Proof Pest Control has been sending a door to door sales person to my home on a skate board for years. I have declined the services many times. Over the past couple years I have installed 4 no trespassing/no soliciting/private property signs. Two at my driveway, one at the entrance to my walkway, and one at my door right next the door and ring doorbell. The one by my door says to not knock or ring the doorbell and that there’s absolutely no soliciting. Both my husband and I have had this salesperson ignore all the signs and knock or ring anyway and have had to tell him to not come on our property. This week he did it again. Ignored the driveway signs, the walkway sign, and the sign next to the door. He proceeded to knock not once but three times on my door which I ignored. Then though, he lingered on my property on my driveway right up next to my garage door taking a phone call for 6 minutes. I had to go outside and ask him why he was on my property pointing out all the signs telling him to leave. He did leave. After reviewing my front door footage he not only ignored the signs and knocked three separate times, but he spit numerous times all over my front walkway. I don’t know who would purchase services from a company that sends a grown man on a skateboard, who trespasses illegally, and disgustingly spits all over your front entrance. I have all of this on camera. I had called the company and reported the trespassing. Once I saw the spitting I called back and left a voice message asking for a call back. No call back. If he shows up again, I will file trespassing charges. Sharing for the greater good.

If I could leave no stars I would. A tall redheaded guy came to my door in our private community that has clear "no soliciting" signs at the entrances. I told him that he would need to leave as our streets are not city streets and are owned by the community therefore we have 'no soliciting' signs that clearly state he could not be in our community knocking on doors. He then tried to sell me a service. When I pointed out to him that he was soliciting me and told him again he had to leave. He left and got on his little hoverboard thing and went over to an owner that was just pulling into their driveway. I hollered over to him that he needed to leave or I would call security or the cops. He came back to me and said 'what'? I told him again he needed to leave the community or I would call security or the cops. He then started to mock me by speaking jibberish back at me when I spoke. I told him I was going inside to call the police. As a board member I had every right to tell him to leave and our community has every right to not have people knocking on their door to sell things, since it is clearly posted 'no soliciting'. Your employee was unprofessional, rude and childish and apparently they can't follow posted instructions.

When I signed the contract it was stated that the technician would come before the start of the season and do treatment for the next season. At some point my treatment service was moved to the end of the first month of the season. The next time my treatment was moved almost to the end of the second month of the season. For the summer season my treatment was supposed to take place at the end of May, but no one ever showed up. I called at the beginning of June and found out that my treatment was supposed to take place on July 16. I explained the situation to Customer Service and they scheduled the treatment for June 12, I also asked to speak to the manager, to which I was told that the manager would call me back during the day, but no one has called me until now. After that I was very busy at work and also went on vacation and did not call them again until July 9. When I called again they scheduled the treatment for July 11, I also asked to speak to the manager again, to which I was again told that the manager would call me back during the day. I waited that day and the next day and no one ever called me. So on July 11th no one was there and I didn't receive any email that I would have a treatment. I called the customer service for the third time and asked to speak to a manager. They told me again that the manager would call back during the day. I didn't believe these words anymore and gave them two options: either speak to the manager or cancel the contract and return my money for the last two months, during which they did nothing, although they promised that they would come twice. From this whole situation it follows that for the 4 treatments that they are supposed to do per year, they only do three, but they conscientiously withdraw money from the credit card for all four. From this moment on, I will never recommend the service from Proof Pest Control to anyone.

More Pest problems with their services than without, I can do a better job with a trip to Home Depot. Don't be fooled by their money back guarantee, they deny guarantees even if you try to cancel service before your agreement is finished.

Super rude door to door salesman! Answered the door with a baby in my arms and my other young kids alone inside. It’s also 100° out and lunchtime. He did his thing for 5mins or so, I was polite and listened and told him I couldn’t do this now but asked him to leave info so we could reach out later. He asked for my phone number so the tech could call when he’s on the way. I said “we’re not customers yet, I need to talk to my fiance a bit more about it. If you give us your info we’ll talk about it and reach out.” He immediately turned around and walked away! I said, “Are you going to leave your info?” He said “no, you’re not going to do it” as he rudely threw his hands up and stormed down my driveway. Certainly not now we’re not 😂 I was interested, as I mentioned, just not able/willing to be pressured into signing up at that very moment. I had a baby in my arms and other young kids inside (and I don’t owe a stranger at my door that explanation). We have been discussing pest control and you just lost out on our ongoing business because of how rude you were.

CONSUMER BEWARE - DEALING WITH PROOF PEAT CONTROL HAS BEEN THE WORST PART MOVING TO THIS AREA. I moved here from Carson City and bought a new home here in the area. Shortly after I moved here a salesman came to my door soliciting business about 10 months ago. He said if I wasn’t happy I could canceled but asked to “give us a year.” To see if they would be effective in dealing with our insect problem. Seemed like a nice enough guy and so I signed up. Today I attempted to cancel and was told it would cost me $149 to cancel and it would be better to stay for the last two months, which would only cost $100 more. I wasn’t happy and eventually agreed, then told them to have my service canceled at the end of the two months. I was told that I would have to call back again ans cancel the appointment in July, after I paid for the final bill. The company will not let you cancel by email, you must call them in person. The service is okay, but not great, there’s still pests, just not as many. But misleading your customer or flat out lying and then blaming you for not reading the fine print is not. The lady on the phone apologized for the salesman misleading me but refused to cancel the account unless I paid a “cancelation fee” or had them complete the final two months. I love this area and the people in it, but was lied to by Proof Pest Control. Any service who misleads you, the. Essentially forces you to stay in a contract for services NOT YET rendered, and then goes out of their way to make it difficult for you to cancel is NOT putting the customer first.

We signed up for a contract to control pests at our home for $50 per month, what an absolute waste of money. We seem to have more spiders, ants, mice and now have some weird larvae infestation and according to the technician today they cannot do anything about them, so we are on our own fighting pests we will 100% not be renewing the contract and can not in good conscience refer any business to this company.

Not a fan of dishonest sales tactics. Don't tell me you're giving me a special rate because you're working in my neighborhood next week and then when I call back tell me that you "forgot to mention" that it's only if you commit to a whole year of service. Had I been told that upfront the conversation might ended differently. If you believe in your service, no need to use sleazy gimmicks and dishonesty.

Just say no. I signed up for pest service. They've spent more time texting, emailing and calling me than actually providing services. I've repeatedly asked them to stop bombarding me with nonsense and, this morning, I received an email, call and text about my upcoming service. My mind is absolutely blown that they think this is customer service. Instead of getting rid of pests, they are the pests. Just say no.
