I had FJ lawn and care come out and do work on our commercial property and Jim was amazing. He was respectful and knowledgeable about the property, and they type of grass we had. My driveway for my 2nd garage had not been shoveled for months and I needed it cleared asap! I contacted many different snow removal companies and none of them were willing to help! This man is very unprofessional, rescheduled with me four times due to personal issues. Wants money upfront, finally agreed to do per time and then on the first snow he called at 4 o’clock in the morning to cancel at the last minute. Shares his professional life, which is very unprofessional. Please Beware. ********I am adding my response to Jim ( the owner) see below regarding his comment to my review…….. Jim, I have no idea where you got that I was suing Sandoval? Not true!! However, this is not any type of retaliation, but a true review of your company and you. I have every single email that you sent to me that shows how unprofessional you were and and that is what I stated in my review. I also just now decided to look at some of your past reviews, and it looks like other people have ran into the same situation. My review will remain, as it is the truth.

I informed you that we could not take on more clients at this time due to staffing, over booked, and later in the day I was entertaining the idea, as I did try calling you back later today to discuss continuing on with service, as we did get things under control with routes, but you were the one mentioning your disdain for Sand**** Services for them taking your money and not doing their work, you suing them and some how I'm the one getting the review? I would appricuate it if you would remove the review, as we do not deserve it. I used their snow removal service at my home in a residential neighborhood from December 2021 through February 2022. Here’s my honest review of the pros and cons of their service. Pros: 1. The owner is really nice and genuinely seems to want to ensure his customers are happy. 2. They usually show up within 24-hours of the snowfall event. 3. If there are issues with the service, the owner is responsive and will make it right. Cons: 1. There are often issues with the service and I’ve had to call them back out several times in a few short months. 2. They show up at all hours of the night. Between the noise of their snowblower and the crew shouting to each other, they always wake me up and a neighbor has complained on a few occasions. 3. After one large snowfall event, they didn’t show up at all. I ended up shoveling myself and this was ultimately what led me to look for another service. When I explained this as my reasoning for canceling their service, the owner blamed me for not calling to tell him that they didn’t come out. (To be fair, he discounted service for the month). Final Thoughts: If you won’t mind having to call them back out to correct frequent issues with the service and won’t be disturbed by them working at all hours of the night, then this could be a great company to go with as the owner will work to make any issues right. My problem, and the reason for mine being a 3-star review, is that I do mind. Update: After cancelling service I was informed via a text message from the owner that were I to want to use his service next year I would have to pay for 3 additional months of this winter season (months I will not be receiving service for) and that it had “always been that way”. I had no contract with him, nothing was provided or even said to me indicating this policy. I informed him that this policy ensured that I would not be using his service ever again in the future. He sent me an angry text in which he used all caps to scream at me. I’m downgrading my rating from 3 stars to 2 stars based on this hostile reaction. Very unprofessional behavior.

In response to your review:<br><br>Our crews had performed snow removal at 1" trigger, and did come out within 24 hours, and yes, there was a missed outing, but did come back out immediately to cleanup a couple if times.<br><br>As far as time of day to remove snow? Winter storms finish up at different times of the day, and our crews need to start the routes within an hour or so to get down in a decent time, ie, city sidewalks, 24 hours, so, there are times our crews need to work through the night, not uncommon at all.<br><br>As far as contracts, yes we had a verbal, implied contract, as you gave authorization giving us your credit card info for monthly installments, and you giving 30 written notice. It's still my verbal policy to state that I require all unpaid months of previous years contract be paid up front if you chose to rehire the following season, my right to do so. We do have formal contracts through Joist that we use, but sometimes customers and I just do it informally as we did, which we didn't seem to have a problem with.<br><br>large caps, my apologies, as stated earlier to you, I thought meant several meanings, including emphasis, never intention of hostility.<br><br>Thank you for the high points, and we'll take these concerns into serious thought and try to improve as we move forward. Thanks again for your business, and by all means, reach out to us if you need service down the road, you just never know.

