It's a downhill slide. From workers who don't do their job to staff being deceitful with customers. I spent about 3 years giving them my business only to discover they pay for 5 star reviews that they do not earn because the past year it has been one issue after another. Read the lowest reviews and know that those are the truthful ones and read them carefully.

We started using Clear Defense in June 2023. A sales person approached me in my neighborhood, and was very pushy about signing us up, and also could not clearly answer any of my questions about billing. Fast forward to October 2024 -- We cancelled their services because we have had nothing but BAD technicians, no shows, scheduling issues, and just overall a horrible company to deal with. When you call in to talk to someone, it is ran by a bunch of young guys who clearly do not care about their job. The only person that worked their that was good at their job was Brayden, but he has since stepped down from general manager. DO NOT AGREE TO THEIR SERVICES. They will not truly treat your entire home, especially if you are not home!!! Worst company I have ever signed up with.

This company, yikes! One apology after the next. No one can take accountability and nothing gets completed. They conveniently show up when they want, not when requested by the customer (even after having a scheduled appointment). Cameras show nothing being done while they were here for the very short amount of time. Also, stop buying your reviews. Consumers aren’t dumb. You don’t have a 5 star review across the board out of 1,700+ reviews. You are far from a five star company and buying reviews on Google in 2024 screams desperate. Once again, this company.. yikes!

I called on Tuesday June 11th at a little after 5pm. Evidently CD has a call center they pay to have take calls “after hours”. I spoke to a lady that had screaming kids in the background and hardly paid attention to anything I said. I needed a retreatment due to still having spiders and other bugs in the backyard 2 weeks after my scheduled appointment. The lady informed me they wouldn’t be able to get to my house until June 26th… 2 weeks away even though I already paid for the service that didn’t work. Received a call after I got off the phone with her from an actual clear defense employee. They stated they have the call center for after hours but he stated they are there til 6. He then asks me if I was trying to get my mosquito treatment pushed up. Nothing was even said about mosquitos… he then tells me they can’t get me in til June 24th… 2 days earlier than what the other lady said. When he realized I was not ok with that, he was able to get me in today, june 13th. It’s like this every time I try to get my yard treated again because the first treatment doesn’t work. It’s like they try to brush you off since they already got paid for the treatment until they realize you aren’t happy and they “make room” for you. Technician showed up today and the invoice only states they treated for mosquitos. I AGAIN had to call 2 more times to find out what was going on. I’m being told they did treat for spiders but it’s not on the invoice. All the technicians have been great but the service is lacking. It’s kinda fishy that out of 1722 reviews, none are lower than 5 stars… even though I left a review last year with 3 stars and it disappeared…

Was cornered by your sales person as I got out of my truck this evening in the rain coming home from work. The sales person wouldn't leave me alone after saying no multiple times. After 4 or 5 more no's they finally went away. Meanwhile it was still raining. I will NOT do business with any company who door knocks. It's 2023 there are much better marketing and sales techniques out there. Let alone being cornered in the rain when I come home from work.

A very young man from this company stopped my two year old daughter and I as we were playing outside our South Lebanon home yesterday afternoon at around 4 PM. He was very awkward and pushy, and even though I hinted that we were not interested, he insisted on walking the perimeter of the house anyway. My husband thankfully got home from work at that time, and he took over talking to him. He stressed that we were not interested right now, and that we would perhaps reconsider in a month or two (we just recently bought the house, and don’t have the extra money right now). At 9 PM, the young man loudly rang our doorbell AGAIN, waking up our daughter, and he had returned with THREE other salespeople, who insisted on speaking to my husband for upwards of half an hour. It was the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen. This company will definitely not be getting our business now.

We had seen a mouse in our dog food reached out was told they would call back next morn never heard from them Then we went with terminex bt canceled cause this place finally reached out ..we decided to go with them despite them not calling back when we was told they would and the glue traps they set up have mouse droppungs bt no mouse called to tell them and to them it was funny i was scared keaton actually laughed when i said i cant even go to my basement .then we were told a tech would be here in 2-3 days to recheck everything and today I was told no we call then he said another 4 days b4 they can come chk these traps so all together 5 days they tell u what u wanna hear till u sign the contract then. Once they hook you everything changes typical buisness scam...don't kno how this critter got in bt all I wanted was it removed paid money signed a contract to give more money and nothing is changed .and told all we have to do is call if we have concerns or need any of the traps removed if it had caught a mouse so again lies they don't tell you tht u call and schedule out four days b4 they come so which means if I had a dead mouse here they would make me look at it for 4 days they make it seem like they will be right out if u call bt of course shoulda figured after they put the hook in Ya to get u to. Choose them it was jus part of the reel in...sooo frustrating especially to be laughed at when my fear of mice is real how unprofessional....all I wanted was help thought this was a good choice was even told tht if the mouse ate the poison we may find it dead bt don't worry they will come remove it ...what 4 days later...

Upon moving to a new address the original company, Clear Defense Pest Control, did not inform the consumer, about how their move would transferring services would affect the new initial agreement. There was no transferring services statement signed by the client. No one told the client extra services from the old property would be transferred, when signed there was nothing to state how and why the old services followed them to their new property. There was no way for the client to understand how transferring their services would affect the new location. There is no way for the client to see their services and how transferring those services affects them. Only upon trying to close out services was this revealed to the client. The billing practices are not placed for a client to see them, nor challenge them within the limits of their initial agreement. If an initial agreement is for a period of months vs. number of services during a given season, legally that should be stated for the company instead of the client calling and being mislead about if one is greater than the other. There is way for the client to do a payment plan nor is there a way for the client to understand billing practices, without incurring more debt to this particular business model. The client has tried to cancel on multiple occasions, to no avail. We further think the mosquito was added at a later date since the signatures do not match. As well as the initial for the new home did not include the mosquito. It was signed in person, by the consumer herself. There was no transfer document signed as understanding of the mosquito services all services are supposed to be signed for in person. There no billing proceedings for the customer to review or customer portal to view. This is predatory behaviors on behalf of the company, Clear Defense Pest Control, towards any consumer, not just this consumer.

Sent their intern out door-to-door during the workday in the middle of a pandemic! I understand you guys need to do business but there has to be a better way to generate leads than this. I have pest service and wouldn't even consider switching as this was so off-putting.
