We had a terrible chipmunk/mice problem in our garage around late spring about 2 years ago, and my husband and I had tried everything to get rid of them and nothing we tried really worked. We decided to call someone, and we were recommended Smitter by a friend of ours who hired them for a wasp nest and his mothers house, he said that the service was amazing and really helped them out and... I can confirm this company is legit! They were very helpful and informative about the process and bait they used, as well as answering any other questions I had. After just 1 week we started to see a major decrease in the damage being done in the garage from the critters, now our garage is now finally rodent free! Thank you!

Can't say enough great things about this company! The office girls were so nice and helpful even when I had to reschedule my appointment. The technician than came out was very professional and answered ALL of my questions while he found where the little buggers where coming in from. Been mouse free for over a month now! I have used John a few times. The first time it was to treat carpenter ants in my garage. He responded quickly and he was there the next day! Carpenter ants were gone! He most recently came to my house and sprayed the whole yard for ants and mosquitoes and that was successful as well, no surprise though. Last night I had ants entering my house and I completely freaked out and John talked to me after hours and explained what needed ti be done. He was to my house by 7:30am and sprayed inside. John is a very nice person who not only loves his job but his customers. If I could give him 10 stars, I would!

I can't speak highly enough about Smitter Pest Control! We had a situation where wasps were getting into our home. To my surprise, they were able to schedule our appointment the same day. In fact, a tech came out within hours of my phone call. It was a HUGE relief to me, as I was incredibly stressed out with the wasps getting inside the house. The woman I spoke to on the phone was phenomenal, and just very helpful and kind. The tech that came out was great, and very empathetic to our situation. Our entire experience with this company was wonderful. We had a handful of wasps that came through our basement after treatment, but they were lethargic and not a threat, and we were given a heads up in advance to potentially expect that. Smitter came out on Monday, and as of Wednesday, we no longer have any wasps 🙏 Thank you so much for your kindness and prompt service! :)

John was professional, courteous and helpful on his visit today. He recommended a few areas to seal up. He assured me the bait for the mice was completely out of reach from our pet. Overall, a good experience. Time will tell if treatment is working if no more mice. He said give it 2 weeks at least to do its job. I am confident it will be effective.

Inspection was done within a short period of time and was very helpful. The problem identified was very small and her recommended that I could fix/address the concern on my own. I appreciated the recommendations on how to fix on my own with out any pressure to buy additional services/products. In addition, it was my understanding that the initial inspection fee (which he kindly waived) would have applied to any services that had been provided. Highly recommend.

We sprayed your property for fleas on four separate occasions, but you were only charged for the first 2 visits. We confirmed on our last two visits that the fleas were eliminated and were no longer an issue.<br><br>Despite your claims that they were still there after our third visit, we did not find any active fleas on that visit or the next one. We also asked you several times to save any evidence of these active fleas so we could see them, but you were not able to produce any for us to see.<br><br>We have gone above and beyond in eliminating the fleas from your property so it is unfortunate that you do not reflect our efforts in your review. If you find any active fleas, please save evidence of them and we will address the issue.<br><br>We always stand behind our work but we cannot eliminate something that is no longer there. If you have any further questions or concerns, please reach out to us and we will do what we can to help.

Used them for ant and spider control at our business. On the most recent visit, the technician did not wear a mask while inside our offices and came within a few feet of several of our employees. Called to cancel our business, and the person said they do not wear masks unless they are asked. I wondered how that is professional behavior with a pandemic going on and she said "OK we will cancel your service" and then she just hung up. Wearing a mask does not just protect the one wearing it. It is worn as a courtesy to those that person interacts with. Unfortunately, mask wearing has been politicized. It is sad that this company has been negatively influenced by our country's "leaders" and do not fully understand why mask wearing saves lives.

