you’re giving them a hard time when in reality it’s only asking what you paid for…the lady answering the calls is as rude and short as can be. I’ve seen literally zero effort from this company to do anything to my yard. Full of excuses, blaming the weather, etc etc. I recognize we’ve had some rough winters/springs but that does not omit the reality of them failing to show up, constantly having me the customer call in to inquire when they would be here, and then having the audacity to ask me if I’d renew my plan (mind you what they quoted me was less than my neighbor…). Overall, the state of my yard did not improve in the slightest, it was a headache dealing with them, and completely waste of money. Learn from me, do not use them.

First time around was fine. Second time I’d avoid at all cost. Zero communication, dodging my phone calls and won’t commit to an install date for Palm trees. Skip their promo adds and spend a little more money with another company.

When you spend thousands of dollars with a company - Southern Green - I was expecting professional landscaping with quality plants. In a short period of time 7 plants have died and 6 more are heading out as well. I’ve made several attempts to contact SG but my calls were ignored. I finally reached a “supervisor “ to look at how pathetic their planting were doing. He took pictures and assured me he would get back to me. After a little over a week I received a text that they would replace 2 sweet grass and the rest I would have to pay for again however I would get them at cost (how nice) So if you are looking for a company who will take your money plant sub standard plantings and not respond to you when you have a problem - this is your company. For anyone else find a licensed company who will stand behind their work. Southern Green has no morals or care after they are paid. I would NOT recommend them to anyone - EVER

Do not give these guys your money!!! The customer service after the install is horrible. They wanted to charge me a service fee to come out and look at the possible leak caused by the irrigation that they installed. Horrible work and even worse customer service.
