This is by far the worst pest company I have ever been associated with. They charge you monthly fees even when they don't come out to your house. The last visit, the technicians did not even come in and spray the house for insects/pests. Save yourself and find another company!!!!

I paid $1300 for bed bug service and never got rid of them and told me will have to pay $50 a month for a year to get rid of them. You pay that much to get rid of them they should do that. Customer for many years but not no more. Service manager was no help at all No communication at all. They are a Scam save your money

Absolutely terrible & horrible experience! Billing was a disaster from the start and only got worse even after my contract ended. I paid for services that, according to their own contract, were never actually performed, yet I kept having pest issues. To make matters worse, I caught a technician falsifying a completed service ticket, claiming work was done when it wasn’t. Completely dishonest and untrustworthy! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

They dropped my $62 dollar a month fee when I identified carpet beetles in my home. The owners brother came out the first time treated me like I was incompetent and only wanted to talk about “the fancy new truck he drove” called back x 2 was given the brush off Third call Keith came out and said “you’ll have no problems if needed we can retreat after 14 days” Called back After paying them 60+ bucks a month for year long protection when it was identified I had carpet beetles “They could no longer provide “the service I needed” from Keith Johnson They even billed me throughout this 3-4 month long ordeal Still dealing When I asked Keith big he could provide rodent protection in my garage that’s attached he told me “hi buy Tom Tom” it’ll do a better job” Will be contacting Attorney General and BBB Update after Emily posted her response Their “technicians” did NOT look at what I provided them Emily reached out, I was offered a refund of 2024 fees Only IF I took down my google review…however I would have to sign a non disclosure agreement… plus they’d treat one additional time I responded but they never responded Only to post their “response” on my initial review

Untrustworthy and priority is making money, not keeling customers. My property manager/friend recommended miller's as she has used them personally and for many clients in des moines area for years. She set up my account and had miller's contact me to put credit card on file for billing. 16 months later, we find out millers was billing her account, not mine. When confronted, even though they "record all conversations for blah blah blah" they did not have the conversation where they called to get updated cc info. We think that when my cc expired, miller's contacted my property manager and asked for an updated payment method without indicating which property. This property manager doesn't manage properties for anyone but 1 location for me, and her own properties. When miller's called to get updated card, they did not indicate which location they needed billing for and she gave her card not knowing they were billing against the wrong account. another possibility is that they just started charging her card on file for her properties for my rental because she had filled out the contract on my behalf. Would be solved if they "have every phone conversation but that one" according to the regional manager. Both myself and prop manager/friend, pay our bills and own multiple businesses/properties. Miller's regional manager agreed that they should verify locations being billed when they call for payment but since it was not policy when this occurred, they will not refund my property manager for billing her account for over a year for the wrong property. They do everything email so never once sent out an invoice or even leave a note on the door to say they went out. They call me to collect their $1200 for 5 treatments I have no proof even happened so they can reinburse the person they wrongly billed but "followed their policy and did nothing wrong".....even though they admit that the script should be (and will be) changed to ensure this doesn't happen again. And "most of our accounts are single family, personal residents, so when we call we don't identify the address because most everyone only has one property"....well we don't. We have many and miller's was willing to 1, lose our business over 1200 bucks, and all of my prop manager/friend/realtor business and referrals. Once we all had a come to Jesus meeting, got all the info out, looked at h9w many accounts my prop manager has had for 10+ years and always paid on time....to see this wasn't someone trying to not pay their bills...this was miller's flaws in their script for billing collection by NOT disclosing which account they are collecting for, they still stood by that they did nothing wrong and would not reimbursed the person they billed for someone else's property but in the same breath recognized and admitted that the policy needed to be changed and this was an isolated incident. Well then do right by your customer, keep them and all their decade of business and future business they will bring by doing then right, THEN change policy, and move on. Nope. $1200 was worth 2 pissed customers and who knows how many missed future encounters. U don't see how this was a good business decision. I'd fire whoever made that call....

Do not use this business. I signed up for a two year servicing agreement and they automatically rolled it into a monthly bill. During the two year time frame they only applied interior pest control one time. When I cancelled the service the technician showed up to remove bait stations and set outside my house like a stalker. The level of service is not acceptable for what you pay.

We reached out to Miller Pest, after reviewing other companies in the area. They were kind and eager to get service started. My main issue was that my rental home was vacant for years prior and is infested by many varieties of spiders, wasps, other bugs that were infiltrating everywhere. They assured me their bug spray would solve the problem. We had them come out a few times, and admittedly the bug issue was minimized slightly but not anywhere near resolved. The first time they came to spray the technician sprayed the wrong spray and made everyone in my home sick with nausea and headache. I called in and another technician came out and showed me that the previous guy had used the wrong solution (he sprayed the solution outside and had me smell from a few feet away) and although not deadly it's not sprayed while people/animals are in the home. The next few times, after repeated requests not to, technicians kept showing up during my sons nap times. I even had to call in twice and specifically ask for a note to be put on my account. The last 2 times they've came they only sprayed the upstairs and outside. They did not put sticky boards or spray in the basement like I requested. In the midst of this, we were still experiencing large (size of your hand) wolf spiders, and over 20 bees in the front and back that would attack us if he walked out the doors. Today I called in and asked to be refunded and have my contract shut off. I was told that no refund will be made as it's in my contract that I will be charged monthly even if no service is tendered. When I asked if I could at least stop the contract, the rep put me on hold to talk to the manager Laura, he came back after a few minutes and said that I'm still on contract so if I want to cancel today I would need to pay for the remainder of the contract. I am saddened there are people in customer service that behave this way. No decency and no communication. The manager didn't even bother to talk to me. I will not be doing service with Miller and would advise anyone that is/will be to make sure you really watch what service they are providing and pay attention to the fine print of your contract. I had an annual service contract with them, they came out once and did their thing and I paid via automatic payment. Apparently at the end of the year the auto payments stopped, but they kept coming and emailed me invoices. I didn't realize this because the emails went to a spam folder. By the time I realized this they already sent it to collections. I understand that it's my responsibility to pay, but I paid every month for a year, so it only seems reasonable that if I stop paying all of a sudden that maybe there's an issue. Maybe try calling before sending it collections? I had good experiences with them prior to this, but based on this experience I can't recommend Miller the Killer.

Do NOT sign any service contract with Miller Pest & Termite. I initially paid $149.79 for removal of yellow jacket nests near my entryway and then they talked me into putting sticky pads in my basement for spiders and an outdoor rodent trap - even though I told them I’ve never had mice problems. All of this probably would have been $50 in equipment if I’d done it myself, but I didn’t feel like it at the time. I signed a service contract thinking it would cover if they had to come back. Which they did once to spray for the yellow jackets. It was probably a total of less than 60 minutes that they were at my house. Since then they’ve charged me $53.49 every month and the only “service” I’ve received is every couple months I get a tag on my front door telling me they stopped by and checked the outdoor rodent trap. I’ve still never had mice problems, but the monthly charge ate into my savings. My advice is to really read the contract, ask questions and not sign it if you can’t afford $53.49 per month for nothing.

Miller had a great service and did great work. I paid on time. I gave them access to my home when they called ahead. I thought it was a good relationship! Today, I get a voicemail that they are releasing me as a customer and that I should go somewhere else. They did not give me a reason. Very strange... I call to speak to the owner and he says his son has taken over an is getting rid of customers that aren't making them money...
