We have a rental house that was left by tenants with the lovely gift of (what we thought was just) mice. It was quite an unwanted surprise! Grand Rapids Pest Control came within a week for a treatment. The surprise continued when the mice were persistent and I called back to inquire. The customer service I received was TOP NOTCH over the phone, and we were able to diagnose that it was not just mice, but also rats. Grand Rapids Pest Control came the NEXT DAY to retreat with a plan to exterminate the rats in addition to the mice. We were in a bit of a crunch for time with only 2 weeks in between tenants in this rental house, and we had wonderful results in this window of time with the plan of action taken. Tenants were able to move into a mouse and rat free home. The Grand Rapids Pest Control team was incredibly wonderful to work with during every interaction. They were thorough in their delivery, kind in their understanding of our situation, persistent to get to the end, and provided plentiful education throughout the process to help us learn how to work alongside them to mitigate the problem. We would recommend them 100x over!

This company did a great job for me. I had springtails on my kitchen counter. Another exterminating company told me there was nothing that would get rid of them. Randy from Grand Rapids Pest Control was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He explained the problem was from mulch too close to the house. He sprayed once and the springtails were much reduced in number, then he came out and sprayed again. For over a month now, I have not had any of these annoying little insects in my kitchen. I am very happy. I will ask for Randy again for any other exterminating problems. Thank you!

Quick to respond to our carpenter ants 🐜 which were coming from?? Sprayed inside and out and my flower gardens have a lot of mulch. Have waited a week and no more ants; no chemical smell in or around the house; the office staff were soooo helpful; Randy was informative, through and Sprayed house, shed, trees and more. And price was reasonable and can't beat the 1 year warranty.

Was seeing carpenter ants in my basement and main floor after a neighbor took down an aging sickly tree. Fast forward one week and none can be found. Impressed by the fast service, the technician Randy's easy explanation to all my questions, follow through service the following day once rain stopped to complete the job and the companies commitment to not use harmful toxic chemicals. Not that I want to have pest issues in the future so GRPC will be my go to family owned company. Highly recommend. Again, thank you.

One year ago I had GRPC out to deal with outdoor carpenter ants. I was tired of them always crawling on me on our deck and other outer areas. The carpenter ants were GONE for an entire season. I don't know why I waited to do this... maybe because they were not inside our house. Will call again if needed!

Jackie - I'm sorry to hear you were waiting on a quote. I talked to my office staff and they let me know they had gotten the quote back to you - and that they wanted to see about getting you a discounted price for doing multiple properties in the Houghton Lake area (they had to get pricing from a manager and this is why it took a few days). Service should be explained better on the calls. They charged me $150 to place 8 bait blocks in my basement that I already have down there from the hardware store and another $65 to walk around the perimeter of my house to tell me that my plumbing was insulated. The service tech was here for less than 10 minutes. I only gave them a 2nd star because they agreed to cancel my invoice and have their tech come back and pick up the bait blocks that he put in my basement.

Sarah,<br>I spoke to the office staff who initially set your service. She said she discussed how our service works and you were apprehensive that it would work. She offered to give you the phone # of a wildlife/animal control company that we refer to, but you wanted to set services with us, so we did. The technician was there for closer to 20 minutes according to our vehicle gps trackers, and he did find a potential area of concern on the foundation and stopped that area. He said as he was at the foundation, your husband came out angry and because the situation escalated and it was very clear you didn't want the service we had to offer, he left. The tech did call the office and let me know you and your husband were unhappy and were going to call our office. He also mentioned you wanted him to find a potential dead animal, which is not something we offer or advertise that we offer. I was in the office when you and your husband both called, and I could hear as you proceeded to yell and curse at my office staff who was willing to do what needed to be done to resolve the situation. The resolution was to no charge your service, and come back to remove the bait blocks placed (at your request). The products we use are not products that can be purchased locally unless you are licensed to do so, it's not something you can purchase at a hardware store. I'm sorry you didn't find our services or resolution to be satisfactory, as we have done everything we can to leave things on a good note.
I organized a multiple house tick spray with Grand Rapids pest control. When I went back to check my cameras the day of the spray, I was blown away by the speedy, unprofessional spraying I saw. The total time they were at my house was too short and the areas sprayed were not covered well also a lot of area I could see in the cameras was just not sprayed. I hope they did a better job on the other houses they sprayed, but based on what I saw, I doubt it. We have received good service from them in the past. I’m not sure what changed but I would highly recommend using someone else if you are shopping around. Edit: Chris called and wanted to make it right after he saw the 1 star review. He agreed to come back and respray our yard. He came back promptly and sprayed the back of the yard. Never touched the front. So I’ll raise it to a 3 star due to the effort. Response to Chris’ response: I had a legitimate complaint about the quality of the job I paid for; and your response is to fire the customer who didn’t get what they paid for? To directly quote you, “Even though these issues were not due to fault on our part”? You did a lack luster job to start with, so you clearly did not take pride in your work. I was surprised when you offered to respray the yard, I thought with customer service like that this might work out ok. I didn’t realize when you offered to respray, you meant you would do half the job a second time.

Tim, thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. As you stated, you’ve received good service in the past. This instance differed in that this particular area not treated was between a chicken coop with chickens, and a vegetable garden. In addition, the camper in the driveway made it difficult to park to access the back. We did park the van in the neighbor's yard (as they gave permission to reach their own back wooded area) to hit your back wooded area that was not able to be seen by the cameras on your home. We also made sure you weren't seeing any ticks as the review was written over 4 weeks after the initial treatment. You stated you had not seen any ticks. We discussed these issues with you over the phone as well as the resolution.<br><br>Even though these issues were not due to fault on our part, we take pride in our work and agreed to re-spray. We have completed the treatment and went above and beyond to service you. As there is nothing left we can do, we thank you for your business and wish you well with your new service provider.

This place does not deserve your business. I purchased a new home and called this company to have them do a walk-thru and spray before we move in, as a preventative measure. The woman they have answering their phones has absolutely no customer service skills! She kept interrupting me while I was speaking and she seemed to get a lot of enjoyment from telling me what they DON'T DO. If she is the voice/face of their company then its speaks volumes. I will spend my money elsewhere.