Plowing service incredibly slow, regularly left large areas unplowed/unshoveled or more often they showed up so late that I had already done the majority of the work. I just got a bill with OUTRAGEOUS extra charges- will NOT recommend or use again. EDIT in response - I guess my expectations of ensuring prompt service/consistent service by hiring a company on a contract is wildly unrealistic. One might think that having a contract would ensure service within a reasonable amount of time without requiring multiple calls/texts to check in.... but again, I must just be insane. For the amount of money they charge, babysitting should NOT be needed. I was never rude or mean- basically terrified to complain at all about quality because once you do, these guys can just decide to disappear/ stop coming out all together and then I'd be doubly screwed. I had high hopes for finding a good company that was based close to my home so that plow service would be prompt- my driveway is very steep and the city does not allow parking on-street overnight regardless of the season...this is NOT that company. Waiting 8+ hours with no ETA is not OK. Advice: If you can't provide timely service to all of the clients you've taken on, you should notify them or provide a discount/reimbursement. Also, if you're not going to make it out within the stated contract time (4-8 hrs) or at least the same day, a text or call saying so should be made.

Good morning Ms Blyth,<br><br>In response to this Review, we're very sorry you feel this way in regards to service. We are always working on our plowing times, which will be much faster next season, but times this season were still within contractual time. Trust me, there were companies that weren't out for days.<br><br>Each time our crews arrived to the property, we always did a thorough job with city walks, your staircase of steps, interior side walks, driveway, driveway entrance, etc., as I personally was there each and every time doing the driveway plowing. We do advise the customers, to please let the crews take care of the work, but do appreciate the help if the homeowner insists.<br><br>First and foremost, your March bill included April billing on invoice, as billing was done later. The billing was itemized and explained to you with the contractual Accumulative charges over CAP, per month, including March and April monthly due and our Admin, Kelly, advised to look at page 1 of your contract, as it advised the CAP, and the amount of the accumulative charges. Also, advised month of February saw over 38" of snow, which is not something normally seen. Nov, Dec, Jan, Mar, Apr, you are under CAP, so it was 1 month.<br><br>We really don't deserve this negative Review, as we did perform all services and charged to contract. You as well as everyone signed up for services know the uncertainty with snow accumulations, as none of us know from month to month what mother nature will bring in precipitation. So, please, explain to us how a 39" snow fall in February is our fault? We had made over 9 seperate trips to your property over 5 weeks to clear snow, with snow banks over 5 feet. All negative reviews are accurate and justified. Doesn’t deserve even 1 star. Authorized payed for an amount and three months later for an invoice of over $650. Said they did more work than actually received. Then harassed me for payment, over 20 voicemails/texts/emails in one day. Dishonest, disorganized, unreliable. Never use this company.

Ms Steele, yes, we were a few months late on billing, but it's not entirely uncommon for late billing. If this were such an issue, why didn't you call us a month ago, or 2 months ago looking for your bill? Do to late invoicing, we offered you $130 off bill to settle, plus discounts for next season spring cleanup at 50% off and free fertilizing, etc., plus offered you discounted products at my sisters weightloss clinics in AZ since you're down there, Medshape Weightloss, which BTW, have fantastic shakes and bars. 3 locations in AZ, and 3 in MN! But no, you had to smear a very good, reputable companies name online?<br><br>Look, we don't deserve this, you were never harrassed, we performed service on your property as you requested, completely beautifying your rental property, that took my crew hours to clean up, so, now what? You get a bill late, and go on the attack with me and my company? How mature! This is being reported to Google for removal as fraud, as we did nothing wrong!

