We had Juanyei today for our 2nd visit from bulwark. He has been very knowledgeable and went above and beyond setting traps for us in the spaces we felt comfortable. He came out day of when we called in regards to pest activity.

Bulwark Exterminating was efficient with dealing with my pest control problem (mice). Jimmy had great energy and taught me a lot about the product and the traps. These guys are awesome! Especially the tech that serviced my house today, Andrew I. He was so respectful in and around my home and wore shoe protectors before coming in. He listened to all of my ramblings about everything and thoroughly addressed all my concern areas plus more. It feels so good to have my ant problem being taken care of by such a competent team!

UPDATE: On 12/23/2025 tech "Andrew" came to our house to perform a follow-up treatment. He was professional, kind, courteous, respectful of our property (home interior). Good listener. I never felt uncomfortable with him in our home. He was not rushed getting the job done. Great guy! However, I probably will not rehire Bulwark for 2026 due to a billing/service contract issue that has nothing to do with Andrew's performance. It turns our after several conversations with Bulwark phone staff in Arizona, we never received a proper carpenter ant treatment. Several different reps told me carpenter ant treatments involve drillng into the immediate area where sawdust was present, which according to their phone reps include the exterior, interior and oftentimes inside the crawl space. This type of treatment was never done throughout several visits since July 2025. We received only general bug spray treatments and one granular perimeter treatment. There was a $25.00 upcharge for carpenter ant treatments, and Bulwark eventually credited back my credit card account (rather than leaving my credits on their account for "future" charges) $50 for two carpenter ant treatments we never recieved. I feel like we got charged for a base plan ($185.00) plus a carpenter ant treatment plan ($25.00 add-on cost) to combat a suspected carpenter ant problem and received only a general bug/insect treatment that we really did not need. --- July 2025 First time I had to hire an exterminator in my lifetime to combat aggressive ants, possibly Carpener ants, although none were visible during the initial visit because it was pouring rain. Nick Macleod was the first face-to-face contact I had with the company. Polite. Courteous. Well spoken. Listened to my concerns and addressed the issues. He was the FIRST employee to tell me I had FREE return visits if the problems were not resolved with any treatment for UP TO ONE YEAR. We also have a problem with skinks and had serveral inside our home. We think one or more got into our kitchen wall cavity. Nick said they CANNOT get rid of skinks and he did not know who to call for that issue. That was a surprise to me because the company also treats for rodents, bees, bats, etc. and they also do general wildlife removal per service options listed on this review form. Disappointed about that fact. He treated inside only due to the rain, and he told me to call back and reschedule for the outdoor power spray treatment when it was not supposed to rain. It is too early to tell if the treatments will work as the outdoor spray is scheduled for tomorrow. Time will tell. So far, good experince! No idea what to do about the skinks however.

So I originally gave 5 stars. After doing so though, I noticed they only done 2 rooms of my trailer. He sprayed so much under my couch it ran out from under into the middle of my living room floor. I had to go behind him and throw my dogs food and water dish out cause he sprayed right next to it. He could have had me move it I was right there. He baited one cabinet. Left the others undone. And sprayed by an open cabinet of dishes. I wasn't going to say anything cause honestly idk what their idea of full service was. But now me and my fiance have been sick since and I honestly don't know what to do cause I have know proof of any of this happening besides my word

They charged my credit card back in October. I have never used their services, and now looking at their website, they don't even service my zip code. I had to do a chargeback to get my money back. I am now looking at my digital wallet on Chase, and somehow they had been given authorization to my card, which I certainly did not provide. This is incredibly shady. I would be very careful with this business.

Came home Thursday to 300 carpenter ants in my living room. Luckily, Bulwarks was on the call to come Friday between 5-9 (or so I thought). Sales rep had me assured of what I thought would be a pleasant experience and resolution, and I was told I’d receive a call when the service rep was 30 minutes out around 4-4:30 more than likely. Well, I had that call at 1:30 and missed it when I had just left work for vacation and was ignoring several calls from carriers and customers I work with. He didn’t leave a voicemail so had no idea it was Adam. I’m going to assume Adam had a rough week and I will give him some benefit of the doubt. I get home at 4:45pm and to my surprise there was already a card attached to my porch door that they had been there. No notes of what was done, no call since 1:30, nothing. I called Bulwaks back panicking and apparently he had sprayed all over my porch which was great but wanted to reschedule the interior for Saturday (I wasn’t going to be here). I called upset because it needed to be taken care of asap and the customer service rep explained the situation. I was told they got another rep to come out and finish the job. Well, turns out that was a lie, and disgruntled angry Adam showed up and was clearly in a rush to leave asap. I tried to be courteous but figured out he was the original rep and was very salty about having to drive through rush hour to honor the appointment on a Friday. It was extremely uncomfortable, and not what I was sold. I was also sold that this would be one of two treatments (fine), and that it wouldn’t be a bandaid. Well, it was basically just spraying. Again, if it works, then that’s fine. I’m glad they honored my appointment, but the miscommunication and attitude I had to deal with were pretty unsettling. I hope Adam has a better night. Sorry, it’s hot out and maybe you had plans so you were trying to get your day over with asap but unfortunately that’s not the customer’s concern or what I was sold on. I don’t mean to be an inconvenience but apparently I am. Hope that experience was an anomaly.

My technician Jasmine Adams from the Indianapolis location did an excellent job. She explained everything she was going to do. She was fast and efficient. She treated inside and outside my new home to ensure it stays bug /termite free. Very pleased with the service Jasmine provided. Unfortunately Jasmine has left the company. My new tech isn't as good.
Extremely dissatisfied. The 'free retreatments' did not happen at all. Customer service was virtually worthless. Multiple phone calls to try and get service cancelled. We were issued credits that somehow never applied to our account, so we were still charged. They claimed not to know that we wanted treated inside the house, despite me being clear that we had centipedes and spiders in our daughters bedroom after their first treatment. Feels more like a scam than a real service.

It seems this was never<br>rescheduled and we do apologize. We do also see you were promised the<br>next every other month treatment for free. The account was set up on a<br>monthly warranty charge. Due to this you were still charged and this<br>is also a mistake on our end for not removing you off that warranty<br>charge temporarily. We really would like the opportunity to make this<br>right with you and have a quality control manager speak with you to<br>ensure everything on the account is set up properly including the free<br>service. Pick a different company! I beg you! There's NO good communication (saying they'll be there within a certain window & not showing up at all or after 7pm). Then when you try to talk to customer service they keep transferring you so you'll give up. They charge you $50 for coming out, even with spraying not being done at all. They won't let you cancel the monthly protection plan, even with no contract & asking REPEATEDLY to cancel. They feel so much like a scam that it's truly scary they haven't been held accountable yet. At the end we had to talk to no less than FIVE TRANSFERS just to get someone to CANCEL any future service (and all this without a contract). THEY STOLE $100 from us without ever providing the service it supposedly paid for!!!

This is the most incompetent business I've ever encountered. I was scheduled for service, signed an agreement, gave my credit card information, all for the appointment to not be input into the system. I sat around waiting for them for almost two hours & when I finally called to check an ETA, I was met with the most rude, uncaring, nonchalant supervisor ever. I highly recommend finding a different business to handle your pest control needs. If you want them actually taken care of, I mean.
