Indianapolis Pest Control

Hard sell. Pressure to sign. Knew very little about bugs and other pests. Said 30 people in our neighborhood signed up... we only have 38 lots...obviously willing to lie to make the sale. Watch for fake reviews/reviewers.

We have been using Alterra now terminex for a couple of years now and Yes we were approached like a lot of others by them coming to the house and we thought ok, give them a try And at the beginning they were a bit rusty but as of today they have come a long way. They have always done everything they could to make us happy. Yesterday a man named Mark came out to spray and did such a great job , even came into our sun porch got all the cobwebs down then sprayed. They have never done that before. You could tell he cares about his job and the customer. Thank you , Mark.

One of the sales reps just knocked on my door at 9:09 PM. Then actually had the nerve to be a smartass when I told him I was good to go. I guess he missed the No Soliciting sign at the entrance of my neighborhood. Come on guys.

These guys talked me into trying them while canvassing the neighborhood, I normally don't bite on a door to door sales pitch, but I'd heard of them and thought they were reputable. They offered a deep discount on the first service if you signed up for quarterly (99 dollar) treatments. While it was nice not having to worry about it, their service did nothing for the spiders or silverfish (probably because the wouldn't de-web the crawl space) and the ants needed re-treatment and are already back. All the staff I interacted with were super-friendly, professional, and arrived on time, but ultimately the product isn't worth what I paid for it.

I'm kicking myself for ever signing a contract with this company! From the initial salesperson that came to our door and LIED about what their services actually entail to the winter quarterly where they send someone out who does NOTHING (and you pay full price for it) and incompetent service techs who know NOTHING about insects, I've just had it! Today marks the third scheduled visit that they were not able to complete. The first two, they never showed, never called. At least today they had the decency to send an email that my appt. was canceled. When i called to complain, they had the nerve to tell me that I need to pay them $50 to get out of my contract when they are the ones that missed an appointment 3 times over the span of a month!! It's laughable. This company is a joke!!! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT sign a contract with this ridiculous company! Wish I would have checked the reviews before I did :/

I was very pleased with the 3 young professionals that applied my insect control. Trey presented everything to me in a professional way. I recommend Alterra very highly.

Switching back to Insight pest solutions! Service has been horrible . Insight dewebbs my house perfectly every time and have the most professional technicians i have ever worked with. Don't sign with Altera!

Mark P. was very polite and he made sure he gave me all info for paperwork. Took care of all items inside as well as outside home. Mark P. made sure to tell me he would be back in a month to follow up. Mark P. was a good tech.

Outrageously priced for a horrible service. Their products make the problems worse, employees are late for scheduled service. Do NOT sign a contract with them!

Does not work, its like if they're spraying water! But the personnel are very kind, just their products are no good

I would not recommend anyone entering into a contract with this company. My experience with Alterra has been that their products do not work at all. Each time a "service" was performed on my yard, I would be calling them back with 7-10 days to tell them that spider webs were all back and ants had re-appeared. Every time I would call back, I would get excuses about it being a bad season for spiders or that the recent rain caused bugs to hatch more eggs or that the humidity was creating more bugs. The bottom line is that there was always an excuse but never any results. Upon signing up for services with Alterra, the gentleman told me that the agreement could be cancelled without penalty if I was completely unsatisfied. I felt that after the 4th scheduled treatment and countless call-backs it was time to end my relationship with this company. I was shocked to hear that they want to charge me a cancellation fee of $160, even though I have already paid for multiple quarterly treatments and have not seen any benefits from their services. WARNING: Stay away from Alterra if you want actual pest control that works.

Not sure where these positive reviews are coming from. This company is a scam. They came through the neighborhood with a 'discount'. Did the first application without my consent and billed me. After basically forcing me until into service, I realized their treatments did nothing for pest control in the house. After canceling, they charged me for the so called 'discount' of $150 on top of other charges. Stay far away.

I hate this company and the people offering customer service. they dont know how to retain customers. when they come to your home first time they begging for giving u a chance. later they dont even care about you or the problems u have with pests at your home.

Blake Brill from Alterra listened to my concerns of bees and spiders. He addressed the problem and explained how he was working to get rid of them. All technicians from Alterra that have serviced my home were professional and polite. Angela R

Casey did an outstanding job. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. He even cleaned out the garage cobwebs and donated to my son's school fundraiser. I would highly recommend Alterra. We have used several others in the past and so far, I'm most impressed with Alterra.

Horrible service. Would be nice to not have a million bugs and spiders all over the house after 2 treatment. They swindle you in with a cheap first visit but once you recognize their garbage service and cancel you have to pay almost $200.

The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. The management was incompetent and so were the service techs. Their product was not getting rid of the insects around my house. They refused to let me out of contract. When my contract was finally fullfilled, they continued to send bills. I have spoken to several different people claiming to be managers who cancelled my service but they continued to bill me. I never once saw a technician spray my yard, either. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

The service tech Kyle L. that came to my house was very polite and professional. Even though the person who came to advertise your services failed to mention to him that he was suppose to spay for ants in our pantry, he did it anyway. I was really happy about not having to make another appointment.

Derrick did a great job answering all my questions! It feels good to know they will come take care of any remaining eggs next month and I can vacuum up all the corner bugs and webs for the last time! And if not....they'll be back for free!

Tony B our service pro and Connor the sales rep did a fantastic job on not only giving us the right price on Alterra services , but they also were very personable and kind. My wife and I were very pleased with their explanation of the service and giving us an idea of how it will help with pest control for the life on the home. We are very excited to be their client and have their service to keep the pests out!

Ashley was the route manager that serviced our house. She was professional, kind, and very focused on her job. She was able to answer all of my questions and more. She was patient and worked well with kids in the room she needed to spray. I would definitely like her back to do the quarterly job. Thank you Ashely!

We had Alterra Pest Control out yesterday to spray both the inside and outside of our home. The representative Kyle L. was professional, courteous, and did an outstanding job. He explained everything he was doing and was personable. Thanks Alterra!

I highly recommend Alterra for your insect problems inside and out. They definitely took care of mine! Service Pro, Javan was very professional and did an excellent job of explaining how Alterra Pest Control works and if I should see any pests at any time, call them and they will come back to take care of the problem without any additional charges to me. Just got my first service from Alterra. Ashley who was my Service Pro was very informative about the service and very detailed in her work. Very happy with my service today.

My pests were serviced by Derrick today. Brett and Derrick were very professional and polite. The details of the treatment/service were explained to me, price was within reason...my bee nests are gone and I was assured if I continue to have spider issues...they will be back out to take care of them. Pleased with the service!