We are sorry that you chose to cancel your service and for the recent issue during our last visit.<br><br>Although the majority of our commercial calls are made before or after hours with no one present, all of our technicians carry masks and wear them when asked to do so. On the most recent visit to your business, our technician knocked on the door and was greeted by someone who was not wearing a mask. He was not asked to wear a mask and, upon entering the business, he also noticed that no one in the office was wearing masks. Since no one asked him to wear one, he did not put his on.<br><br>At no time during the visit was he asked to put on a mask. If he had been asked, he would have complied immediately. As he was leaving, he was asked if he could wear a mask the next time he visited, which he readily agreed to do. Usually, our technicians try to mimic what they see, and since no one inside the business was wearing a mask, his interpretation was that he did not need to wear one either.<br><br>When you called to cancel, we agreed to your request and ended the call. It is our policy to do what customers ask us to do so we did not see any point in arguing with you. We realize that all businesses have their own preferences regarding mask wearing and we try to respect the wishes of each business accordingly.<br><br>We apologize if we misinterpreted your wishes.

Thank you.<br><br>UPDATE: The owner of our company has made several attempts to contact you to resolve your issue and has not heard back from anyone yet. I looked into your complaint and discovered several additional facts that you failed to mention in your review.<br><br>First, you were told before each treatment that eliminating bed bugs takes time, and that the process is not immediate. Second, despite us mentioning several times that spraying your own home-remedy on top of our treatments would render them less effective, you continued to spray rubbing-alcohol on top of our treatments. Third, we graciously went back to treat your property multiple times in a short time span, above and beyond what you contracted us to do.<br><br>We are sorry that your bed-bug issue is still unresolved, but we feel that we went well beyond what you paid us to do. The owner himself came and sprayed my house for bed bugs. This was an upper apartment house. He also did the downstairs tenants. He said their house was so disgusting he almost threw up. He said thats gotta be where they are coming from. He said i pay for two sprays which are two weeks apart. I did EVERY single thing on the list to prep for the spray. He said i did way more than anyone else ever does. I was determined to get this issue resolved. So he did the two sprays two weeks apart and said if we have any problem after that, then they come back for free. I still had a problem so they came back a third time two weeks after. Still two weeks after that, i was getting bit. I called and left a voicemail that friday morning when i woke up with the bites. Didnt hear back so i thought they must have been super busy. That Friday night i found one on my bedroom door; took a piece of tape, squished it and kept it for them to see. On monday afternoon they still hadn't returned my call, so i called again. Then the receptionist said they need to see a live bug. I said i have a bug that i caught...but automatically killed it, but i still had it! They said they wont come unless i catch a live bed bug for them. Mind you....i only seen TWO bedbugs over this entire time (2months) but i VERY often was getting bit. They said it doesnt matter bc i killed it, they wouldnt come til i catch a live one. I felt defeated. I left it alone but still continued to get bit and i called demanding that the owner get ahold of me....i demanded two different days and he still never called me. The receptionist was shocked because she said "i told him to call you yesterday!" The owner also told her - it could be coming from my sons dads house..which doesnt make sense because noone over there has gotten bit. Im beyond upset that i payed close to $400 to get this issue taken care of and its not. Everytime they came, i took every piece of clothing and linen out of the house, washed and dryed it...ive done absolutely everything i could! The receptionist also mentioned that they usually always can get rid of them in two sprays. I sure wish that was the case with mine because im the one out $400 and still having an issue. Im disgusted with the owner.

After reviewing your case with everyone involved this past weekend, including the owner, we feel that, despite our best efforts, you choose to hold us up to a much higher standard than we can be expected to reach. While we regret that you had an issue with our services, we went above and beyond in trying to help you rid your apartment of bed bugs.<br><br>However, we'd like to clear up some of the facts you incorrectly stated. First, your landlord actually contracted with us and paid us for the job. We do not know what she charged you but she was the one who paid us for the service.<br><br>Second, we DID show up to spray the residence a THIRD time, but you had already moved out. In our discussions, you had mentioned that you were moving out due to issues other than the bed bugs but you did not tell us when you were actually moving. When we showed up, we sprayed both your apartment and the one below it, where we thought the bed bug problem was originating.<br><br>Unfortunately, your calls and requests to have us come out and spray your new apartment were not part of the contract and it is against our company policy to do so.<br><br>As far as the phone communications, you called us multiple times and, despite you asking us to do things that we could not do, we responded each time you reached out to us. You did not always answer but we did make every effort to get back to you in a timely manner when you called.<br><br>Again, we are sorry that this incident did not work out in your favor but we feel that we went above and beyond to hold up our end of the deal and that your requests for further treatment at your new apartment were beyond the scope of our agreement.