OK...was looking for snow removal for this year....emailed him on his website....no response. I called and left a message....no call back. I called again and Jim answered and I told him what I needed. He said he would write up a quote and send me a contract on Monday (this was Friday). Never got anything from him....called him twice more and left messages....still got no reply. Don't waste your time with this guy/company....he doesn't seem to do what he says.....or he just doesn't need the business:)

I'm sorry folks, but these sorts of smear attacks on contractors is just ridiculous, and need to be dealt with.<br><br>This review is considered such due to it being untrue, hateful, spiteful, unfair, as our crews performed all services we were suppose to perform, lawn and snow, contracting with this persons Mother, not Pete. So, a week ago, we receive a very rude phone call from Pete cursing our field Manager, yelling, telling us how awful we are as a service provider because his leaves weren't picked up yet. Really, how unfair is that?<br><br>Do you not recall or remember Pete, that you, yourself, personally shook my hand, told me when I met you at your front door, that you were happy with service couple months ago, and things were great and were very happy with crews consistancy with everything we were doing? Of course not. I find this smear attack on Fj just horrible, and also how we were treated with that call.<br><br>We tried and tried, to explain to you, that we, like everyone else, were/are backed up with leaf cleanups this fall and ask everyone to be patient due to rain and snow, but it wasn't good enough for you, so you hung up. Very sorry for that Pete.<br><br>Pete, I can tell you this, we had many, many thanks from Helen Oconnor, Pete's Mother, from our snow and lawn services in the past. Where, Pete, exactly did we fail you?<br><br>Look Pete, we're sorry things didn't work out, or that you're mad because leaves aren't picked up yet. Called to have services done for my home and whoever answer the phone was very rude and short. He informed me that they were booked; which I understand, so I was trying to figure out how I could get a possible rate or quote for future purposes and he replied he's busy and have to go then hung up in my face before I could say anything. I've been working in customer service over 12 years now and that's definitely not the way to speak to possible customers. If he was so busy at the time all he had to do is ask if I could call back at a better time! Horrible horrible service and I never had any work done by them but with his attitude alone I would recommend going elsewhere!

What a terrible experience. I was referred to FJ by another lawn care service who was booked for the Fall and unfortunately did not read reviews before calling them. What a mistake. They showed up over 2 weeks late for Fall cleanup despite multiple calls when the agreed upon time lapsed. Worst of all, they charged me for 40 minutes they weren't there for a total of $383 for a tiny city lot, claiming it took nearly 2.5 hours with 3 guys. I contacted Jim for resolution and as confirmed by many other poor reviews, got nowhere, although after a while he did offer to give me a 2 weeks of snow removal (admission of guilt?). Never wanting to deal with this business again, I filed a dispute with American Express and won after a month-long investigation, so now there is on-record precedence for filing claims against the shenanigans they pull.

Mr Tschida,<br><br>As you and I had discussed before, we explained how our Fall cleanup services work as far as 'Time' on your property, and billing for services was explained before our crews started, and was explained that we do require a cradit card down, with authorization to run card once service was complete, which you and I agreed to, and we did. I'm sorry, but it didn't take a month for a billing dispute. Your dispute was a petty half hour of time that you stated we added on to the billing time to do your Fall cleanup. Well, sir, I was there, dropping off an employee to help complete your large cleanup, billing time was correct on our end. The dispute was completed with credit card company, correct, as I had no interest at this point on challenging your half hour of time dispute on the charge, as I am very busy now with snow removal, and managing business. Sir, you didn't submit a credit card charge dispute until a week or two ago, hasn't been a month.<br><br>To conclude, as stated to other customer, we do apologize for any time delays on getting to your property, as rain, wind, time constraints with previous cleanups, etc. can cause delays with getting to your cleanup. All in all, the crews did a fantastic job on your cleanup, with those 'ball park lines' that really stand out from the rest. Beautiful lawn to compliment a beautiful home. They do not come when they say they will. Requested spring clean up in March. They took my money. I never got a call back. I had to call them to ask when they were coming. They have given me two dates and they still haven't come. Liars and thieves. Stay away!

Unreliable service. Would not come out to service the yard on the days that they promised. Weed control was done late, so my yard looks horrible with crab grass. Unable to properly generate invoices, resulted in double-paying sales tax. Do not use this service supplier.
